    Armada: Habakkuk

Maybe You should try the April's Fool joke next time on a really unexpected date... like... 24th of December?
  2. For me - in any ship - it's: Compliment -> which forumite did I not notice in that battle? Not that I get many compliments... quite contrary...

    I hate DD divisions

I understand it as "Some DD divisions decide to play like utterly useless bollocks" which is a standpoint I can really understand. Even same clan division can f*ck up, either deliberately - "Hey, lets go through the middle on Two Brothers for the lulz.." - or because they are potatoes. Playing in a division doesn't automaticly makes you and unicorn. On the other hand, it's not only divisions abandoning flanks - it's single ships of all class, and even presumably better players do it all the time, even it leads to lost battles... humans, ey?
  4. Might be, might be.. on the other hand chances for one's smartphone getting compromised grow... as the chance to receive unwanted spam advertisement. Luckily I don't even have a smartphone... ^v^

    Broken game logic.

It might also come from the fact that DDs weren't no only the most numerous ships, but also those who probably carried out most open single ship sea operations, while BBs and cruisers mostly were either doing fleet operations or doing coast bombardments or defence against landing operations. On the other hand those carrier "battles" showed, that sending out planes to engage a battle fleet was problematic... first the target had to be spotted, then the position had to be transmitted. Then the bombers had to find that transmitted position and guesstimate where that target had gone in the transfer time. And then finally they had to find and attack it. In the end they had to pray that the found target really was an enemy ship... So, yeah, CVs were really, really, really powerful. And often erronous. And useless, when the weather was bad. And easy to take down, as having ammo and fuel on deck makes them go BOOOM when bombed themselves... and.. well, at least for the japanese the training for pilots was a bit on the problematic side later in the war... so good that some pilots only had to know how to start and not to land on a moving target...

    How about no WG?

Considering what happened to the last russian princesses only going topless would be probably preferred by her. Come on, all needed for that is a screenshot from one of the many videos and a graphic program like photoshop or gimp or something...
  7. Call me old fashioned, but I think there are situations where (too much) diversity is not beneficial. Like, the food in a restaurant doesn't get better when more dishes are put on the menu.. Likewise more game modes don't make a game better, when the basic game has flaws. Like CV and captain skill reeworks... Sooo... fix the flaws first, then bring stuff like bathtub battles or Pig Hunt into the game...
  8. Don't know... it ain't THAT bad...
  9. Exactly my thinking... ...except, I ain't got a smartphone or mobile so I couldn't give WG any number, if I would want to... So nothing important missed... as expected...

What's with the anti-cruiser focus in development?

BBs aren't the only problem... but probably are the source for many problems with cruisers and DDs. And the main reason for ALL problems is WG needing more money for vodka and females of negotiable virtue. Getting more money is more important than to have a balanced game. New players like to have OP ships and are ready to pay for them. In fact they are ready to pay for about everything, that might give them "an edge", especially when they are from the breed of "Potatogous Whalii" (Potato with very deep pockets full of shinies). Veteran players spend a lot less money in game. So they aren't that important for WG. They are only needed to make the new players spend more money. In the end, stopping to play cruisers and DDs would be the only thing to do. Or to go full CoOp... when the MM queue has 0 cruisers, 0 DDs and only BBs and CVs something might (!!!) happen.

Here's how to reduce toxicity by 500%

If we were to remove toxity by 500%, we would reach the +400% "cuddly pink unicorn land" mark, which would be unbearable for me... Maths... leanr how to use them...

...which at RTS times needed at least a little bit of skill. And as WG seemed (and still seems) to think that was too difficult for their special customers, they probably find a way to get it done with a simple mouse click...

    DD vs DD Gun Fights

@DaBung Let me translate this for You: this might be worth a discussion, but I'm too lazy to start one... so just let it stand as "I see that different..." If You go to ranked without proper skill and experience, you will end up as a liability to your team, lose battles, get reported for the team losing battles because of you and and will learn exactly zilch... one the other hand, you will be in the company of lots of other players aren't skilled enough to play ranked properly... so it's up to you. yeah, sure... T8 DDs end up in T10 battles with the most poisonous meta. T7's only get uptiered to T9, but get f*cked anyway if You don't know what you'd have to do to not get f*cked... So, sure, it's utterly stupid stay on a tier in which one can manage the gameplay and still be able to learn stuff like at T5/6. Just storm ahead into the upper tiers and be like all the other great DD players, that survive the first 3 minutes of a battle - unless getting r*aped by some CV... Hint: checking the stat pages of posters sometimes helps to evaluate the posted hints... even more details can be found at Wow Stats&Numbers

Is this the worst state of the game ever?

Doesn't take Unicorns to achieve that... even slightly better than (presumed 50%) average players are enough to do it.

Is this the worst state of the game ever?

And I can assure you, that mediocre players like me complain all the time, too. At least I do... ^v^ Even I'm not that successful and up on the losing side at least 50% of the time I can only agree with you. It's not about losing or winning, but about the HOW the losses/wins happen. The amount of really fun and challenging battles I had in the last time was minuscule compared to roflstomps due to braindead potatoes on the own or opposing team. Funnily enough it's usually potatoes only on ONE team, while the other manages to play like as if at least 50% of their braincells were still fully functional... And CoOp is only bearable for doing missions as fast as possible... and then there's still situations were people manage to play so horribly that even I can't secure the win... hence my only 99.25% CoOp winrate...

    Do I care?

Define "Violence"... Define "Unpopular"... When living in a democratic country, laws are supposed to be made "by the majority of people" or rather by their representives for they voted. So opinions that are in conflict with the laws aren't just "unpopular" but criminal or at least unlawful. Voicing such opinions therefor is a criminal act or can at least be such. What is just an "unpopular opinion" for one can be a violation of personal rights, mental health or even lifethreatening (like in the case of cybermobbing) to others. Societies work on the basis of social behaviour. Unsocial behaviour does not deserve to be protected by the society and it's laws. Phrases like "it was just a joke" or "one should be able to say this" don't change that.

Is this the worst state of the game ever?

You're writing about the same people who brought us the splendig "CV Reeeework" and the implementation with "NoBrain and DeadEye CaptainSkillReeework" and really manage to think they bother about people quitting? WG's business motto is "f*ck veterans, as long as we get lots of paying new players".

    Do I care?

Funny then, that You have to add another one, right? Luckily I'm able to just churn out a couple more words to dodge that bullet... Opinions sometimes lead to actions. Some opinions might lead to quite ugly actions. So if some opinions are voiced with the clear intend that they either are supposed to lead to such actions or it is made clear that the person voicing them intends to act upon them in such a way, I'd be very glad about this "go to jail - don't pass go" option.

    DD vs DD Gun Fights

@Verblonde and @Saltface gave good advise already, but I add my personal modus operandi: if I end up on a flank were I face a better enemy DD, the attention of the enemy CV and maybe even radar ships, it depends heavily upon what my teammates on that flank do if I spot enemy ships. If they the radar cruiser or DD, but go blasting salvos only the enemy BBs, I kindly tell them that I won't waste my ship supporting them and then sail to greener shores (and either targets...). Trying to support a bunch of braindead potatoes will in the end only lead to one thing: me getting sunk and a lost flank as they start to run as soon as there's nobody left to spot for them.

    Interesting game

Fitting thread title then, as we got a saying here in germany that says "interesting is the little sister of sh*t"

    Min 500 experience points or....

This must be the worst case of unjustified age shaming I've had to witness ever! And it is obviously ox feces, as being older offers the advantage of experience... with computers... with other computer games... with tactical/strategic games of different types... of basic game mechanics... Im rather of the opposite opinion: it's the "let my smartphone do the thinking, as it is smarter than me anyway" generation that proves as way more learn resistent then the baby boomers playing here. 60 years old and computer gamer since the early '80s...

    DD vs DD Gun Fights

I'm only an average DD player, so I won't offer any knowledge or discuss any of the posts above, except that it might sometimes be of help to train DD/DD combat in CoOp... yes, those bots are on the more stupid side. But they are relentless... and they will allow you to train your "knife fighting" moves. Like when to switch out of the periscope view when shooting and suchlike...
