    Working as intended?!?

What? Awwww... That's a pretty lousy bug to still have in the game as it is super annoying to know you get hit (if you do) because you couldn't predict the drop. It sucks royally! And they didn't fix it... That's a major let down I must say. Hopefully they fix the OP's issue, and soon.

Less Accuracy camouflage, Air Supremacy, line drifting half-fixed

First: I'm quite certain it doesn't add a fighter since the planes cruisers and battleships carry aren't actually fighters. They are something else as you can see by their different icons. Second: It adds 4% dispersion to shots made against that ship. How does the game determine that? When you lock onto that ship the game adds those 4% extra dispersion to the guns. Don't fire without the lock, much worse (sometimes when you lose a lock to say, smoke, it is still worth it to fire of course). Dispersion is the only real accuracy that can be impacted. Shell speed and trajectory would be strange stats to fiddle with concerning camo paint. Just think of it as RNGesus has a 4% greater say in things when the paint is applied.

    IJN Agano

I believe WG mentioned something along the lines that these cruisers (Agano, Oyodo and Tone) and the Ise thingies, need to have their own place. Thus obviously they can't very well be in the game as it is. Who would love to have a cruiser whose reason for existence was that of having more scout planes... Obviously something special needs to be in place, something that is worthwhile. I can easily see these cruisers branching off at Kuma, starting with the Sendai (for no better reason than to get her class in) at T4, Oyodo at T5, Agano at T6 and Tone at T7. But that depends on what their planes will give them. I really hope they won't just be ignored. But we will see.

    LAngley Fighter problem.

And you obviously didn't engage over enemy AA, right?
  5. Unintentional_submarine

    Change to rng citadels?

You can't increase accuracy and then reduce chance for citadel. That's not how it works. If you get a penetration in a citadel area, you get a citadel (mind you, some ships don't have the citadel all the way to the outer hull and have citadel armour inside the belt). So either you hit less in that area, or you don't. If accuracy is increased, then you are quite likely to hit the citadel area more. It might not be enough that you will notice it, as this case is bound to be. What they did was to reduce the close range dispersion, that means that as the dispersion increased over range, it is a somewhat sharper curve than before, leading to benefits being registered all the way to max range. Though that those ranges the benefit is extremely small. But the benefit should still be somewhat clearer at say 5-6km.

    Map upgrades are nice!

Fault Line is also changed in it's layout. Some islands are gone and others are moved a bit. For instance, that very narrow channel between a 'vertical' and a 'horizontal' island has been widened enough that it shouldn't be an issue for anyone to get through it, even under fire. Not sure yet is I like that, but at least they show that they are not finished with the gameplay aspect of the maps either.

    Working as intended?!?

Well, this is amusing... and sad. It seems to me that 22cm has bribed the AA gunners on the carriers. I get the feeling that he would if he could.
  8. Unintentional_submarine

Are you having fun with carriers?

That was probably down to the tier 3 skill Dogfighting Expertise. That skill is just a terrible skill as it reverses the logical progression (and messes up higher tier fighters terribly). It is intended to let lower tier fighters have a chance against higher tier fighters, which is a commendable idea, if there weren't differences within the same tier, and the new mirror MM didn't stop most of the lopsided fights. They should really find another way to make such a skill work. Alternatively you could have been fighting within the range of enemy AA.

    Zao and fires

Now where is that screenshot of someone nearly oneshotting an Iowa with Zao AP shells...
  10. Unintentional_submarine

Well done WG, youve made CVs totally unplayable

Agreed. The occasional non-CV game is interesting as it changes the game and forces people to play differently. But too often and people not only get lax but they also get incredibly passive (and woe unto them when they then get thrown into a 2v2 CV game). With nobody there to scout for the battleships they can't engage, and most will not venture out and find the enemy themselves. It is a toxic gameplay when it happens too often, and the last few days I have seen it in perhaps as much as two thirds of the games. I want my aerial scouts back so I can coax the other ships to get out of the spawn. And I'm not even playing at 'bad' tiers, I'm mainly sitting in the sweetspot of T6-7, and still carriers are rare.
  11. Unintentional_submarine

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Oh I see what you did there... It's not nice to bait people to say something 'stupid'.
  12. Unintentional_submarine

    Tirpitz and it's citadel.

Having citadelled Tirpitzes myself, I can safely say that it is completely possible. However, you are extremely unlikely to get it in hte usual 'below the smoke stack(s)' position, I think I have gotten one there, but can't be sure. Instead aim for the mags below the turrets. This is naturally a bit more risky, due to the ship being not only not as tall there (less chances to hit something else in case of a miss) but there isn't as much in front or behind to grant hits. But hit true and the citadels will happen. Also longer range hits will certainly citadel the central area. Have done so in my Nagato several times already (thankfully there are plenty targets to practice on). And yeah, it seems that her regular armour is less than impressive. Plenty regular penetrations, and few overpenetrations in general. All in all, a tough nut to crack, but not a really tough nut.
  13. Unintentional_submarine

    No, seriously, bravo WG, bravo!

Something is changed it seems. I haven't got it myself, but having watched it in streams it is certainly not the ship I played in CBT. Unless iChase is suddenly a lot more lucky than usual, the Colorado appears to have become more accurate (enough that he himself has noted the difference).
  14. Unintentional_submarine

Hiei tier 5, Kongo (better AA) tier 6?

Well, as you can see in the "what we know" thread that is stickied, at some point WG considered (and might still consider) a 'modernised' Kongo of some form. Now that might of course mean the present Kongo, just being a combination of the two (stock hull and top hull being the two respectively), but it might also be a plan still in the works or on hold.
  15. Unintentional_submarine

0.4.1 ruined the BB accuracy instead of making it better

Quite. Have had a blast in my BBs, and they certainly don't seem worse for accuracy. In fact, based on my observations of iChase in his new Colorado, it has been buffed or changed, intentionally or not. But the results in his matches were really interesting. About 2/3rds of his salvoes were really tight and really seemed very similar to how Warspite and New Mexico behaves. And then there was that last third where the shots scattered all over. If Colorado is that precise, then I'm looking forward to her with less trepidation than before.

    Montana Ninja Nerf?

Tirpitz got a minor buff to it's 20mm guns. But yeah, it is a change so that they don't have to run into running out of ratings so to speak. Even Yamato has lost it's 100 Survivability. The question really is: Does this mean there will be a ship that has greater Survivability than Yamato or more AA than Iowa/Montana? Both seems rather doubful to me, but we all know how WG can be at times.
  17. Unintentional_submarine

New mexico is complete trash after the patch.

No, not since it has always been 34 seconds reload for New Mex.
  18. Unintentional_submarine

    Main Battery Modification II

It is excellent on the Grem. The loss in RoF is more than made up for in the traverse, much more in fact. In a DD you often have to change direction, so the Grem's guns are often out of position, and thus spend a lot of time moving back. I love it for the Grem.
  19. Unintentional_submarine

    Too many tirpitz?

Have cookie from me then. You just did something that on the internet is as rare as a snow leopard, you not only admitted to something that could be categorised as somewhat humiliating, but you did so with grace and humour. I wish more people would do that.
  20. Unintentional_submarine

    Please fix HE shells!

That's true. HE that hits well armoured sections tend to do 0 damage. How else can a full broadside of a Cleveland do less than 1000 damage? This is most obvious with destroyers. If you happen to be in one and fire into the belt with a single gun. *poof* No damage. And you are also right that fires start in different areas. So don't just spam in one area, walk the shells along hte hull of the enemy (unless he is in a small ship like a DD or CL, though the latter really should be handled with AP). The four areas are bow, middle, stern and superstructure (which destroyers lacked before but are getting now).
  21. Unintentional_submarine

    Carrier targeting choices

It is generally only worth it to go for the opposition carrier(s) if you can knock one out in one go. That's why 2v1 games tend to see the two carriers try to knock the one out, as they can usually manage it. But if you can't, then the travel and losses will not make it worth it. By the time the enemy carrier is dead (provided he even dies), the game is over more or less. So why do it? Damaging the carrier doesn't reduce the power, so the impact on the game is quite little until the enemy CV is dead. With the incoming reductions to strike power of IJN CVs, and increased fighter power (natural conclusion of more fighters), expect to see even less CV sniping, and much more skirmishing in the air.

    Zero damage torpedoes

I have to repost this here.
  23. Unintentional_submarine

    Tirpitz and it's citadel.

No, they were quite terrible and were replaced with 40mm Bofors mounts. In fact during a demonstration for Churchill the netting the rockets created got caught in the wind and landed back on the ship entangling equipment etc. And all that for not having a single recorded kill in the war.
  24. Unintentional_submarine

    Stop nerfing DD's

Now now, if you are going to list the general changes to DDs, you sohuld also list the removal of the bonus damage DDs take when hit in the center. That's removed and will result in no more one-torp kills from planes, which is pretty big.
