    Just take both skills and you are fine At least that's what I do ^^ The arming time stays the same with and without TA. But that means, faster torpedos travel a longer distance in that arming time and therefore activate after a longer distance. Though "later" is probably the wrong word, as the time stays the same.

    There is no punishment. A while ago, you paid higher service fees if your ship got sunk, but that was changed to reduce camping. But your team loses points for each ship while the enemy team wins points for sinking you. 4k is not recommended as the HUD doesn't scale. Maybe later when WG finally decides to change this ^^

    Your winrate is sinking because you play bad Just looking at the stats, I'd say your problem is: High survival rate and low win rate. You are camping too much. BBs need to tank so your CCs and DDs can fight without being focused too much. A sniping BB can't win matches. Obviously, that doesn't mean you should just Yolo into the first cap you see ^^ You have to practice how to barely stay alive while absorbing as much damage as possible. Play aggressive until you are low, then go stealth and heal up. But don't get into a position where they can crossfire you. Stay with the fleet for AA and focus fire on enemies. Keep their DDs in mind so you don't get spotted in a bad moment. And remember that it's absolutely ok to stop shooting for a while if that helps you not to sink. Last thing I see: <50% win rate in division (last 7 days) Maybe your division mate is bad or you make inefficient divisions (only BBs for example) or just miss team work and communication. A division with two or three decent players with good team work and active communication can have an extremely high influence on a match. It's a must-have for raising your winrate.

    There are scenarios like that already in the game ^^ Not a good idea. Anything that makes people camp more is bad. HE doesn't depend on the angle, only AP. And there were torpedos with magnet detonators, so it's not unrealistic. This one sounds interesting

    Stop being a HE-Pleb and shoot AP with your BBs. You can't set friends on fire with AP Ap is better for DDs anyway ^^

    The only thing that can safe a DD is a ship with strong AA right next to him. Only then he is safe. And that is the only situation where I would not try to attack him. But he has to stay there if he wants to survive, making him pretty much useless for the whole game which is good too.

    But... my DD stats are better than yours When I play DD, 99%. But that's just because most CV players are bad. But we are talking about good CVs. And a good CV takes a DD out with one try in at least 80%, no matter how good that DD is. I don't think Chimanski was carried that much, but think what you want ^^

    Because your DD stats don't matter at all. We are talking about what a CV can and should do, therefore only experience with CVs matters.

    He actually has a Saipan. With 38k avg dmg Just because you are not able to do that, doesn't mean real CV players can't.

    Right. And if you really think 2 torp squadrons for a DD would be a waste, you definitely don't know enough about this game to be more than average.

    Just use Fire Prevention on your captain, that helps a lot against HE-Spam ;) Second point: Don't use damage-con when you can be set on fire again. Only use it when you can go stealth afterwards.
