I got to the 'do 1600xp in one battle' mission. Ive been stuck on it for nearly a week. It seems impossible to do as the games always end before all enemy ships are sunk, robbing me of the chance to gain the extra bit of xp i need. The closest I've gotten is 1200xp. The mission ends today. If i dont complete the mission by tonight then I dont get the ship, thus wasting a couple of weeks of my time. This mission set needed at least 1 skip or something like an 'order' on tanks to skip the mission. This is really disappointing to me. I've tried DD's, I suck in them and get sunk. Any other ideas peeps to help me with this mission please?? And in future should WG allow us to skip at least one step of a mission series? Use of doubloons to skip?

I know its base XP and i do understand how the bonus's work. I thank you anyway for your correct answer, as i know, you dont know, just how much of a potato I am lol. I was suggesting with the doubloons thing - like on tanks when they do a marathon - you can buy tokens to get the tank cheaper if you've done some of the mission. I think WoW's could use with the same thing, tokens like tanks or let me spend my doubloons.... Yes i know i can buy the ship with cash from the prem shop, but doing that defeats the point of the mission. I shall try again tonight with my division buddies, although I might drop them and be greedy and get all the damage, kills and caps myself :)

Thanks for the suggestions. My highest tier is tier 6. Yes i havnt played a lot since open beta.... I mostly play British BB's at the min. I've just bought my Iron Duke today so I'l take that out for a spin later. I take it that Im gonna have to carry hard and hope for luck to get this xp tonight lol. I was thinking that it might have something to do with needing higher tier ships, so thanks for the clarification :) I would buy a prem ship to do the mission, but that defeats the point of the mission lol.

The one thing missing from this game is rough sea's. please please please can we have storms and rain and big waves that throw everyone's aim / torps off. Not for every battle obviously, but sea conditions are not always peaceful. I thought Id share my idea as I think it would add so many dynamics like slowing down destroyers, throwing the aim of cruisers and battleships that might be shooting at you. possibly a wind speed dynamic too that slows/speeds up aircraft and alters the trajectory or your shots? Just an idea, open to changes
