Would be hilarious to see that in battles, with a playerbase that has a high percentage of players shooting 8km range torpedoes at targets 15km away.... and have course set to take them even further away from the guy firing the torps... Cue: "But that target was only 3km away and my torps just went through him and didn't hit him..." (if it works kinda like DW torps..) or "...and didn't explode" (if they don't) -

Which were from " König, 2 CV, 2016-09-04 " while I was writing about the time shortly before the reeeework. Between 2016 and the reework happened a couple little changes, which - in my opinion - made playing against RTS CVs bearable... Your turn to pick nits again... -

At least in about the year about the reeework CVs were quite scarce and I can't recall many occasions in which there were two CVs per side. Considering the fact, that my Yubari usually didn't a single CV for 10+ battles in a row usually, which explains why my Yubari has only an average of only 4.75 planes shot down, while I regularly deplaned T4 and sometimes T5 CVs which were dumb enough to attack me. And on the other tiers above it wasn't that much different... And usually, even IF there were two CVs per side in a battle, they still had to watch out for AA to not get deplaned and also had watch for the opposing CV's fighters, which made the average CV players way less influential and/or deadly as after the reework. Yes, you were f*cked when the enemy got a Unicorn CV and your's was a potato... but that's not different to now. Except for it being even more horrible now... But probably in Your world it was totally different, right? -
If it means we're back to RTS times, where we see CVs about every 10 battles at any tier and a Unicorn CV about once every half year... yeah, sounds great to me.

Sooo... many people wrote that it would be good to buy the Haida, now that it will be pulled from the shop, so I invested some dubloons - which I had got when going into beta and since then in the game for free - and bought me the Okhotnik and the Leone... Soo... last couple days I had some battles in each. Like 4 in the Okhotnik and won 3 of those. With 1.5 average kills and 57k average damage done. Which is meagre compared to the slaughter I did with her in CoOp against all those helpless bots when doing the new Italian BB missions (hint: finished the missions - all of the first batch - today). 7 battles, all won, 3 average kills per battle and 59k average damage... The Leone did also did nice in CoOp - 3 battles, all won, 55k average battle, 3 average kills a battle - but is a bit less successful in random battles - 83.% winrate in 6 battles, but only 31k average damage and 0.67 average kills.. Nonetheless she feels kinda good-ish, when played rather passively... And as this is a "best of.." thread: today the Leone did really nice in battle, with 87k damage and a 3.7k PR in a win, in which I didn't manage a single kill, as all targets I damaged got finally blasted and sunk by some teammates... but nontheless a shipload of spotting damage too... and, well, a win, right... can't ever be bad if you win... -

Experience from previous missions with container rewards that were kinda... meh? If those missions weren't doable in CoOps I wouldn't even bother about them, because the reward was never really worth it so far... (= previous missions)

But a ballista at the bow of the trireme and use a gun arc like for Krispy Kreme or Cleveland or so for shots for 500m range - yeah, that would need some re-scaling for the game.. and very small maps... - and it would even teach something about ballistics

CVs, as that means that there is the same number and tier (usually +2 tiers) of them on the enemy team... -
That was all that was needed in this thread... Though reading some "interesting theories" by some tin foil hatted sub-par BaBBy of course help to make the day a bit brighter, although a lot less educational. ^v^

Soooo... You know CVs are horrible and that it's WG who is responsible for that. you still hope that WG manages to produce some "balanced" game mechanism for a class they want to push (for sales...), which was also the same reason for the CV reeework. You don't know what WG plans to do with subs... and how they plan to make them fit into the game. you rather fight against subs, even though don't seem to know ANYTHING about what WG will do with them... Sorry, but somehow I don't think you have the foggiest clue about what will result from subs getting implemented into random battles and what that will do to the game. -

Well, I like to play my Krispy Krem aka Baby Atlanta... so now with the Okhotnik I also have a Baba Kitakami with castrated torp range, but a shipload of guns?!? Seems the Okhotnik is needing a lot of map awareness and the skill of clairvoyance to set traps and to have those sloooooow turning guns pointing in the right direction. I'll see how I will fare with it.. -

had only time for a total of 4 battles in them today (in randoms) and won 100%, while doing neglectable damage... Leone seems nice for hunting other DDs though?!? At least I managed to sink a few... But yeah, that weird playstyles they offer is what usually attracts and entertains me. -

Like how? You see, I was only writing about a possibility. You reply as if you would have proof. In such a case, it is needed to deliver the source of it, else that answer de-validates automatically and just shows the poster being a pompous a*se, who gives more or less nonsensical answers to each and every post. Which of course could be your hidden agenda, considering the amount and quality of your posts. -

Which probably was the reason, why the manual drops were removed from the T4 CVs, right? Which, of course, didn't really hurt those players, who managed to even with auto-drop set up a nice hammer&anvil situation *cough* Which was skill-gap at work... but still the situation was better for the targets... mostly... usually... or so... -

Which is the reason why I reacted to this thread in my usually windowlicker-ish way: Have 8364 dubloons - mostly from rewards in game and a few from buying into the Beta or so... - and finally want to spend them on something... People here call Haida a nice DD... I like my Vampire.. have a nice captain on it... but Haida has T7 MM... naaaah... Take a look what else is available... hmm... whynot.exe Buy Leone, because people say it's kinda crap-ish with arcs of love gun arcs... sloooow reload.. only 2x2 torps... yeah, looks like my kind of DD And as there's some dubloons left... why not... a nice torpedo platform with a shipload of guns to go with it... kinda trollish... yeah, looks like my kind of DD... even though it's russian... So I also got my the Okhotnik - Gesundheit! Danke... (yeah, cheap joke, but that name sounds to me as if someone is sneezing) Just so y'all know what about to worry about soontm -

Corrected that for You. Considering the speed with which WG reacts (or usually doesn't react) on problems in the game (hint: glaciers react faster...) they problem use a pen and paper approach for their spreadshiet handling... For once I mostly agree with you Except for before the CV reeework there was at least the chance for your allied CVs to actively (!) keep the enemy CV from r*ping his allied ships by using his fighters. Yeah, skill gap etc. etc. but there still was A CHANCE to get help against the flying pests... Now CVs are only there to do damage, damage, damage... -

I think you're mixing things up here, too. Considering the choices for changes to the game done by the WG designers, marketing and people from about each and every department of WG, there can't be any of them still being playing the game. Or probably never ever played it anyway.
