Trying to rationalize: Played well but still lost 11 out of 13 games...
Admiral_noodle replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
I was going to point out Flamu has a near 60% WR, but then I saw yours is 65% - over 2000+ games. In mostly cruisers and BBs. A lot on division though, solo your stats are similar solo --> and still god like. So I'm not about to criticise having you both on my team would improve my WR. Probably another tip for OP and people who want to win more. Division with very good players -
A CV one tier lower guarantees that division is top tier?
Admiral_noodle replied to Babykim's topic in General Discussion
Or treat the troll cv as the highest tier cv in his division. That would of course be unfair to the team with the troll division but... Well it already is. This is an exploit, and should be addressed. -
I was saying the level of bitter recrimination and argument is disproportionate to the offence(s). Troll divisions and team killing are not examples of "decent behaviour". But you can choose just to walk away from *one game*.

Watch Notser on YouTube. He plays well (a bit too aggressive sometimes) but he narrates what he is doing and why. Flamu etc is for advanced players voulezvous has tips as well, and has dramatically improved my cruiser play. -
A CV one tier lower guarantees that division is top tier?
Admiral_noodle replied to Babykim's topic in General Discussion
Oh dear. Well spotted mr Babykim and for bringing this up. I would: - remove hard CV mirroring to allow 1v0 carriers - limit tier imbalance in divisions to +/-1 Pretty sure 1v0 carrier games aren't totally OP now. The current situation with troll cv divisions is not acceptable, because of the situation above. -

The only thing you can do is improve your own gameplay and therefore increase your impact on games. Focus on the 20% of games you have an opportunity to turn round in your favour and not the 80% which are wins or losses pretty much whatever you do. Suggest trying to look at how others (YouTube etc) play the ships you have and try to replicate what they do. It works - just check out my CBT statistics -

Correct. Perhaps it should. If MM could balance teams by tier AND skill, games might - might - be closer and this more fun. Won't stop losing streaks at all though. Then again if it reduces your "skill" rating if you keep losing it might pair you up with the winners. Maybe. But no, it doesn't. You get players at random. -
It's still only a computer game. How much time have you spent arguing and getting angry over something which in the end matters not a bit

Tier X play CAN be lots of fun. In fact on PT and in CBT it was. But at the moment tier X seems full of nervous players unsure what to do. It will be interesting to see if that evolves. -

He didn't get sunk. But that game. 5-0 on kills. Probably a long game as well? How is that fun? (I think is the question) -
I agree. Can't see the weekly reset happening.

Not sure. As WG bring more ships out we will grind those first before getting up to tier X. I think one of my friends whose played thousands of WoT games still doesn't have a tier X. I I don't think most people will leave because of the current tier X meta... BUT 5 DDs a side is ok, so long as there is balance and fun. I do agree that at present there is too little fun at high tiers. -

Well the DD imbalance will get addressed next patch. It will try to balance nations so if 2 shimas and 2 gearings in queue then each side gets one of each As for "the game will die". None of my friends even have a tier 9 yet, we are having so much fun lower down -
Trying to rationalize: Played well but still lost 11 out of 13 games...
Admiral_noodle replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Well... No. You can influence about 20% of your games. The other 80% you can't. That's why win rates fall between 40-60%. You'll lose 40% and win 40% regardless of what you do. Now it may just be that OP has just had 11 of his "40%" in the last 13 games. -
Hmmm. I've never noticed that at all. I think it's random and you're just unlucky. In AW it is a proper map rotation.

You can get 150k damage, kraken, high caliber etc etc and still lose! Leo. It's a bad run. They happen. Looks like you personally played well though. Don't worry about it there's no conspiracy. Take each game at a time and don't overreach just to "get the win". Don't try to rationalise the "run". Thats not important or relevant. To analyse each game and say "what could I have done better? Could I have affected the outcome?" If "no" then be satisfied. If yes, something to apply next time. And I've been in win runs of ten before. A couple I really helped but some the event died so fast I didn't even have a good game in New Mexico. So the runs happen both ways. if I get confederate, high caliber or kraken I don't actually get annoyed by losing. -
Sink the wows-stats (XVM for warships)
Admiral_noodle replied to MADcompany's topic in General Discussion
You can't tell if it's a win or a loss because you don't know how good or bad the enemy are at that point! But you can get an idea of how much effort the game is going to be...- 306 replies

Sink the wows-stats (XVM for warships)
Admiral_noodle replied to MADcompany's topic in General Discussion
They aren't great. According to warships.today your overall rating is "average" but recently you're good to very good. So that's improvement given my stats are "purple" for the last 200 games and I'm still only "green" I must have properly sucked before i rarely see anyone with "bad" rating. Maybe they dont come to the forum. I wouldnt use someone's stats against them in the game though. I don't really see value in XVM in game.- 306 replies

Players hiding stats should not see others stats

Can't be done unfortunately. Who cares if someone talks rubbish. Ignore them. If he says his stats are better than yours and his are hidden. Can't be proved. Not true. End. -

No I have friends to play with and not always evough for a team battle. Divisions are very popular. -
Ranked Battles - A suggestion.
Admiral_noodle replied to TheFierceRabbit's topic in General Discussion
***must resist replying to MM rigging theories*** I've read the patent too, in detail. I still agree with OP. Not losing a star for coming too might also improve games and prevent fatalism - "oh well looks like we're about to lose, let's get some damage in!" ---> could turn games round. -
A CV one tier lower guarantees that division is top tier?
Admiral_noodle replied to Babykim's topic in General Discussion
Let's try a Yamato Langley division: prediction: MM will throw its toys, queue forever then serve up something really stupid I've never liked hard mirror CV anyway. Following rebalancing I would suggest: Mirror as now but allow 1v0 carriers Result: us CAs are relevant again and the above problem is instantly solved -

Actually I agree. I never division with different tiers. Why would you? At least have a 1 tier difference limit.
