Bots should copy the abilities of human players. They should act on the same intelligence that is available to players, including radar, hydro and whatever, including spotter planes. On the other hand they should not be able to get that "cheating intelligence" that is awarded to them by bad and/or lazy programmers. And of course this would mean to have the chance to meet the rare Unicorn bot, a couple "average" (~50% wr skill) bots and the majority that would reflect the usual potatoes one gets as teammates... Even I don't have a 100% CoOp winrate... only a measly 99.25% (over 3471 battles) which means that I lose (in average) 7.5 of 1,000 battles. So ~25 battles in my "career" in CoOp.. And I'm only a 54% random battle winrate player. So far from being a unicorn... so expect the real Unicorn players to be even closer to the 100% CoOp winrate than I am... So... Yeah, there's a lot space for enhancing the bot skills... I would rather have more skilled bots for some more engaging gaming experience, even if that would mean that personal CoOp winrate would decline to the random battle level...

You should play french BBs at least to the T6 Normandie... lots of lulz can be had with that ship...

Just unlocked Dutch CL C"Celebes." What a PoG

The captain is of no consequence, as I wrote before... it's rather the amount of potatoes that suicide within the first 5 minutes of the battle - like in the last three battles - and leave yours truly to fight a uphill battle - on the water, ha ha ha... - while BaBBies run away to... well... do BaBBy things?!? So winrate is down, but PR, damage and kills are still okay-ish. Still not a bad ship... -

Why should I do that, when I'm utterly satisfied with a 3 pts captain? My post was rather about the captain's skills not playing a vital role on the basic performance of many ships. -
Fish&Ships... from a foodtruck... or however those trucks with a slimy kitchen were called... or at a small F&S shop at Luton... So... it's not all bad... the bread though... yeah... probably one reason why so many brit soldiers who were stationed in germany and got used to real bread chose to marry a nice german girl and stayed in germany... Of course I was... And I'd rather not think of what You intend with that Bratwurst... except eating it of course... (PG-7 right.. )

So, where's the problem? I mean, it's still humans (with a theoretical great strategical ability) against 9 kinda lazily programmed bots... so three kills for each of you... which sounds quite doable to me...

doesn't need a troll to make BB mains look bad... they are able to achieve that all by themselves, regularly.

I loved Silent Hunter, too... but there was one thing working in it's favour: it hadn't to bother about multiple players on different teams. You had subs and their targets, and the only thread that subs faced was bots... yes, better bots than the ones that WG manages to "program", but bots nonetheless... So no, never ever I expected WG come up with a working submarine warfare concept... and yet I don't expect to be surprised. -
Beer Boorbies... nothing more to be said... or maybe one thing: Some females would probably want to work beer on them, too... So... if I would chocolate coat my wiener, would that lead to an enrichment of my marriage life? There's also the Rowan Atkinson sketch with him as the owner/waiter in an indian restaurant in britain, taking the orders from a bunch of drunk football fans. It doesn't tell less about food, but more about humor, though.. And from a german: to enjoy english food one needs to have gained an educated taste... won't help for the "fry everything, even chocolate bars" scotch cuisine or the "potatoes, potatoes everywhere... and cabbage" irish dishes. Not sure about welsh kitchen though... but if the welsh rabbit is an indicator, no education will help I fear.

Sooo... when being the only player on a team with an above 53% winrate and seeing the average team winrate being at ~45% - which happens quite a lot recently - how can a 45% WR division make the situation any worse?
-
Proper positioning helps a lot. And knowing which routes bots usually take on the different maps. And getting the average CoOp players, who really want to discuss tactics when the battle starts...
-
*cough* You've got a 97.81% winrate over 502 battles... Seems at least sometimes bots prove to be difficult for you. Not the only time it seems... 98.26% winrate over 518 battles... So, from the mountain peak of 99.25% CoOp winrate over 3446 battles I assure you, you're only slightly above potato level in CoOp it seems... And from the same perspective I would vote for a quite better bots, except for the cheating of clairvoyance. I know, bot programmers in all tactical or strategic games use cheats to enhance the skills of their bots. Faster production, lesser production costs etc in games where units are produced... or map knowledge and position knowledge above what would normally be visible to the bot... With more skill - better shooting and better usage of consumables - and less clairvoyance the "better bots" might not be too deadly for the whales and might start to become a thread to better players. As it is now, if one has learned the "usual behaviour patterns" of the bots, one can literally sail circles around them (often... not always...) and slowly wither them away until the torpedoes have reloaded... in a Tirpitz... been there, done that... often.

So in the the OP could do himself and other players a favour by not playing in divisions, right?

Well, I only have that 3 pt captain on it that came with it... so I don't know if "correct skills" make a difference here?!? Still the decline goes on... -
Might be... but the 10 division battles I did mightily enhanced my winrate... In the case of the OP it might be a hard price he has to play to "have fun in a division"?!?
-
Maybe he should just call it "BBC" then?
-
This calls for some stat shaming (of the OP of course...) 3130 battles - 42.88% winrate... 2577 battles solo - 44.97% winrate (uhm... what?) 256 battles in 2 man div - 36.72% winrate (waitasec...whaaaat?) 297 battles in 3 man div - 29.97% winrate (is that even allowed????) 405 battles in CoOp - 98.02% winrate (which is, basically, potato level in CoOp, right?) So... a player with utterly no map awareness and probably no knowledge about specials that the game might throw at him - like hybrids and whatnots - manages to play better solo than in two or three player divisions? Wow... Or rather... WoWs...

Seems I have to change my starting phrase when taking my Panasian ships for a ride, as I usually refer to my Golden Rooster (Flag) swaying happily in the winds... while I of course use the other word for rooster... and from now on will use the other word for happily... Would also be interesting to know if I would be allowed to insult people from poland, with my ancestors having been coming from quite close to the russian border in the 1870's (or so) making me partial pole (not sure if north or south..) anyway. And as I was being born a german I could insult in both directions, I guess?!?

I'm effing glad that all these... extremely historically... camos can be de-activated, so my eyes won't start burning whenever one of those... historically founded... ships enters my fov. -

Sorry, I don't do streams... I'm too Murtaugh for that... And really, stuff muttered by WG officials over the web? That's like to listen to a bunch of hole earthers or flat earthers... Soo... I take that as "no tadl;dl" Then guess I'd rather do without it, just to keep my ears from starting to bleed... Considering it's WG that it's about, I don't think anyone needs F. to point out WG's mastership in that department... -

Considering he has about the most annoying voice possible, is there a chance to get a "tatl;dl" (too annoying to listen; didn't listen") summary? -

Wait.. what? What do they write in the DevBlock? "Adjusted detectability range by air, by other submarines, and when emitting a sonar ping in smoke: Cachalot: By air and submarines: from 2.6 to 2.4 km; When emitting a sonar ping in smoke: from 2.3 to 2.4 km " So a sub underwater (!) will be less visible when pinging from above water smoke?!?!? What comes next? Radar, Hydro and Submarine "Pings" working through islands? Oh.. wait... two out of three already do that... -
These are the kind of infos that not really help in building trust in the abilities of WGs "coding" department... Not able to manage to program a replay viewer? Wow..
