Yeah, the "joy of weekends". I didnt play much, 2 fast "good night games" tough: One is a 3-starer, and two is a 5 starer. Both are ok because I had the feeling both of the teams were listening and at least tried their best; and no parasite setting the autopilot and going afk. Think I got even complimented ... and thats even without yelling at people; how unfamiliar.

Well I am not complaining either. A real pitty you can fav a post only once. Just to give a idea. There was this one day somewhat recently even, rain and 9 °C in the morning - and I was so content to be able to walk to work without all the damn heat; and with 9 °C I certainly wont wear a jacket or anything, since I am actively moving around - a simple T-shirt will do. As I am quite comfy around those temperatures, you cant imagine the pure hell 30+ outdoors is for me. At 0°C and wind I wear what other consider a wind jacket. If its windy I might close the buttons, thats about it. I would be surprised if I would wear a jacket to work before its November/December (aside from rain maybe). They are indeed! You will notice (or maybe not, I wouldnt bet on anything in your case) that most of the lines are towards lup3s, a player whose opinion and person I highly respect and value, even if we disagree - unlike ...... well subjects like you. Indeed it isnt, but then again WG is heavily leading them on into this mode. Its the sugar trail/cockroach-issue again. Also the "premium for the ranked season"-advertisments are not helping either. Again as I said countless time the playerbase is only a symptom of the bigger problem at hand. This one of the many reasons I have such a sunny disposition towards WG. Well I do have 20 mio in the bank again, I am not hurting either. You know how it is, I can hold myself against most wallet warriors, without being an exceptional player myself, its a matter of principle. Had I known all this/WG being more honest about their p2w-project years ago, I wouldnt have even bothered. You see how it is, Stultitia permagna even in this thread; I wonder how many of those would still be on the "Martin Shkreli"-side of things when they need to "outp2w" others in a "more serious matter". These are the players demanding even more broken premiums next time -> example Eugen/Hipper. Eugen is still p2w but not a issue, but its a "bad/boring/whatever premium" because it doesnt outright face roll. Most wallet warrior without skill dont even realise that a more lvl play field would also benefit them, as they get even harder owned by good+premium players. Example for that is to be found right in the thread above even. Objection: Ships like the Belfast and Scharnhorst are highly friendlily and able to face roll on their own account. I also say having CE on a DD, derping around but out spotting a DD of an equally (un?)skilled player is a huge huge thing. Its not the fact that it cant be done. Sub 50 % WR players holding rank 1 are a testimony what can be done; and btw: Where were those captains trained? All in silver ships without a single bought flag? Without any additonal flags from making 3 containers a day easily? Without flags gained from easly done missions? Whitout dragon flags from holding T10, payed for with premium ships and time? Without premium time? All retrained to that ship used strictly none-p2w? Again the p2w in this game goes deeper than just premium ships/time themselves. Just as an example: I would like to try the "super-gears build" on some on my IJN cruisers. I cant, its way to much silver consuming ....... and thats just silver; the most long term resource you could try to tryhard farm if you really wished too. Immagine what it is like to play around with captain skills. Premium player can now use their plentifull elite xp or outright their wallet .......... Again another reason why you cant compete (successfully) with some one of equal skill also using its wallet. ....... meanwhile: Silver peasant that did nothing wrong are stuck with IFHE on their ie Königsberg/Nürnberg; and its not been the first time WG shafted players with changing skills without compensation with a free respec. This has more to do with the player at hand. Imagine playing chess. One sides gets a "third row" of figures. It still means you can "fool mate" them early or win somehow else - but that is no way a indication its a level playing field. Staying with chess, imagine if at tournaments they would "auction" the right to play as white. Doesnt mean black wont win, but it does mean it will only do that 44-48 % of the time, on average - and WoWs is not nearly as lvl with a multitude of advantages for sale.

Ah you can really taste the confusion; giving up a p2w ship thats no longer available/hard to get - why would you do that? Yes. Could it be that I dont want a unbalanced game? With unfair advantages? If I want that I play a sp game and set the AI to whatever cheat lvl I want to get a challenge out of it. Also WG seems to think that they cant nerf premiums because people would throw a tantrum (theft, hussle and what else) and ask WG to take them away and give them a refund. So, since they can shove any p2w-ship up theirs and turned the Kami into one, I now ask for compensation. I know they dont like giving money to people directly, so I even offer them a way to file it under charity and be the good guy in that story. In this thread? To dispel some BS and assumptions sprouted above. If you cant figure it out why elsewhere than that treatment is somebody elses job. If I was some sort of "Robin Hood" I would start first with "burning WG holdings" and plundering their vault dont you think? And no this isnt about poor or rich, this is about game balance. Want to support WG? Buy a mug or a T-Shirt, something not p2w. Fun fact: If I wouldnt be healthy, I wouldnt be allowed to work where I do. If you just want to pay for your hobby and keep the servers running, go get a mug or a T-Shirt from the premium shop. Make a direct donation if you want. You can even wrooom wroom in your bathtub with those model-kits; theres no need to wallet warrior away in p2w ships if thats the only reason. Which I covered already with: Doesnt cover the p2w problem on the other tiers tough, and ranked has been all over the tiers so far. Just the fact that WG hasnt been able to sufficiently blight all tiers with p2w is not a merit on their account. This is where I disagree heavily. Its all only cheap and easy if its done with a strong backup of premium in either ships or time; esp. for the average player. For example: A 10 pts captain is a huge deal, esp. after they increased the requirements, and cant be done fast nor easily. If you bring him up from lower tier ships he is likely going to end up with "wrong" skills which can be only really rectified via p2w, if you train him from the midtiers you are lacking crucial skills for a long time and will only be finished by t7/8; at which point you will have to deal with full 16-19 pts p2w armada. So the basic camos, and the then the consumable, and then ammo and repair costs. Just as an example: Leander costs 112500 creds in consumed equipment per battle alone; this means the average player already make a heavy loss on average per game. Lets say the average player does 1-2 lower tier battles to finance that (at which point he gets farmed by Nikolai p2w-sealclubbers), this means the premium player is ahead at least 10-20 times in xp, and probably rank. And well, if he doesnt run everything ..... then those are the few % WR missing to a equally skilled player and his wallet. And its all interlinked. If you do p2w you have more containers, more xp, free xp, you spend less times on inferior captains or inferior ships etc ..... its all amplifying each other. Most recent example: Elite captain xp. So it was not enough people would own you in high tiers, they have ultra-high skilled captains even on the low and mid tiers thanks to elite xp from insane 19 pts captains swabbing over other captain; which makes everything even more damning. Going from 10 to 14 pts is like ......... I dont know? 200 games? - Or this: ........ and no. I dont have any doubt I would get owned by this guy even in a 19 vs 1 pts captain situation; but the point rather is that I also know I would own myself decisively in a low cap. vs high. cap situation. Meanwhile: 19 pts are not enough! Ofc; I really wonder when WG will increase the cap again. Or will they just enhance the p2w along the route of heroic commanders? Because its not enough you have to fight against highly trained captain, its only really balanced if the skills they pick are also offer vastly more performance. I know both sides because usually when I do get free p2w-time from WG (unasked and inundated btw) , Ill spend it in co-op, but if I dont ....... well its just insane! 3 containers/day? Easy. 30 k captain xp per game? No problem. And again it all amplifies each other: If do more p2w, you get more whatever (ie dragonflags), which help you getting more whatever in the future, or doing a p2w-tailored mission from Wg. No amount of skill can ever compensate for that on the raw numbers site (none linear rewards make quite sure of that). This alone wouldnt be damning, but then ofc the ships have to be overall better too. In the beginning premiums would be supposed to be inferior to compensate for the advantage on the captain and cred/xp earning side. Again if Premiums have no issues, let people play them without the cred/xp gain too on a "rental model". And dont forget OP silver ship: People flock to those like flies to the dungpile. Meanwhile a T10 for a silver player is a huge investment that can be only done in a very long run; after which its nerved. I have been grinding the IJN line from the beginning - never had stealth fire on Mogami, never had it on Zao. Same goes with any new mechanic: Silver peasants only get there after everybody and their dogs knows about them; so no easy surprise kills, no training in them for Months when they get released on a peasant line. I think in the end it comes down to premium players*) both having better ships overall and then better captains (fewer captains needed, highly trained overall, p2w ships that dont require captains skills to be highly effective) with an overall of 20-50 times higher gain. With figures like that, and the the better ships, there is simply no way to compensate for that for a player not participating in the p2w. *) Its not like WG doesnt deserve to be paid (well what "they deserve" is in fact a different matter altogether ....), but its also not like you can pay ie 50 + 30 +30 + 30 € and be done with it, having an equal ground for anyone. So the performance outcome depends highly on the amount of p2w; and WG makes sure there is no shortage of ways to out-p2w others. I do enjoy playing with the forumites, but I am playing less and less. Same goes for the forum. So yeah, we will see.

I am from central europe, have a good job and I can easily afford it. I would have even sunk way more money into the game if not for the p2w and "other things". I have given WG the offer to take my Kami away, since its p2w now, dont give any money as compensation to me directly, but donate its price to the ABCSG or ACS (they do have a big fat donate button right on their main page). If you dont believe me (as I know, giving up p2w ships is concept very alien to you) on that one, use the forum search, ABCSG is not a frequent term and you should get pinpoint results. At this point however, I will gladly take up any chance on economically damaging WG. Pay 100 € so WG looses 100 €? Just point me in the direction. I know I cant outp2w them, just like in the game, that way, but its a start. Btw: Its quite telling and also quite damning you immediately go to the unemployed/poor line, as people cant possibly have other reasons, right? Hope you dont mind if I do the same looking at your collection of wallet warrior ships and assume how much worse things would look like without the p2w.

First of all: All those ships with less than 10 pts captains, right? Because CE is overated on DDs and Air.sup. on a CV? Or just some additional skills like BFT, SI, AR. I wonder what people would say if, just for one or two days, those skills would give a disadvantage of the same magnitude. Better yet, if all those premium ship barely hold any advantage, why not have them for rental, ranked only, with a full 19 pts captain. Equal grounds for anyone then ........ like a competition? Well if this ranked mode is supposed to be anything like competitive, then its truly "as clean" a russian sport-team. Not thinking for a moment that the others a any better, but lets just say the russian are more "try hard". Keep using your Fuso then, Ill try Mutsu, Arizona and Warspite in the meantime, even Dunkerque has some merrits - oh well, if I could ofc. Another ship best reserved for plebs farming random damage. Dont get me wrong, it is potent and can be a gamechanger in skilled hands. On the other hand ships like the Molotov are a straight up upgrade over the Budyoni. Same thing with the Perth, as I wouldnt bother with Leander any more. Yeah "free" as in hidden behind a soft pay wall of a campaign which is best done, surprise surprise, with p2w ships and p2w time. Same "free" essentially as the Missouri. Its still considered a premium btw and you can throw in those highly trained captains and farm plebs which are even struggling to get CE for their ship. ............and btw: The Kami would be supperior, but alas its T 6 only. I cant wait to hear somebody exclaim: A shame you cant bring the Independence to ranked, as it clearly the better CV compared to Saipan. And this is with T 6 having a rather "low" density of p2w ships, for example there is no p2w CV - yet. Having that whatever-Ranger against a ASuprem.-balanced Sai-pain is oh so very fair. Its amazing to what great length people go to defending the p2w in this game, but I recognized the nick to late or I wouldnt have wasted so much time on the literal potato. I cant even remember what the topic was about, but the nick and the "quality of its word of wisdom" are recognised and remembered.

Played 13 battles - cruiser only, won 8 of them. Thats 60 something WR; sill ragequit. I would have needed 1 more star for a day of premium and the -5 % flag ... so its a really dumb thing to do, but considering all things: No, just no. Still 13 games in a ranked season is the highest amount I was able to do so far; might be Leander being able to actually going after enemy DDs n stuff ......... The over 100 battles and such which I am reading here is way past threshold of enduring the parasites anyway - theres only so much Star-Keeper-Fuso you can take. Also the p2w is insane. Better ships, better captains which are ofc specifically trained for ranked ....... yeah I can already see why WG thinks ranked is a good thing.

Finally! I told in advance about key elements. I stayed in "bad but critically important spots" (in terms of farming dmg/planes), loosing out both in planes and dmg so we could do this. I read the minimap where I needed to substitute for the others. I even blocked 2 torps so they wouldnt reach the convoy .... The only thing I didnt do was drawing a picture for the team ..... This is actually pretty hard. Playing, using chat, not loosing sanity ...... last point probably the most. Our bottom Anthony, the one that kept us from tactical expertise alone (I konw 3 guys died total, but he first and without reason) died EAST of the small minefield. After me going on where the fighter battle would be, and how desperately we would need to win that one by driving beneath it. Comming back to the "thats hard"-part, because thats also on the table (I think its the first time I actually lost that one) : (Same effort taken as the solo 5 starer above - which was the 3rd try today. I took the risk and tried to pick up survivors to keep us over 3k, but Sky Cancer said no. You knew Sky Cancer would be in that story somewhere, didnt you? This lost game is the 2nd try, and the 1st try was a 1-starer. Guess how my mood was after that already at the beginning of the 3rd game ......) €: another 5 starer - 17k base xp this time (and the team did listen! ) Anthony is the right ship for max. carry ....... only my captain is not skilled the right way. ........ and believe it or not: Between compliments and reports (I did see it going up and down) I earned exactly 0 karma.
