For the love of God, pull split spawn maps from rotation!

*which devs are working on* -
Is it my imagination or do I citadel clevelands when I aim a bit too low. Does the shell slow down in the water preventing overpen?

[NEWS] "Save Keyboards and Ships with Curse Voice"
Admiral_noodle replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Other
Actually that's not fair. It makes perfect sense to team up with another company if it's not your core proposition. I'm still not convinced it will be any sort of success. -
Actually this is the best point. Try every class (I did in CBT and I need to get back in a dd soon). Even carriers. You learn best by trying them all. Why the hate for low tiers? I really enjoy 3-6. I actually carried in a St. Louis today - I know the ship is rather good - but it was an amazing heart racing game! (Trying out WoT and low tier games seem rubbish in comparison. Over too quick and a crap shoot. But I suck at that game.)

Braincage playing the Germans and Russians
Admiral_noodle replied to Ambiroa's topic in General Discussion
All this is personal opinion. Of course some people will make them work. I mean I HATE playing Cleveland, and now if got used to her I quite like Colorado for those guns. -
BBs are easy to be mediocre in. Trouble is having a mediocre bb player can lose you the game. Cruisers are good to learn in. After tier 6 cruisers become difficult.

Invisible ships firing at you the whole game. This forum is going to get hot... -
Exactly. Well I bought it. So shoot me I did however start playing WoT as well to maximise my premium. Take that WG! Haha! Oh...

What's the best premium ship to begin with?

Really? I wondered why I was getting 500k before and "only" 300k now. Oh well it's still brilliant. -
New Aim Mod (No, realy, this one is new)
Admiral_noodle replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Archive
This is difficult because I really can se both sides. The cheat as is isn't game breaking and for good players isn't really much of an issue. It's still not fair. Take two new players one with a mod one without. The mod less new player will be battered by someone with the same (lack) of skill and may end up quitting or cheating themselves. This for me is where it has the most impact. That and toxicity. -
New Aim Mod (No, realy, this one is new)
Admiral_noodle replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Archive
Right. Since I seem to be caught between two camps let me use an analogy. This mod is like steroids in athletics. In the grand scheme of things not that effective but it gives you an unfair "edge". Hard to detect, causes toxicity and accusations. @Elgerino. You're technically correct in my view. The actual impact of this mod on good players is actually very limited. Both users of it and in enemies. What it does do is remove the learning curve we all had to go through for newer players. For a "clever" player that means they can get "good" earlier than they otherwise would have, as aiming had been taken care of. Very good players could use this mod simply to save time and thought. A small edge but a cheat none the less. Or or maybe it's like spell check in an English exam. I don't need it I can spell. In fact it's a hindrance (like on my phone ). I hope WG find a way fairly fast to remove it. -

I won't stop playing simply because the mod doesn't break the game. But the "noise" around it is worse than the mod itself. -
Going premium again when the Clan Wars start

Also fair. I'm really looking forward to joining and playing in a clan. -
New Aim Mod (No, realy, this one is new)
Admiral_noodle replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Archive
Exactly. Did the same thing in Kongo. Instantly accused of cheating. That would happen anyway but the existence of the mod is like a poison cloud over the game. It's not that significant in the grand scheme of things, but it detracts from the fun. And WG are doing something about it, but deciding how takes time. -
I really dislike the map rotation.

Just have more maps -

I get all the maps but... New Dawn is appearing for tier VII now and this never happened before. And Kongo on Big Race is hilarious. Oh and Ocean. In St Louis. Really?!? -

Well by that logic I must be using the mod!! Seriously this thread is in fact all the evidence needed as to why the mod needs killing. -
Going premium again when the Clan Wars start
Admiral_noodle replied to GunnyL's topic in General Discussion
I would disagree there eg Kongo, Fuso, Nagato. All different. Omaha, Cleveland, Pensacola. Don't know too much about IJN cruisers. Played them a bit in CBT and hated Furataka so much I rage quit them -
Good plan. I did a fair few to skill my captain and upgrade to turret speed skill AND upgrade. The rotation is painful. In game I've found Warspite armour angled trollish. I had to switch to HE to sink one in Fuso when it was on 2000HP!!!

Fair play. Didn't you keep some fun tier V and VIs to play? I'm not really bothered about tier X. I want North Carolina and Iowa but the Montana isn't worth it. Not bothered about Des Moines and I'm not grinding Izumo. Next up German cruisers and Russian dds. So I'll be keeping premium to get through those. -

Admiral_noodle replied to ImperialAdmiral's topic in General Discussion
Murmansk. Credits everywhere, good ship and fun fun fun. It's a joy to play. You can fire in all directions and torpedo! Just don't show your side to cruisers and BBs or your fun will be short lived. My BBs eat murmansks for fun. -
New Aim Mod (No, realy, this one is new)
Admiral_noodle replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Archive
And in all likelihood those two weren't cheating... But they might have been. I can hit everything from miles away - if they were it sounds like they are just skilled... In fact there is virtually no way of telling if someone is using the mod or not as its not likely to make you hit more often (it even says that), just make you more confident to shoot as you have a much better idea of where to shoot (still going to be wrong at range as the target can move!) I'll even take on dds at range now I've bothered to learn their speed... Now if you get nailed dead centre first volley over and over and you are travelling at 3/4 speed in a straight line - I would suspect mod. Travelling at 3/4 is devious. -
I've already moaned about this and got told compensation can't be higher or it could be abused. Somehow... Kill me I'm about to be torpedoed?
-
Am confused. Your stats say you get better XP in BBs?

New Aim Mod (No, realy, this one is new)
Admiral_noodle replied to Wischmob_von_Eimer's topic in Archive
And I agree with this. The mod had to be squashed as its just not a fair game without it, even if the impact is low it exists, accusations of cheating make the game less fun to play.
