[NEWS] "Save Keyboards and Ships with Curse Voice"
Admiral_noodle replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Other
Oh imagine the language ranting. Then the rage. Then the team killing. This has the possibility of spectacular fail obviously -
But if demand is very high we would be inundated with Warspites. I mean look at Tirpitz and imagine if it has been priced at 15 Euros... There is gameplay to be considered as well.

New Aim Mod (No, realy, this one is new)
Admiral_noodle replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Archive
When my stats start to take a beating because I keep getting hit more I might change my opinion on the efficacy of this mod. Until then I'm content to wait. WG will kill this. How and when is key. -
Was it two cap mode and did you read the changes?

[NEWS] "Save Keyboards and Ships with Curse Voice"
Admiral_noodle replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Other
Interesting. I might give it a go. It's much much harder to be toxic via voice. At least it's optional -
I never passed moral judgement on the policy. It is what it is. If it doesn't sell it will change. While people are willing it's still the most profitable way. I don't judge companies because I don't expect them to have a moral compass. Is it a good idea? Yes if it maximises profit. Else no. Do I personally *like* it? No. Am I going to boycott WG? No. Do I have to live with it then? Guess so.

For the love of God, pull split spawn maps from rotation!
Admiral_noodle replied to Ewokgod's topic in General Discussion
In another thread devs say this is actively being looked at. The division thing. -
I get that. But I see this mission as primarily a "kill them" mission without losing your own cap kind of game. In that sense there are new tactics to explore such as trying to deviously threaten the enemy base while baiting the other team to try to take yours. In in one game I managed to convince a dd to take up position near our cap as we pretended to leave it open when I saw 3 cruisers and a bb making a push. The dd made a nice mess of the first cruiser and then I returned in my bb with allies to finish them off. But yes. With a team of mostly potatoes the most obvious strategy is to sit and defend as a camping blob. So to get them moving you have to focus and pick of stragglers. Getting a lead ought to get them moving. Of course if they refuse to it could lead to rather negative games. But if you remove errors from both sides standard ends on a draw and domination is pot luck anyway? Will see how it plays out but so far these missions have played out rather well for me!

I have also noticed a lot of "peek-a-boo" lately around islands which wasn't prevalent in CBT. It's usually a bad thing to do.

See I love all this. Now deliver WG!! Additions to PvE - excellent. Personal missions sounds... Interesting. Accelerating RN - good. -
Colorado needs a buff as soon as possible....
Admiral_noodle replied to andreiversus's topic in General Discussion
Hmm. My problem with brawling is dds. I keep getting into games with lots of them which means I get stuck waiting for them to be dead or die to them. I'm struggling for a solution. In IJN BBs it's so much easier. -
Ah but Figment. In another thread you were stating that players should play for the win conditions ergo standard battle isn't a problem (I mostly agree. I wish most players would realise how to play standard then draws wouldn't be an issue!). Doesn't the same apply here? Win conditions clearly displayed --> play to meet those conditions? It only attracts camping in people who don't know how to force a win. You can attack in a way which doesn't give the defender an advantage on any map (except fault line. I struggle on that map) Another game today and another win by cap where we were losing on points. Outplaying the enemy... This mode should be called Quidditch mode because capping is the same as capturing the golden snitch

Admiral_noodle replied to andreiversus's topic in General Discussion
It got a buff in the latest patch - but it's still so slow and low on HP it's ability to affect the battle is compromised at tier 7. I'm getting nearly 60k damage out of her per game but keep losing - mostly because of luck but also because I can't do anything about it. Once I'm committed I'm committed. My team mates don't seem to realise this! It's better in ranked though. -
Its famous and British. Hence collectors want it. Hence its price.

Why are my credits going down ?
Admiral_noodle replied to anonym_EFwxJOPWzlER's topic in General Discussion
I shall. I intend to follow BBs around . I'll assess credit income vs. game performance and give feedback. Probably in a "tier 8 cruiser experience" thread. Maybe then the experts can give me some tips! -
I like this mode because of the way draws aren't rewarded in any way. Many draws are caused by good defensive play (sometimes by me!) so why should I be punishing everyone. Why don't I just give up and at least let someone win? Anyway as for encouraging defensive play I can see your points. But I've seen that a consolidated push, taking out one or two ships fast also has a positive outcome. In fact in a good many games I've ended up with team mates taking the enemy cap to win. It also gives me an idea of who has the upper hand. If we are down on points it encourages people to go on missions to cap. I've played a few where the enemy has got caught up killing ships and out of position only for someone on our team to cap late on (it was a St. Louis) while I stay back (and die) to decap the enemy fleet long enough to win. Anyway it's a mode with rules. I don't dislike it as much as standard battle

I agree with you Hanse77 but I'm sure as a non coffee drinker you can still have the opinion that Starbucks is overpriced

Point was if having a good game, dying and losing didn't make a loss at tier ten then there's no need to camp. Just play your normal game. Anyway for a cruiser you shouldn't be camping but escorting others. Of course if they are camping too... -
I'd still play to the best of my abilities, with sportsmanship and a smile on my face (until I got salty ) I am either trying to win, or not playing. Doesn't make me unpleasant.

No idea I've never had it.

It's called upselling. It's maximising profits. Of course it's greedy it's about getting maximum return on investment. It's not immoral or unfair it's what companies do.* Only question is will this put off customers or affect the "good will" towards the company, which is a hidden cost. Sell where as close to where the demand supply curves cross. Since supply isn't exactly fixed (although WG won't want to sell too many and flood the game) it's just a question of predicting the demand curve. If you know that then you can pitch your unit price where it generates the highest total revenue. It's not morals it's market maths *one might consider capitalist economics as inherently unfair and immoral but I digress.

I think WG may well run clan wars at different times from ranked - alternately... Clan wars are planned according to the devs. "Soon"

So I need to see what level of damage/game is the break even point for a tier ten - assuming you sink, and for wins and losses. If you need to have a god game to afford repair costs the behaviour will be to camp. If you can deal enough damage in a reasonable game to just about break even and die, then that's ok. -
Given I usually focus on playing all my ships to get the X1.5 (for enhanced free XP) I tend to assume that the win is more important than personal performance. In general a win is enhanced by doing damage anyway Ridiculously fast capping can be annoying if you get to do nothing in the game. But then you can go jump in a new game so it's not a disaster really

If the shells were going through without even making a hit or noise then yes it's desync. Reboot PC
