    Game fatness

Be assured, most of the world is on your side here, as it seems to be some french defination for something, that 90% of the world define by a english name. So business as usual for the french...

    Game fatness

just check the res_packages directory and You'll find .pkg files accounting for ~62 gigs, categorized in stuff like Sound, Spaces, Vehicles etc etc which - for me - indicates that the model data and textures for all the stuff in the game are packaged there
  3. I'll reset all captains except maybe two or three and will probably only also play only a few ships until the captain reeworked gets finalised.

    British Destroyer advice?

I haven't laughed at OPs OP. And if telling him that he should rather play CoOp because it probably suits his skillset better is in Your opinion bullying, so be it so... Yes, I'm quite bad with quite a few ships. And yes, I might be able to get better - though probably not by watching YouTube videos, which I consider boring as f*ck - but as that would mean that I would have to invest time and energy to achieve in the end nothing, because I still get grouped with players that are even substantially worse than I am, I rather play along happily on my mediocre level and continue to hold my ~54% winrate.

    Anshan event

Ahsooo... is a while since I spend real money for ships (or the game at all..), but yeah, there's not much to be got (for coal or dubloons) at T6 and below... unless one has a severe soviet fetish and/or loves copypasta ships...
  6. For all these "with that DPM it can an elefant..." arguments there's always the problem of "You got to hit it first"... But of course it's always easier to just whine, even if there isn't any cheese available...

    Anshan event

Uhm, no... But okay if You think it is... More Babyseals for me...
  8. Deckeru_Maiku

    British Destroyer advice?

Considering Your stats with other ships, I'd recommend You to play them only in CoOp. As You should do with all Your other ships.

Update 0.10.1 article released - some interesting points.

For me, the Dasha Factor of the update seems a bit unclear. That dress nicely shows off her mammalian protuberances, while at the same time nearly showing skin... indicates a meh update for me, with no big positive or negative things coming with it... For the newcomers: The Dasha Factor Theory says, that the more nekkid flesh Dasha shows in the Promotional videos, the more bad the implemented new mechanics and other funny ideas of the game designers turn out to be. In hindsight for the CV reeework should appeared in a very tiny bikini swimsuit though, but it's said that she was secretly going commando under her dress she wore for that one...

    General CV related discussions.

"How to get a Best Of YouTube Video 101 - only use replays of battles which show what You want them to show" And from a CV potato - me - standpoint: RN Bombs > US HE Bombs > IJN AP Bombs >>>>> KM AP Bombs as with the "Area Bombs" I can achieve at least some hits. I'm THAT bad with bombs, that I prefer torpedoes in about every situation, except maybe for when going after DDs. Of course my expectations for "Damage done" for a battle are probably atlast 50% lower than of other CV players posting here.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Oookay... had to do some battles today get that Chinese New Year thingy done (which I did, to just get utterly disappointed because I already have the Anshan (= got me 15k credits it seems) and the two containers netted me specacular 6 (!) camos... wow... utterly stunned...) So, started with Ranger in a T7 battle, doing my usual thing... harassing and spotting DDs, waiting 'til enemy Cruisers and BBs got softenend up with some HE and then trying the battle to a positive end. So I got me only one sinker, but 89k damage, 3.5k PR and the win... So time for the Furious battle, which delivered me a bunch of T8 ships as enemies again... which also managed to blob greatly for the Epeencenter battle, which wasn't a nice experience, as I had not really a chance to dodge flak, while also my team decided to get themselves killed one by one... so I survived until the counter ran out... Loss... 0 kills, measly 16k damage.. pls forget this... So after that I went french BBs... Normandie, Dunkerque and Strasbourg - wins... Jean Bart - meh...loss... And the last battle for the Chinese Missions I did in the Massa B - secondaries skilled of course - and got a win... All in all a 55% winrate day, so not a full failure for a SUNDAY with SUNDAY teams...

What builds did you change since the captain skill rework?

all nearly all, especially anything involving DeadEye Nothing... reeework reeworked as expected none, as I will delete all builds before the end of the free phase to not have spend dubloons for resets when WG - as expected - will start reeworking the reework...

Actually I do stuff like that only when I expect certain reactions... and I'm so glad I got what I expected once more here...

    Games ending too quick

Works perfectly for me, as I only do a small % of my battles in high tier... ^v^

Should WG ban all sub 50% wr players from randoms?

Nope... this is about keeping them potatoes out of random battles, so they have to get offered a refuge to gather where they don't really annoy a large part of the playing community.. ranked is THE place for that. I'd rather to see that limitation on sub-par players set even broader: keep all players with a <90% CoOp winrate out of CoOp battles. Can't have these people risk their health by having to do something as difficult as playing a computer game and breathing at the same time...

#1 - so "basics of evolution" is too oldschool for You? #2 - many famous writers - even nobel prize winners - were featured in Playboy. And the jokes/cartoons usually were quite funny. Considering boobs though, it's as with shipgirls: 3D > 2D all day long... And showing no respect to Old Folks is something, that young people of all times thought of "cool" of, until they became the Old Folks and suddenly noticed, that the things they thought of as "true" were suddenly seen as "outdated" by the next generation. So, Sunleader, You're just an "Old Person to be" - in case You live long enough to grow old, which usually only those achieve, who do not try to win a Darwin Award.

Ah, but it IS totally legal to love dead people. You just can't get close and cuddly with them... but hey, that's not different to shipgirls, right

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Had one of those days that define me as a 54% average potato player... Started - as usual recently - with the Ranger. Got a T8 battle - with nearly only T7 and T8 ships, so no easy target for me - and didn't manage my best battle. Still I did a bit of spotting and harassing and didn't f*ck up totally. Nonetheless the team carried me to the win... no stats, as they were too depressing Fast forward to the next battle: Furious... for once I got a T6 battle in it. And quite contrary to the Ranger battle, this time I was able to pull my weight (or whatever that's supposed to be) by taking two enemy DDs and doing a nice amount of damage against some BBs going boldly all alone where no BB should go alone... so, win, 2 sinkers and 98k damage... Had another bad battle in my Zara (well, in fact some more bad battles, but only one bad one worth mentioning) in which my only positive result was pi**ing off the enemy T8 CV, so he took me as his main target, wasting lots of time and 25 planes on me, not keeping me from capping a cap - no DD battle... yay! - and at least achieving a kill... If my team hadn't consisted of ~45% we might even have had a chance to embarrass the everflying shiet out of that CV... so it was just another loss... Fun fact: three of 24 players in that battle had a total or/and ship winrate above 50%. Me and two players on the enemy team. Not that CV though Fun fact too: just when that CV lined up some planes to sink me, I got sunk by a Neptune from half an map away... At least I have my trusty Normandie, which rarely disappoints me... and this time that old horse behaved like a racing horse (in a T7 battle). First I pushed like an idiot into a cap, as my teammates on that flank didn't really show any signs wanting to advance. I even got shot at by an allied New York... luckily with HE... and didn't get a "sorry" or whatever... probably took me for an enemy ship?!? But after I blasted an enemy Cruiser at that cap - and started capping - they crept out of their holes and tried to follow me... well... It's way too much fun go hunting DDs with a BB. So I pushed ahead, ignoring a Fiji on my left, who smoked up allowing me to go invisible. DD sat in smoke ahead of me, so I just had to watch for torps. Of course it helps a bit that I have a few battles experience in DDs myself *cough* so that poor sod in the Blysckrawizschki-whatever probably didn't expect me to actively HUNT him. When his torps missed me, he tried his guns on me... with AP... which wasn't that good a choice, as I had HE loaded and 12 guns turned into his direction... After that it was only mopping up and sinking two more enemies who had be softened up already, before I lost my last 278 hp against one of the two surviving enemy ships... with the battle ending 30 seconds later with a win... So 4 sinkers, 90k damage, 3.5k PR and a win... nice battle...

It saddens me to have to tell all these poor guys that they will never become cute little battleshipgirls... not even with hormones or operations... so, so sad...

Win Rate, what is that mean?

Yeah, horrible experience, I agree... but it makes my ranting in In-Game chat so much more qualified... ^v^ Again, this is kinda true, but also probably off the reality, as this game is no closed environment. We do not have always the same 100 players playing against each other for a given number of battles Instead we have an always changing number of differently skilled players playing quite a few, lots or nearly no battles, most often not against each other... Being a mathematical potato I would expect this to building a really working statistical system quite problematic, if not near impossible. Maybe one of our statistical geniusses can come up with a model reflects the following base data: number of players in the model randomly changing between 24 (to get two teams) and 240 on each notch on the timeline number of battles each of these players plays per notch on the timeline randomly assigned between 0 (for a day off taken) to 15 each player gets a base skill level modifier assigned that takes a slight influence on his daily performance. This goes from 40 to 70 - taking from the "Utter Potato" to "Unicum" winrate scale - and random changes by a small amount - like make +/- 5 - for each battle due to environmental, mental or health changes add some more global randomness for "bad RNG", connectivity problems, power failures, girl friend/wife/pets/children asking for attention etc. etc. I think I stop here, to not make that statistical model too complicated... like by taking into count the number of players that stopped playing after different amounts of battles, who still clutter the stats databases... In the end, I expect the model to show that about 3/4th of the playerbase end up in the <48% skill range, with about 5% in the 60%+ Unicorn range and the rest (~20%) somewhere between 48 and 60%
  21. Deckeru_Maiku

Win Rate, what is that mean?

Honestly, I don't see that in the game. I've got PotatoAlert running for a while and I see that there's usually abundance of 47% average winrate teams fighting against 48% average winrate teams, which end with a horrible roflstomp of the 47%s over the 48%s... These teams often have players within them, that have a total average winrate above 55% or often at least about 100+ battles played in the ship in battle with such a winrate (= 60%) and to my great astonishedment these usually do not play that much better than You claim. They just get dragged down by stupid... So no, no single player is influential enough to lower or raise the in chance of a team for a solid 10%. And yes, a player with a 47% average winrate is a horrible potato who - when grouped with more of his type, which seems the current usual situation - lessens the winchance of his team by a slight amount. Unless he has a good day or doesn't play an influential class/ship, get's disco'd at the start of the battle etc. etc. etc.
  22. Deckeru_Maiku

Win Rate, what is that mean?

Though I'm globally agreeing with You, this looks a wee bit like effed up maths to me. I mean, there's 12 players on that team. So if there's 11 with a 50% winrate and only 1 with 40% the totally win% for the team should (in my probable flawed and un-mathematic logic) kinda like ((11x50%)+(1x40%))/12 = 590%/12 = 49.17% And that 60% unicorn would raise - mathematically - raise the average win% for the team to a stunning ((11x50%)+(1x60%))/12 = 610%/12 = 50.84% Of course only if they use a class of ships that even is able to have enough influence on a battle.
  23. Which helps us in the game exactly how? I mean compared to "Get closer to the target and probably hit it a bit better due to dispersion being smaller"?!?

I like simple... I'm only a simple person myself... Simple is good...

Are there Cheater's in World off Warships ?

Easy to test though... Just change from gun to torps, count to five, don't fire torps, then change back to guns... when they still turn it's because that switching... if not repeat but this time DO fire the torps. Now a sudden evasive action WOULD look a wee bit more suspiciously... I use that "guns - switch to torps and count to five - switch to guns again" action to see which that possible target likes to turn to when expecting torps... usually most BaBBies don't react in any way, though...
