I get what you mean, but honestly, their personal responses towards me have been good given the circumstances. I'm not allowed to copy the messages here due to forum rules :( It's a little double-edged sword type of deal here, but it's in my nature to be appreciative of things that go right in a world where customer support is non-excistent. To clarify a little further, I'm happy and appreciative of the support employees responses and willingness to help towards me. I'm still not happy about the commercial and legal mess they've made with these containers. I might have come off as being happy with WG in this deal, that's not what I meant to say. But being a [edited] towards an employee that is actively seeking options to help you out when you ask for help feels wrong to me. It feels a little weird to be mad at a specific individual who you know did not make these stupid and anti-consumer decisions, it's usually the marketing and financial managers/ceo's of a company that do, but never get the blame for it. So to summarize. Specific employees helping me out right now: Good, thank you guys for being cooperative. I know what you mean and agree. I mainly meant I'm happy about the personal contact I've had with them to rectify my personal issue with this. And wanted to drop a nugget of positivity here. also since a few people have asked to report what would happen with my tickets. It does not excuse the business practices regarding the santa containers. But their reacting towards my support tickets color me a little more positive towards my personal feeling towards my refund issue. At least they are willing to look for an solution, and that was better than I initially expected. Still, they should change the description on the purchase page. I understand they might be afraid for greater consequences if they admit what they did with the boxes, and excuses safeguard them from some lawsuits. But it should be required that they change the description or take the sale offline until they make the necessary changes to abide by EU and local laws, just like EA and other companies are forced to do right now.

I've had an answer from wargaming. Some parts of the christmas purchases seem to have been used, so that is a bummer. But they offered to do a rollback of my account. I asked a few questions about how this would work and if I can choose a timeframe for it, since I made a purchase I'm dying to keep (black friday stuff) a day before I bought the santa containers. It feels a little sorry still, but honestly, I'm positive and happy that they offered another solutions and I'm ready and willing to take that opportunity. I know it's easy to diss the company for everything, but if they do something good, I'd also like to say it. So far I'm happy about the response from player support in order to look for a adequate solution for both parties.

Flambass announced after this mess that he had a few videos in the backlog but will step away from Ships for a while. (unknown how long exactly).

I haven't gotten a solid reply to my tickets yet, but next step would be to make a claim through Paypal.

I made tickets or all purchases, they have now been merges into 1 ticket, I'm okay with that. Reply in summary (not allowed to copy here due to forum rules) is that their specialist and deverlopers are looking into it. That might be fair, not sure how much trouble it is to refund loot boxes and retract the given rewards from my account. I responded to that that I'd prefer all my christmas purchases would be refunded. We'll wait and see.

I just entered refund tickets for all my christmas container purchases. Really curious to see if they'll maintain their honor and complete my requests. As a reason I said: Information given about possible rewards is not correct. This is illegal in the EU, therefore I would like to refund this purchase. And now we wait...

Didn't think about that defense, but that is totally what they would say. Although I had a 20 mega container drop that 100% did not bring more value then the crate price, even if you believe WG's fantasy values of ingame items. Even in that fantasy land, it was underwhelming.

True, but they overvalue every digital item to the extreme in this game. So in their fantasy world, it would be hella expensive. In the real world if will only cost them the manhours that's needed to administer rectifications. But yeah... not counting on it tbh. There is this saying: To fix things, you first have to admit what went wrong... and you know that's never gonna happen.

That's at best what they'll do. But I wouldn't even count on that.

WG: Hold my Makarov... No but seriously, don't expect them to compensate anyone for this. They'll have to admit wrongdoing for them to even be forced to consider compensation, it won't happen. Please don't get your hopes up. Because if they would, I would be one expensive costumer for them, bought quite a lot of crates in search of desireables

You've got to understand, if they did that they couldn't milk this scam for every last drop of whalepennies they can get.

What you said is so correct, it's almost frightening I'm getting more and more fed up with this stuff now :( At first I didn't care much for the schemes and the game was really fun. But now, I barely get any enjoyment out of the game anymore since every match I get the most retarded teammates :( this game needs skill based matchmaking a.s.a.p. It's come to the point where I cannot care about my stats anymore, since there is almost no way saving them. No matter how super unicuum I play, I can't carry 11 other players, or on a good day 10 other players... It's just to much. I can carry quite a few (say 4 to 5), but not 11. And the schemes are getting so ridiculous, it's just not fun anymore. The recent black friday event might have been the least dodgy one ever. All the ships could be bought, and prices where clear, expensive... but clear and honest. I bought a few black ships I really wanted for my collection, but current events really make me regret my decision since I'm inching closer to the decision to just quit.
