    Season 5 - Errors and Bugs

    Ranked maps for Tier 8: Spawns are to close, even with concealment module you get detected directly on spawn (when 00:00) noticed that on map Conquest and Trident so far. Got a replay if needed.

    Well i guess the 5 attached images show quite well how big the difference in skill can be, all are taken in a row. A single division can have a huge impact on the game. Our team never lost more than 1 or 2 ships. Had way to many of these clear wins lately... almost boring Not sure if its because of the lemming train meta lately, or because a psychological effect, that once you start putting pressure on the enemy team they start to panic and start to run away,... Best example is "shot-16.09.29_00.42.06-0749.jpg", in that game my divison went literary in a straight line from the center of our base into the enemy base... and the enemy just started running away form their base instead of defending it, short after they start to come back 1 by 1 to defend it, and we took them out 1 by 1....

    Why don't they directly remove the guns on stock configuration then? Or just change the requirement to buy a Tier 10 ship to: You need to have at least a 19 Point captain and 500 doubloons to buy this ship and at least +10mil spare silver. "Stock ships have to be unplayable" good argument, Its good how you define "stock" as not having a certain cpt point. I don't know about you, but I do not know anybody that has more than one 19p captain, 18p are usually on the most captain. I mean most Khaba players choose not play with 19p apparently since most of them have shitty <60k avrg. I mean even an Isokaze (Tier 4 in Stock (as you defined it: not maxed out cpt) config) in tier 10 can do more than that. I love how you say "Its your choice not to have a maxed out captain" They way you argue, you are basically saying that the ship should only be played when you have those skills/modules. Why not remove them then and give them the ship by default? Will you tell everybody that plays the ship without AFT to go back to port because hes and Idiot? Might as well report him for poorly playing right? I'm quite sure you have lots of experience with that ship @Ictogan.

    Now I don't have 3 million or was it 5 million silver to spend a on module and I have a new Captain on the Khaba since I want to keep the old one on the udaloi, so now what? And Since when I am forced to take a tier 4 skill to make a ship playable?!

    Play the Khabarovsk stock, without the concealment module and without AFT. I find a nerf from 13km to 11 is quite hard, when your detection range is 10km

    Quite simple: Imagine a situation where a crusier such a Zao with 9.7km detection range comes towards you, or a e.g a DM pops up from behind an Island form 9km: Khaba: You get detected. You drop torpedoes, the torpedoes miss since they are slow and you were detected, even if they hit their dmg is super low (~5 torp hits needed to kill tier 10 ca) You smoke up: you get radar or hydro on your [edited]. You run away, you shoot since you are detected anyway. You can stealth up since you used your smoke already, and you need 40s (all other dds only need 20s) to disappear. You can only shoot on everything within 11km range, you run outside the 11km range, and you still get shot at and hit. You are no longer shooting since you are out of range, you detection range goes down, but wait you are still detected, e.g a Gearing is invisible near you / planes. You are still getting shot at, you die. Gearing: Cruiser appears 7km next to you: You are not detected. You drop torps, and you run way. CA is not using hydro/radar since they are not away of your presence. Now you see why the size of the Khaba is a problem for it but not the Gearing?

    Good example for Khabarovsk armor: The Hindenburg than can even citadels Iowas from <15km, bounces all his shells from 3km on the broadside of the Khabarovsk with only very little angle (for the front guns, all bounces, and a big deeper angel for the back guns, all but 1 bounces) Videos like that just make my day . Anyway I agree that the Khaba needed a nerf, I am just not happy with the way they did it now. With the range nerf the ship will be unplayable without BFT and AFT. What are ppl supposed to do that have their captain on retraining? Or that do not want to take the concealment module? The Khaba is lager than a New Orleans and you want it to get in radar range and the range of its base detection before it can start to open fire on 10km? In my opinion they should have given the Khaba the range module back (then you have to decide between range and fire rate): AFT+Fire rate = 13km with high fire rate AFT+Range = 15km with low fire rate A destroyer with the size of the cruiser and basically no concealment is supposed to fight <10km against battleship that have 6.5km hydro range and 10.6km secondaries? And against cruisers that have 11km Radar for 40s (every120s)? The Top configuration might be powerful but that's not a reason the make it the only option for the ship or to make it useless in the bottom config. Maybe you should take the upgrade Torpedoes that are giving you: -4km range +11s reload -3knts speed 11km gun range, 6km torp range, size of a new Orleans, 10km detection range. Sounds like fun. Especially if a Gearing starts to stealth fire you on open water without smoke

    What will season 5 change for the problems: dd heavy meta misbehavior of players (tk and being afk) lack of cruiser Long grind to rank 1 (Season 4 was bit to long with 6 stars on rank 5-1) Static game play (chess, 1 team sitting on 1 cap waiting for the other team to make a move) Premium ships will dominate Tier 8... disadvantage for people that do not own them...

    Well the only thing where I'm getting annoyed by is if you are e.g in a Bismarck/Tirpitz and you angle up after every salvo you fire and this happens in that match: Tirpitz shoots AP, bounces once on my side, Tirpitz uses HE all the way, I kill Tirpitz moving on, I fight Hindenburg, Hindenburg uses HE, moving on, I fight Großer Kurfürst, GK uses HE (yes German Tier 10 shooting german Tier 8 bb with HE ), I fight North Carloina, NC uses HE. And I don't even want to mention Scharnhorst HE "spam"... At that point I have the feeling that my armor is useless if just some hits on my superstructure are enough to burn me down . Some matches I'm taking over 100k dmg in Bismarck/Tirpitz (with 0-15k hp remaining) where 40% of are fire dmg. HE splash dmg not included. Had many of these game (48k HE +35k fires + 42k AP =128k dmg taken)

    Well you might feel like that since the Normalization "nerf" (re-balance is the better word i guess) to 6°, shells are more likely to bounce or not-penetrate due that change. Gun wise, both are performing the same here, Tirpitz 86k (including average torp dmg per match of about 5k) Bismarck 108k (including a average secondaries dmg of about 25k). So main battery wise they perform pretty much the same.

    Also noticed the same in Tirpitz, get shells bounces on the side of the 30mm armor of an NC on ~15km-ish 4 hits, 4 bounces, in 5.9.0 those would have been pens, Though I don't think is problematic as it also allows you too bounce more shells, if you angle correctly, which is the goal WG was aiming for, I assume. The fact that 30mm armor is enough to bounce 380mm shells is weird though

    4K play:Chat and display team line up

    Well also using 4k here, and I'm using OBS (a tool to record videos and to stream, its free) to live preview the minimap and chat in large on a 2nd screen, it works quite well. 1 mod in Aslains mod pack also allowed it to enlarge the mini map further, but the mod pack is not up to date and i do not know which mod it was ;).

    Well according to a Q&A they'll be back soon™. In the next 2 weeks the German battleships will be released. So probably sometime after that. I would assume in 3-4 weeks or so. Since these awesome rewards that we never got, I wont expect much though...

    AM I the only one who would prefere the Bismarck over Tirpitz? I mean 6km Trorps are nice and such ... but they can mostly be used as a defense... well they saved my life multiple times and in some matches I got more than 10 Torpedo hits with my Tirpitz so I'm not going to complain ;) Just don't forget that the Bismarck got better AA, and it got 14x Secondaries of 105mm or higher, with a base range of 7km. 7km! With a good (Tirpitz) Commander you can get the detection range down to 12km an der the secondary range to 10.5(+-)km. And all seoncdaries are shooting HE... armament: 6x150mm HE (9% fire chance) double barrel 7s reload, 8x105mm HE (8%fire chance)double barrel 3.35s reload. with my current skills reload time on secondaries will go down by 30% german HE ftw;)
  20. Playing Khabaroks, sitting in smoke, firendly bb passes me, I hit him once with my gun on the tower---> Instand fire... Every fire tick giving me a TK warning and making me a TKer (pink) after a few ticks..... what are you supposed to do against that? help him to put out the fire? D

    Well, the Public Test Client is the same that the Supertesters use, that means whenever they get the server open for the ships to test, that client will receive and update, that everybody can download (but not login into the server). The Updates contain every ship, stats, data, texture, game script ect... so you can just unpack them if you know where they are ;) Block Quote The following ships are now available in the game client for testing by developers and supertesters: Krasny Krym, Scharnhorst, Koenig Albert, Kaiser, Flint, and Black. These ships are not available for purchase and research, but players may encounter them in battle. In some cases they are already adding eg. the guns an ammunition or modules of the ships, before the actual models, so if you "mine" them out, you can put them in a nice table as above ;)

    Competitive play in WoWS - how it can be done

    Well good to see you back, here are some things that will prob annoy you: Higher Leagues of Team Battles and Ranked will require at least 1 Premium ship (TB: Tirpitz, Atago, Kutuzov, Lo Yang; Ranked: Saipain or Bylsca) if you want to properly compete there. (less important in ranked) AA of many ships were improved that in some cases, you can do nothing but Spot (Watch) DD capture bonus is still to high (many dds in ranked (3-5 per side)) Accuracy buff to US Tier 8+ bbs, they are sniping from 23km+ now High Tier is still mostly stealth build (all crusiers and dds, except the russian) No rewards at all for Team Battles (not even achievement flags, no clue why the current season is still running ) What you prob like: Nerv of Japanese long range torpedoes (Shima is the worst dds by far now, even fletcher or kagero beat it) Radar works quite well improvement of UI and minimap Better rewards for Ranked btw: Feld and MacieoVietnam are fine and are doing mostly TB right now

    As far as We know right now the H-41 will be like a Montana, with less AA, better secondaries, slightly higher pen, longer reload, (better maneuverability?), better citadell armor, lower DPM. The Questions in the room: Is the H-39 and H-41 more a close brawler like the Tiripitz? Thats hard to imagine, but it could work, depending how well a Yamato or Montana will be able to pen it. And do not forget that the H-41 profits more from the reload module and will prob drop to something like 28s reload (and thats ok isnt it?)
