    This idea > not fun! Why don't you try explaining the idea in a short paragraph, getting people's feedback and then if positive go into detail! Anyway. The core of the idea would be interesting as a game mode > fleet battles. Fleets play a series of battles with objectives (otherwise camp fest) where your losses carry over into game 2. So do you go all in to win game one or reserve your ship strength for game 2. But it's too complex for this kind of online play. It would have to be two teams playing a mode. Like "fleet wars"

    But they do. Not openly, actively or brilliantly admittedly. 0.5.5 has weather. And other content people have been asking for. If WG suck at anything *really hard* it's PR and self promotion. If I was in charge I would have a list of things asked for and delivered by patch. And upcoming plans. But anyway...

    Hey. You do know Sky isn't a troll and just a special flower right? seriously. OP is getting good entertainment from us tho... also why do a lot of people think there has to be an "end game"? It's not Zelda. You can't "complete" the game. And regarding ing frustration and complaints. They are valid! Post something useful like well thought out objective content with ideas on improvement for discussion. Don't open multiple threads just to moan, then insult everyone who disagrees with your baseless non arguments. Oh and as for server numbers. A quick look shows: people were interested less in Russian cruisers on EU. Population relatively flat over the aet two weeks. I expect people to come and try new weather and stuff in 0.5.5. I would also expect RN to generate a higher interest and more players, eventually. But people aren't flocking away really. I think spring and summer will see people get out more and play less aswell.

  5. What? Murmansk still epic fun! Anyway I agree premium ships should not be "better" tier for tier but "unique and different". Banning them from game modes is just wrong.
  6. Understand the sentiment. Disagree with it though. I bought my premiums I wanna use em wherever I can! unless you're suggesting a poke boat tournament. Then I'm all for it.

    I didn't call you a noob. I will call you rude though. You can be as whiney and aggressive as you like but the game is not "pay to WIN". It's certainly pay to unlock everything. Premium ships for a start. And as Spellfire says it will take you a LONG time and a lot of games to unlock all the free content. However playing it that way might just make you a very good player who WINS a lot. Pay to win is still false. Pay to rush? Yes. Pay to progress? Well not really. You will progress free, just slower. Pay to WIN would be things like special gold only ammo...

    Agree with Vanhal. The discussion isn't about the economy principle but the actual values. It feels too harsh at tier X which creates *rubbish games* because people don't want to LOSE money. Solution would be to make the repair costs cheaper (slightly) but flatter so sinking matters less... Anyway...

    Yes. Situational though. CV-less game, you have a worse NY. Anyway my point really was I don't consider Arkansas AA lack to be much of a handicap, so I doubt the powerful AA will be a lot of use to me personally.

    False. Without premium you can make good profits at tier V to fund your high tier ships. Just because *you don't want to play it like that* does not make it pay to win.

    Where did we get this "I am entitled to everything free and right now so gimme gimme gimme!" Attitude from anyway? Positive feedback on how the game might be improved is one thing, but insulting devs and whining about a FREE game is just... Baffling

    I really don't see strong AA as over powered on a tier V BB. I'm not sure if it's all that much better than NY to be honest but my issue is that it's "just a NY battleship". I probably won't bother unless she's like a tenner. If it had been an all new class I would def have bought.

    Am I the only cruiser player that immediately switches to DDs when they are spotted? That's their job! Plus a lot of players must not realise that 20% of a bb HP is less XP than 50% of a DD...

    Good review. I don't think it will be "better" than New York or Kongo. More "different". Being less vulnerable to cvs and more vulnerable to DDs is worse in my book. But anyway... The only disappointment is that this is a New York model. I want something new and different for a premium. So I'll see what the price is (I am in the market for a mid tier bb prem)

    ...yes. Except if both are multiplicative I'm sure that makes DE far too good in some cases and terrible in others... While you can't make fire prevention subtractive... Because some fire chances would go below 0... But yes in principle they ought to work the same way!

    Had it yesterday. My division mate didn't. However it's an issue with my ISP (virgin!!) at peak times (150mbps connection getting 6-7 ) so so just because it's not "your end" doesn't mean it's WG. There's a lot in between sadly.

    OP. Man up. Bad games happen. Afk sometimes happens. Stop complaining about such things. You'll have benefitted from them an equal number of times ---> unless you want to apologise for those wins you got thanks to an opponent lemon team/afk/team killer... A sensible post would have been to ask: - are there too many afk? More lately? Which there aren't in my experience... Just the usual low level annoyance.

    When to use AP

    Short answer: use AP when your enemy is (or is about to) showing you a flat side. AP will pen and do more damage than he (generally). if you bounce off the belt your AP is too weak so aim for the superstructure instead (most cruisers vs BBs) Otherwise aim at the waterline (cruiser vs cruiser)

    This +1. Although tier 9 and 10 might be a bit too expensive tier 8 is fine. So it doesn't earn you lots of credits but you usually don't lose money. Also ive seen plenty of youtubers make shed loads at tier X just by being good. Think of it as an incentive. Losing money at tier X? Try to be better... Its part of the game for reasons above.

    Hmm. I've never been burned to death by a DD in my BBs. I've been annoyed the hell out of by a DD in smoke but I see no option other than to retreat of no one is dealing with it. Lately I've been playing cruisers instead. My average damage is down but win rate up. Guess why

    Yamato - My performance is low...

    I've not got a Yamato and I'm not doing great in Iowa but there are two points (from Flamu and in the BBs guide on the forum under guides, where it has a Yamato guide!) which are learning points from me. From flamus video on the Texas. BBs need to be patient and shoot cruisers when they have committed to a turn. Not when straight, but when full rudder coming straight. That moment the shots aren't dodge able at medium range. Second point: at long range don't fire at the waterline but the deck. Which is slightly up. To get plunging fire (RNG notwithstanding) At high tiers I think both points are as valid as at medium tiers. And I think I've been 1) impatient and 2) not aiming properly at long range.

    Good good. I'd rather they take the time to get such "team play" mechanics right. Spotting isn't the only one either. There are many things XP would be good to reward, like being a cruiser fleet escort and tanking damage in a bb, but if implemented badly "XP whoring" will lead to royally screwed game balance. So care is needed.
