Point is falling back is very often a good strategy. It's not the same as running off though. I like to circle friendly battleships in Murmansk. Seems to confuse and annoy opponents (as it does me!)

Help us to have a better community on Ranked !
Admiral_noodle replied to SENAdmiral's topic in General Discussion
Isn't this a case of "make people better"? Not sure that can be programmed. I'm stuck at rank 21 because I can't get two wins. I've learnt one thing. Stick together no matter what. -
Ranked: Balance the goddamn destroyers!
Admiral_noodle replied to Andreevson's topic in General Discussion
When dds aren't mirrored I tend to find that in good games the enemy caps two out of three initially but then dies to cruiser swarm. Then the game can swing back. Ships cost points in domination mode and loss of a couple of ships can be decisive. It would help if I was any good at shooting dds though. -
Culture of communication. Thanks and complaints
Admiral_noodle replied to Userext's topic in General Discussion
In the next update we will add a "fast team" - a few messages that are automatically sent to the chat by pressing a particular button. If you have played other games company Wargaming, you could see similar functionality. These messages can be sent and the limitation imposed on the chat. Yay! -
However sometimes I sail ahead then retreat to my BBs when I'm being focussed. I don't sail completely away. I'll move behind the BB (which really annoys people in binocular view) then turn round to support the bb. I don't have time to explain this in chat though. I'm not running off!

The customer is not always right, but sometimes he also understands when it is pure extortion.

What is. I've lost the thread. I would suggest to some that enjoyment would increase if they did not read the forums and just played the game. -

This game is supposed to be fun now? -
Not true! Half the players are yolo... Of course you rarely notice them.... Not for long in ranked I've noticed there is much more scrutiny in players and this can generate some pretty nasty exchanges in chat Rewards below tier 8 come from doing things so that's fair. Also I think we need clan wars ranked style. Put a team of 7 together... WG do this next!

Option - blacklist - I don't want to be put in team with such and such...?
Admiral_noodle replied to Ergeo's topic in General Discussion
Nice idea but potentially a pain in the [edited]to recode MM to take a new variable into account. So value vs cost analysis... How often will a blacklisted player even get in your team? Is it worth the extra coding to stop it? I do this as my job. Business says "I want this function" I explain ok but will take 1 year and $1m... They say "ok not worth it..." And then what about you the player who blacklists everyone on a losing team. Bound to happen. A limit!? How many? You see it's never simple. -
New Aim Mod (No, realy, this one is new)
Admiral_noodle replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Archive
True. However you can throw off the mod in most ships. BBs can angle they are ridiculously easy hits anyway. So it's crap and a bad mod but doesn't affect me because I won't use it and my "skill" can beat it. It needs killing though. -

We should have a list of wants. Sensible achievable ones. Ranked by importance. Categorised by gameplay, UI, ships, economy... Wait this is my day job. -

I use Murmansk to made credits. So. In summary: We would like to be able to "use" XP on elite and premium ships to accelerate training. Please WG do this. And plenty of people play and pay nothing and have high tier ships. So it's still free to play - pay to rush. Of course it helps if you are good at the game to do this -
New Aim Mod (No, realy, this one is new)
Admiral_noodle replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Archive
Since this has come up I'm living longer in cruisers. I have become afraid of aim assist so I'm dodging angling and evading more. My stats in Murmansk have improved. -
German cruseırs and Russıan Destroyers Come !

New Aim Mod (No, realy, this one is new)
Admiral_noodle replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Archive
Hmmm. I think this is a cheat because "judging speed" is part of the skill. In bad at it too sometimes! Sometimes you can't tell if a ship coming at you is slowing or speeding. Or going backwards. I've fooled people like that. So as this gives you a tangible advantage I would suggest it's an unfair mod. -

Admiral_noodle replied to ASharpPencil's topic in General Discussion
Probably and anyway it's funny these threads. I have at least three friends who are happily grinding away and progressing up the tiers who have spent *absolutely nothing* on the game. Me I just cheat and convert XP using real money so I can skip ships I didn't like in CBT... (!) -

Admiral_noodle replied to ASharpPencil's topic in General Discussion
That's a possible enhancement to the game yes. But it's not "extortion" giving you the option to pay to convert it to free XP. Your ideas are fine as suggestions - my point was don't complain that you can pay to make it free XP. Instead complain/suggest that you ought to be able to do something with it for free. As you just have. -
New Aim Mod (No, realy, this one is new)
Admiral_noodle replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Archive
Well obviously. WG must block this mod or this cash cow will not play and pay... -

"But this is too much, you charge me to use my credit card in order to make the XP for free XP!" Ok I'll fix that. When a ship cannot level up and in premium ships, only free XP is generated. The rest is not added to the ship... What a daft complaint. No one charges you to convert it. Ships gain XP and can unlock the next level. When that's done the XP you generate is no longer "of use". But! WG allow you to spend real money to make that gold XP! And you complain about this? -
Yes. Can we add "don't leave friendly BBs behind to get spammed by wolf packs"? Or is that obvious. Stay together as a fleet and defend your caps! If you're 2-1 up in caps they must come to you, which is almost always very bad for the enemy.

German cruseırs and Russıan Destroyers Come !
Admiral_noodle replied to MarsAtlantis's topic in General Discussion
Yay. 19th? That's ages!!! Russian dds actually existed so such a line makes sense to get out first. I wonder if WG have ever thought of ending a line before it gets to tier ten. You don't HAVE to have a tier ten,.. -
Why aren't people ever satisfied?
Admiral_noodle replied to XplosivSpleenz's topic in General Discussion
There are ways of giving feedback without looking like a spoilt child throwing his toys. Some threads are fine but when you get people just saying "MM is a joke" or other such outbursts without any evidence or suggestions it just gets so tiring. -
Incidentally if you report people for misbehaviour in chat enough they can't post in chat anymore

I give this game a score of 7/10 in its current state, with it going to 8/10 as soon as a new tech tree is out. The 2 it loses are all the same things people moan about here - but the game is mostly good. Mostly. Whining never makes a difference, stats do when it comes to: - premium costs - economy - XP grind - balance So arguments on here about the above are pointless. WG will have a target to hit and tweak accordingly. Deal with it. Now everything else is fair game. -
Yes! But to be honest I would rather modders did this and got them sanctioned by WG onto a mod store while the devs made us more ships and gameplay options
