Just my opinion but to some extent Jervis, Vaquelin(?), Gadja Madda, Skåne, Haida. And it not only the T 7 DDs that makes it powercrept, its also all new Gimmicky ships in same tiers or the tier above that it gets sucked into as well. But as I said, still a good boat. But if I had to choose between Blyska or the first 5 mentioned I probably go with one of the first 5.

First 2 games in Marceau. Must get better at leading the rainbows and also a bit better at dodging at shorter ranges, even a Yamato stuck me a couple of times. In the second game I managed to ambush the enemy Halland around an island, was surprised how little HP I had to trade for his full life (3800). Start to understand why many might consider this DD OP. -
It was a long time ago I played those tiers in UK DDs, but mostly you can say they are gunboats with good AP pen angles and great fire starters. They have good torps, especially with single fire but they lack range and in this meta with all the CVs German 6 km hydro and radarships its hard to make them work. Usually you build them for guns and use all the short smokes to do quick attacks on enemy team and torps for when someone is pushing you. They are also pretty good at cap contesting due to many smokes and hydro. Think both Flamu and Flambass has a lot of videos of Daring and even tho its the T10 its pretty much the same playstyle.

Exactly! And Hinden that is my preferred HE spammer would probably have killed that Yamato even faster due to high Alpha HE AND fires, also not constricted to smoke because it can do it from 21 km range. And if Yamato tries to get away it can blast his broadside for 10-12 K with AP. But even with Hinden being the moster it is I think its in a good spot in Flamus list because its good at dealing damage and kill but have little utility to the team with no Radar and mediocre AA. Then the Russian/US radar boats has it beat. -

I think again its pretty spot on when you listen to his reasoning and also ships utility etc. I guess many would like to see a ship like Smolensk in the OP section, but considering the utility of the others I think its a good place for it. -

Maybe I missed this somewhere but do anyone know WG´s logic (yeah.... I know) behind the different random Airstrike ranges for BBs? Thunderer T10 ................ 6 km range?!?!? Conqueror T10 (Thunderers sistership) ............ 11 km...? Jean Bart T9 ................ 5 km ?? Tirpitz T8 ........... 10 km ....?! Is this just Dave the Intern that threw in some numbers totally random when WG pushed subs to Live or is there some logic at all behind these different ranges? Just a bit weird when you played some games in some ships and you have no problem striking an attacking sub at 10-11 km range and then you play a BB at same tier or even a tier higher (as Tirpitz to Jean Bart) and suddenly you can't almost get your "Airstrike" to clear the railing on your own ship deck?! Are they paper planes folded by the deck crew...? -

Seriously, when a BB can push in and grab the B cap at the start of the game while crossfire some enemy ships on the flank there is something seriously wrong. And just imagine this is the already nerfed version they released: What was the Pre-nerf version like?!?! It probably had som type of airstrike and radar .... because why not? Balance department working as intended. -

Is it really a bright idea to make a BB with this firepower, Daring torps, Conq Heal and a concealment that makes it out spot almost ALL cruiser at these tiers?!?? When you play cruiser in the future and you sail around shooting the first think you will detect about his ship is when hes AP shells crushes thru your citadel. No warnings at all! Also fun with a BB that can torp kite pushing enemy's like a Zao without ever getting detected...... in a BB?!?! #WhatThisGameReallyNeeded Can we have a DD with 10 km radar, Airstrikes, Yamato guns and ability to submerge WG? I mean ..... as long as were just throwing crap together..... -

Yeah i agree to all this. But also the thing you say about where they launch. At start of every game I have to hit G to see where they go on this ship because suddenly, I play a ship like Halland that shoots his load (....) forward?! And even when you try it out at start its not really that easy to see the charges drop so you only see some explosions underwater. Doesn't all this make you feel really comfy and confident regarding the upcoming release of Super-Carriers? From the next Dev blog: -

But that would be even weirder nerfs then when WG nerfed the torps on mega OP Khaba from 10 to 6 km back in the day, or when they nerfed the AA mounts on overperforming Kremlin? Balancing an OP BB that sits at 20-21 km range and spam fires by shortening his Airstrike from 11 to 6 km is pretty useless. Also why even have airstrikes performing the attack for 5-6 km? Cant they put launchers like on DDs if they just going to reach that short distance. Just looks laughable to see planes fly of the bow and then they are gone. -

Why do so many rank Marceau OP? Isnt it hard with 3 km less range compared to Kleber and slow floaty arcs? It would look on paper like Kleber got it beat in all categories. -
Im going for Napoli next I think. Look at Potato Qualitys videos on it on Youtube, maybe you can pick up something there. Seems like secondary build is a waste, apparently you get better accuracy with range mod.

We will definitely NOT get any AA in the foreseeable future since that would counter their new money grab with these new CVs and Super-CVs. Most likely in a year or so when WG squeezed the last out of this new CV problem that they have created they will create a solution in the form of some new SUPER-MEGA-AA line of dds or cruisers with 5 different Premiums and a Dockyard event you can waste 1000 of dollars on. All the looser in this situation (as usual) will be all those playing the old regular ships that wont get any buffs at all. This is Pay to Win. That said. I don't even think any buffs to AA will do any good since the new Super CVs will attack you a supersonic speeds so your AA will probably not even have time to react before the bombs and rockets shred your hull. Not really like AA matters to the T10 Russian carrier. He just drops his load outside your AA range and gives you the finger. -

I guess you can do it in Moskva, but I wouldn't really recommend it due to worse DPM, worse fire chance and greater risk at getting fire spammed back. Every time I see a Moskva on enemy team pushing up to a cap I know its Christmas. Out of the 2 mentioned I would recommend you Yoshino. Better DPM and fire chance and 20 km no friendly fire torps. But that said, Henri and Hinden is WAY better then Yoshino. Also if you haven't grinded Hinden its one of the strongest cruisers in the game if you know how to play it, so well worth a grind. It gets a extra heal for free and with the extra free quarter pen on its HE it can crap on most ships like Kremlin, Petros, Stalins and Moskvas. And there is no correct playstyle, you should always play to the strength of the ship you play and to your skill. You can sail around 7-8 km away from caps as well with Hinden and Henri, but its not really their strength. Also a risk to get blapped at every turn by a unspotted BB. The biggest mistake I see a lot of dd and cruiser players do is they think they need to do their objective at the start of the match. DDs think they need to suicide into the caps when ALL then enemy team knows they are going to and are prepared for just that, and the die. Instead ALL dd players should be more passiva at start, going towards the caps but not step on them. Just spot for the team and torp pushing ships. Then after 3-4-5 min when all the radar cruisers sitting by the caps are bored and moved away and enemy CV is pre-occupied with other things you can move in and cap, often for free and often with zero risk. Same goes for cruiser players in general. Don't push in at start, play a bit more passiva and let the enemy team and their BBs specially get spotted so you have a clear view on what you are dealing with on your flank. Then after the fight has begun and most ships start engagements you can push in with a DD and help him take or re-take a cap and maybe radar spot and kill a enemy DD. What most don't seem to grasp is that the longar a DD or radar cruiser stay alive in the game the stronger and dangerous they get for the enemy team. Most steamrolls we see these days with 7 min wins is because in most cases dds and radarcruisers push in to caps at start and then they get focused and killed and after that their flank is pretty much fallen. Im a DD main and im alive at the end of most my games and usually at the top of the charts no matter if it was a win or a loss. -

With his arguments I thought it was pretty spot on. I was a bit surprised about the Druid being a A while Vampire 2 was a B? That wasn't the impression I have gotten from gameplay videos, I thought it was going to be other way around. Also a bit surprised about Marceau as OP. Haven't gotten the ship myself but just seems like insane floaty arcs?! Just seems like Kleber would be 3 times better then Marceau. Looking forward to cruisers and BB videos. -

For me the skill requirement for each class is as follows (most to least): 1. DDs 2. Cruisers 3. BBs 4. Subs 5. CVs Its mostly down to your HP/Armor and your level of risk required to play the class. So most classes need you to have at least average to above average skills to play good in and also good map awareness. If you are covered in these 2 areas you wouldn't have that much problem at playing many T10 cruisers. For example there is a few pretty idiot safe ways to play ships like Henri IV or Hindenburg where you sit at long range angled away and just farm damage and fires on everything spotted. This is very hard for enemy team to deal with, really just a CV that can counter them. And you can rack up 200-300 K damage games this way. Pushing into caps in Mino, Des Moines, Wooster etc requires more skill to do well in. For pushing in and tanking at caps most recommended is probably Petro because its broken A-F and even CVs has a hard time striking it because Russian cruisers have best AA in game for some reason..... Edit* you mention islands hot spots etc, and im guessing you are thinking radar cruisers or something like that. If you are not feeling overly confident in playing higher tiers I would NOT recommend you to play close to the action, behind/beside islands or close to caps. You need skill and a lot of awareness to play like that and do good. I would recommend you rather to start playing from range with ships like Hinden. Its one of my most played crusiers because it shits on high armor with its HE. Both its HE and AP is monster, you can get 12-13 000 HP salvos on broadside BBs. And it has great firechance as well. Often pretty tanky, gets a extra heal for free over all others and German 6 km hydro, spotterplane etc etc. I have a lot of high damage cruiser games on my channel if you want more tips on playstyle. -
