    Not sure why my post makes me a bad shot... I know exactly what this mod does. My point about it being "no use" at long range is simply because where the assist says to aim ought to be incorrect by the time the shells arrive. At medium and short who needs it anyway.

    Aargh. The aim assist will have an impact of course but not a big one. Sailing in a straight line at constant speed has the biggest impact. I sniped a Pepsi today at ridiculous range in Kongo. Some seconds later long after he had gone back invisible up pops a citadel. I mean really! And I'm not using any assist! At short range you don't need an assist. At long range it shouldn't be any use. Make sure you have situational awareness and don't sail in straight lines! In the end this mod helps bad players against bad players... Which is why there is a furious endless argument here! The biggest impact is to the community and toxic chat.

    Me too. I've been struggling with tier 7+ CA gameplay in not knowing how to play them without being annihilated by BBs. As I do in my own BBs

    I thought I'd just quote this again because people still aren't getting it. "I got hit from far away must be aim mod" - then you spent a long time not changing course and speed! If detected just wiggle for goodness sake. It puts everyone's aim off.
  9. Division splitting is being worked on. Strait works fine. Hotspot cross spawn is a disaster.

  13. Yes! I've got the hang now. You can scuttle up behind your other fleet if your massively outnumbered and form a grand fleet strait is good. Hotspot not.

    I do. - but I think doing a second season with divs, a third with clans and then back to solo would be good.

    Ah well. I have more doubloons and even more premium! I'd better still be playing in a year. (I suspect so though) - oh and I'm going to play tanks at some point since I've found premium here is premium there.

    Is this the bash WG thread? I am confused that some people come here to complain about the game/company and still play? I also wonder about some peoples expectations. WG do "care" - even their finance dept . They need an attractive game to pull people on and keep people willing to pay. If that stops... Income stops...

    Suspect demand for Tirpitz and Warspite higher in EU. I wonder if NA would get a bundle for premium "enterprise" while we would get it naked. Just a thought. *Russia didn't even get Mikasa (mind you it sank the Russian fleet so maybe demand was low)

    Yes it will... But not this season! So it's interesting whether season 2 would allow division, 3 clan wars, 4 solo... For example.

    People play nations for different reasons as a history nerd I like historic ships. I'll play Russian dds because they actually did lots in ww2! However there is a significant bias to national navies overall

    Eh? it's a happy coincidence of course it's a money grab. It's attempting to maximise profit while limiting numbers at the same time. All premiums are a money grab. They will be sold at the point which they think will generate maximum revenue. I'm still confused as to why people are disappointed or surprised. The only thing which will stop this kind of thing is market forces. Its a PR fail though. I'd have marketed this at new customers and for people who were in before launch given them the naked ship option - numbers ahould be limited there anyway. If not that it's easy to say "don't worry other ships will be available in game soon" and that the bundles are for very popular ships anyway... Unless all will be bundles (suspect not) World of Warspite doesn't sound good either. Edit: am also guilty of buying it but this is the last time I swear! Warspite and Tirpitz are special cases.

  23. I don't find it mind blowing I work for a large corporate... But emotion aside JohnDX is about right. Comms strategy and implementation disjointed, confusing. Events and specials not good. News not always timely. Insight into dev work not joined up. Marketing and sales departments not coordinated. I could go on but I don't want to bash. I could also outline a very simple framework and strategy to fix this and better manage @expectation@. Communication and stakeholder management is a big part of my job so I know all this could be much better. Because it's an awesome game.
