    FLAMU IS FREEEEEE

You should get a better dictionary, as Yours seems to be outdated.. or maybe russian... or both. Programmers (try to, and often fail to) code the stuff that Game Designers tell them to put into the game, because the Game Designers got told by Product and Business Owners "Make us gibs for vodka and females of negotiable virtue, nao!" Product and Business Owners usually don't bother about details like "what is going into the game" - they bother only about what comes out finacially....

Logically and gamebalance-wise you are of course right. But WG in their usual vodka induced stupor decided that it would not good for CV players to able to waste all their planes mindlessly and then be unable to attack any targets after five minutes of the battle have passed... Can't have a potential source of income - here: CV players, who are supposed spend money on Premium CVs - to have at least a basic understanding of game mechanisms and skill to achieve great results. At least not until all potential buyers have spend enough money, after which the next new OP ship/class/whatever will implemented into the game.

Forum game "back in my day"

Back in my days I bought a Yubari and a Sims as my first premium ships and both were most CVs nightmare. Back in my days the premium Blyscawiscz I got was able to kite a BB invisible 'til it - the BB that is - was burned to cinders. And back in my days WG had a politic of not nerfing premiums.

Smaller Teams for Random Games ?

Well, that would be another positive effect, right? and I bet You don't lie, right? Which, probably, would mean that 80% of players usually playing random battles would then play that "separate game mode" That would - by your (flawed) logic - mean that those bigger teams would need players with more skill. And You really, really, REALLY expected to get enough good skilled players for just a single 19 vs. 19 player battle?

The bad thing about that is, one needs at least a minimal amount of skill and/or brains to figure that out. What me bothers me quite a lot is, that a CV potato as I manage to get that "sideway approach" against quite a few T5 to T8 DDs with my Ranger's, Ryujo's and even Furious' Rocket planes. Not every time, of course, but often enough...
  14. Well, considering the thread title there might be a chance that with all the LGBT activism going on nowadays, to hop on that train and to ask for the diverse LGBT communties in Europe and the US to use their influence to make the game less binary.
  15. You did enough teamdamage before to enable to "Any more team damage done gets reflected on your own sorry a*s, dude!" option, it seems. So by hitting/damaging allied ships too often you managed to sink yourself, congratulations! Some serious hints, though, even this whole thread is purely a source for comedy: Turn on the display of player names in the lists of ships in the battle, as that makes it easier to identify the bots (by the :name: = the colons in front and behind their name they have) and adjust your actions according to their positioning and actions. Bots usually sail straight ahead towards the next enemy/-ies. Play accordingly. Often it helps to wait until the bots have cancelled out each other to only go after the surviving bots and human bots...

Yeah, YOU will still with those 200 captains. Other players - especially newer players - don't have that many captains and probably will want to move their captains to the next silver ship they manage to unlock, and to play as before (= with working skills) they probably use Dubloons... and then notice that the skills they chose for the T5 ship won't work good for the T6 ship... so more Dubloons for the reskill. Yes, it's not Pay2Play at all... but it's Pay2Play as effective as You are used to... Sure doesn't veteran players with millions of Captain Exp lying around, but these probably are not the target group for this captain skill reeework anyway Seems WG has such data, considering how vehemently they don't push implementation of Subs recently. How long since the last appearance of subs on any form of test server? Looks to me that they learned that the market share of players probably being ready to spend money on subs isn't worth putting too much designer hours into this (ad)venture. Which I would be quite happy about.

At least at medium tiers - 5 to 7 - the quality of the team has a lot more influence on the outcome of the battle than the CV. I'm not a really good CV player. But even though I sometimes manage to achieve interesting results with several sunk opposing ships and lots of spotting - just to see my allied get decimated faster than I could even send out planes out. And they don't fall to the enemy CV, but to opposing surface ships and their own dumbness or lack of ability. Had today a battle with me sinking 5 enemy ships and 146k damage done, which still only resulted in a loss, as my "team" just yolo'd happily into their death... So yeah, reeworked CVs are bad for the meta and the game. And yeah, they have the ability to be OP (when in the right hands and when accompanied with a team of not totally potatoes), but they are not usually able to win every battle on their own. Which is of course made sure by having CVs on both teams and usually the battle ending not in a draw, making at least one CV losing the battle. But yes, the skill of the CV player helps in deciding the outcome of the battle. And because the power of CVs the skillgap between the CV captains has more influence on the outcome of the battle, than maybe the skillgap between two DD players in a battle with three DDs per time. But THE deciding factor for the outcome of a battle is the skill of all 24 players in the battle... which sometimes is horribly low, even as far veteran players with thousands of battles are concerned.

Can we expect good play from Cruisers/DD players?

Luckily BBs don't have that requirement, shown by all the BaBBies (meaning: BB players lacking skill, contrary to skilled BB players, which never should be considered BaBBies...) in the game, that still manage.. well.. nothing really, exept for whining about bad Cruiser and DD players and spamming the "I need intelligence" F-key... which is quite ironic, when considered...

None of that explains why WG f*cks up their game with stuff like the CV reework, which not exactly made them a fortune from selling CVs (I guess...) but drove quite a few players away from the game.... The captain reeework on the other hand is pure P2W.. or rather P2P(lay a bit like before we crapped on your opinions about if a captain skill reeework was needed, except for money...)

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Rant of the Day: I hate potato teams.... Check this: So, Fault Line Standard Battle.. "my" "team" started on the southern side of the map. At first three ships - BB, Cruiser and a DD - went east to go to the channel there. I checked the middle part of the map looking for a DD, found the Anshan and took it out - "First Blood" award. Then I went to support the ships below the channel, as they failed to advance against the enemy Fubuki and an Omaha there. As soon as attacked the enemies, all three allied ships suddenly ran to the middle of the map. The rest of team was busy camping the western map edge... So in the end I was left on my own to stop the Fubuki and Omaha break through, which, due to my low CV skill, took me a while - kills 2 (Fubuki rocketed in oblivion) and 3 (Omaha, which took a bit, as he was quite actively dodging bombs and torps). After that, half of my team was already sunk, while talking out only three enemy ships themselves. I set course to the eastern channel, which was free of enemy ships and started to go for the surviving enemy ships, taking out the Dunkerque next - which had sunk our Vasteräs, that thought it wise to be visible to the Dunque. That also was the moment, when I saw the "you are the last hope..." message. I managed to sink the Bayern, then had the enemy Queen Elisabeth in my aim for some attacks.. At that time I already had gone through the channel, close to the northern map edge - and got shelled by the Queen E and the surviving Omaha... but managed to do a bit more damage without getting sunk myself until 2 seconds before the time ran out.. then Boom! PotatoAlert told me, that the average winrate of my "team" was 46.7%, while the opposing team had a solid 50.6% Talk about balanced teams, ey? I wonder how I could have done more to carry this sack of rotten potatoes?

    NoZoups easy deadeye skill counterplay!

No Twitch for me (being too oldfashioned for that stuff) but here in Germany we get his show at least one channel during the nightshift program and I probably could get it from some channel's mediathek ^^

I don't think anybody watches Jingles videos to get valid info about game mechanics and how to play the game... the few times I watched videos from Jingles, I did it just because of his voice reminds me of the calm way of speaking that Rob Ross - may he rest in peace and forever paint nice pictures of fields of clouds in heaven (if there is some heaven) without any happy little accidents - always had on his painting lessons on TV.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

After a couple days with sub-par results I managed a 100% winrate today... four battles in random and another in CoOp After the daily Ranger battle (2 sinker, 43k damage, 2.5k PR, win - still only up to 52% winrate and only 10 battles to reach the 100 battle margin) I also got a - rare - win in the Furious (46k damage, 1 sinker, 1.8k PR, win) even though I got a T8 battle once again... sometimes I seem to rather win the battles in which I do rather little damage, but lose when I cross the 100k damage threshold... weird world... The other battles were in the Krispy Kreme - not noteworthy, but a win is a win is a win - and my first battle ever in the Conte di Cavour, luckily in a T5 battle with only a poor little T4 CV, which allowed me 12 planes shot down with little damage taken. And as I had a whole flank to defend all on my own, I also had the chance to gather 93k damage and two kills - a Nicholas, which desperate tried to torp me, while risking get spotted at the attempt - as I was speeding away from him - and caught one SAP shell to many in the end. And a Texas, that started nicely with some heavy damage against me, but then also got a slight bit unlucky and in the end fell to own lucky SAP shell fired at my maximum range. So 2 kills, 93k damage, 3k PR, win... And compared to the Dante Alighieri the Cavour doesn't feel like hell (see what I did there? ). Also did a battle in CoOp in my Massachusetts slaughtering some bots... but that doesn't really count, right? I mean, with 99.23% CoOp winrate winning after slaughtering bots is expected...
  24. Add to that, the bots can also easily get "distracted" to shoot at other targets, if You're the target closest to them, if You manage to get invisible (smoke, island..) and stop shooting at them. This "feature" often allows for an uninterrupted torpedo run with a DD or Cruiser. The most horrible thing about the current bots is, they still manage to be better than quite a larger portion of the human players in this game. ovo

Can we expect good play from Cruisers/DD players?

Wow, can't really wait to see what You will post when they would really start begging in "a couple weeks". They'd sure as hell won't beg for DeadEye to be removed, but for BB buffs, Cruiser/DD nerfs, or tons of other things that would not change the little imaginary world they live in...
