Obviously depends on who is in the queue with what at any given time. It's subjective but the last two evenings I've seen a lot more dds and fewer dds around tier 5-7. Higher up it still feels BB heavy. I'll see if the stats reflect this next week.

Indeed. Missions do seem to work. I've argued for missions to balance unbalanced meta before. Perhaps WG are actually trying to do this. It's encouraging anyway - but it also demonstrates why there are tasks and missions which can only be achieved in certain classes!

Depends at what tier. Ijn dd changes have already led to 5 dds per side in the mid tiers. And to be honest the release of the premiums will just change which BBs we see not create more BBs players. I've also seen many more 3 BBs per side games mid tier over the last few days. I suspect the German bulge has worked its way up.

ARP Takao? nah, prepare for the ARP Nachi pain
Admiral_noodle replied to Jvd2000's topic in General Discussion
I think uninstalling the game because you can't have one ARP ship is a little over the top though. Still 11 RU ships to go. But I'm not that bothered. Just pleased I got takao. That ship I will play. -
And then I await the complaints about dd infestation when the Germans come.

Initially I thought you meant playing wows while "on tablets"

To be fair to OP point to the official wows guide where this is explained

What is the usual number of containers that you open on a day that you play?
Admiral_noodle replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
1 if I'm just playing a couple. 2 if I'm playing a few games with a range of ships 3 if I'm grinding ships - the flags and multipliers for camo etc means I can rapidly get to 3 sometimes. -
Post-battle credits calculator system issue

Also damage on higher tier ships is valued higher than lower tier. So correlation between damage and credits is a weak one. -
What Were Your Worst/Most Embarrassing Game Today?
Admiral_noodle replied to Mandyxx's topic in General Discussion
Getting sunk in a dd again by torps into my smoke because I'm reversing and for some reason my brain can't work out how to steer backwards. Turned into the torps. -
Echoing others here but it's a really good point. Know your own capabilities. Yes it helps to watch guides and know how all the other ships work too. Knowledge is power. But don't accept a fight you can't win. And I mean YOU can't win. Don't think "if Flamu can do it I can" and simply copy pasta. Often in games I will see a scenario that players like Flamu would probably jump at to have maximum impact, but I might think "I'm likely to mess this up". Sometimes it's better to be patient, to support other bolder players, to go with the team, finish off enemies on low health and generally contribute more than your fair share. You don't have to play like a Unicum to boost your win rate - just being with the team and doing your fair share is enough. For now I would focus on not dying for as long as possible while still shooting things. That doesn't mean camping but you should always ask yourself - am I safe? How many enemies could shoot back? Is this course of action worth it? That's how I started - from a 45% WR and a k/d of 1.0 after about 400 games. The following thousand or so have been much better

Best thing you could do is division up with people who are experienced. They will likely point out where you could improve. Especially with someone who can observe you play "semi solo". I.e. Not in a division where you specifically work together. So in Kiev division up with a BBs player - some ship you wouldn't always expect to do things together with. 90% of the time it's awareness of the battle situation and what to do in any given scenario - or learning to avoid scenarios! The only stat of any interest to me - over a long enough period - is solo win rate. Only that really tells a story, and even then it takes hundreds of games to me truly meaningful. Other stats help though. The one that jumps out at me in yours is survival. You die way too much Your next challenge should be working out ways to survive. To have more of an impact on a game you need to survive and have an impact on the end game in those tight games where it could go either way.

I actually like missions based on wins rather than farming damage. Or ship kills. First it promotes "doing the right thing" for the win rather than playing selfishly. Second it can be achieved by everyone. Eventually. Even potatoes will be carried across the finish line if they play enough. Have takao. sadly I need 11 Russians for nachi. Although I've kind of lost interest in having her. I feel bad for people desperate to get her tho

IMO hydro behind islands is fine but islands should block LoS. I have suggested Radar blocked by islands would add more skill based aspects to dds and radar users alike. Triangulation via situational awareness is already fun. Working out where a dd is by process of elimination is very satisfying. So radar could be longer duration but not work through islands - you could pop it then move around scanning. Would be fun!

ARP Takao? nah, prepare for the ARP Nachi pain
Admiral_noodle replied to Jvd2000's topic in General Discussion
I completely agree. The mission is bad. Although I don't agree that WG specifically wants us all to play tier 8+ - they just want a balance across all tiers so everyone gets a game basically. But like you I'll be looking forward to some tier 8 avoidance soon! -

Admiral_noodle replied to Jvd2000's topic in General Discussion
Well. WG are in a bind now. Leave the mission alone and hope there is enough time or change the mission requirements and risk the wrath of people who did complete the mission and will think "well I won't bother next time WG will just make it easier". Here's hoping for a mission to sail tier 8+ Russian ships before too long. -
Things I never understand... Why is it always a conspiracy? Generally WG want balance and fun to encourage you to spend on the game. They don't want to give players bad experiences in the hope they will spend money. It doesn't work and only leads to rage quit. - but they are a group of humans who get it wrong from time to time. MM spread depends entirely on who is queuing in what at any given time. WG try to balance this across ALL tiers with different ships, missions and economy. It will cause clumping at times. Lots of split opinions on IJN dds and RNCL - but once again it seems people can only be for or against and not have a middle opinion. And as for moderating mods simply try to keep the forums orderly and threads in the right place. When the tenth thread complaining about the same thing opens its not a conspiracy or plan to shut people up but simple tidying (and probably a bit of human frustration). I've seen attempted censorship on other forums. This is not it at all.

Want free premium? I'll hire you to be my RU target.

I would also add - risking anyone involved's accounts as well. Everyone involved may be banned for this, possibly permanently. I suggest OP that you remove your suggestion before a mod does it for you -
Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

I also complimented your team for that -
Premade divisions never top tier?
Admiral_noodle replied to killer999death's topic in General Discussion
WG won't do this. Why would I want to division with my friends if that will get the odds stacked against me? So people wouldn't division or even play as much. MM already tried to balance divisions on both sides. That should be enough. Sometimes you'll get 3 awesome players on the enemy team who carry their team to victory. Sometimes they will be on your side. It evens out. -

Presumably you set it up so that you queue at the same time which gives you roughly 50/50 chance of being on opposing teams. You can probably increase this chance using a CV in division and the division rules generally. Then you arrange on comms where to "meet". Then let the OP shoot your Russian ship to death. However, I would be very careful in posting this here as I am pretty sure deliberately rigging games is 1-not going to make you popular in those games and 2-contravenes the rules of play... you may well have a ban incoming. And if anyone sees you doing it in game and submits a replay to WG I suspect they would also ban you. -
Akizuki has 8 guns. With skills the reload is 2.7 seconds. In 800 seconds constantly firing she can fire around 2370 shells. If you're only firing half the time and half those hit that's around 500 hits. I think my record was around 450 hits so 650 isn't impossible in that ship.

Tier 8 unplayable - +2MM with [edited] toptiers
Admiral_noodle replied to nerderklaus's topic in Archive
I think it's heavily ship dependent. Tirpitz, Bismarck, Atago, Kutusov have no problems in tier X games. You just have to modify your play to fit the game. I got my highest damage record in Bismarck in a tier X game Similarly tirpitz doesn't bother me if I get heavily up tiered. New Orleans on the other hand struggles, as does hipper in my experience. New Orleans suffers from relatively low DPM. It's not her survivability that's the issue but the ability to actually do any damage without getting over extended. -
You must be kidding right ? Low credit ?
Admiral_noodle replied to Mrzero001's topic in General Discussion
...plus the lower repair cost flag. All adds up. - it's not wrong it's working as designed -
I just need two wins at tier 8 and 11 Russian ships to complete the two missions left. Oh and a bunch of torp hits but I don't care about that mission.
