    I did two more sub battles today... one T6 and one T8 (because that's the subs I got today on my main account - yay!) and my modus operandi is: sail full speed toward the enemy (I got enough CoOp battles to know where the bots will appear) when spotting some bots wait for them getting into range... dive to periscope depth, ping once, launch torps, ping again... check how long the ping run, refresh when needed... see the torps angle nicely into the target to hit citadels... see boom... at least when the target is a cruiser. DDs aren't that easy, but for those we have our allied DDs... still... boring and breaking the meta..

    Got the T6 subs on my alt account - only coal for my main... - and did a couple battles... well... nah... skirmishes... whatever... in them. Used them as weird DDs without smoke but the tendency to go below the waves... Ignored all enemy subs... with the german one I one-shot a Fiji (might taken some other damage, didn't notice any though) by sticking 4 torps into it from right in front of it (at 5km range... managed to double ping it... one ping before, the second after the launch... citadels happen...) while being at periscope depth... got some 50 and 60k damage battles... was bored as f*ck... As we (me and others = we) mentioned before: in a proper special game mode (aka missions...) with not totally retarded bots (= not the ones that now are used in CoOp) submarines might (!!!) be fun to play... hunting freighters and having to dodge DDs and Cruisers... stuff like that... stuff like how submarines are played in submarine simulation games... Silent Hunter etc. In CoOp? Booooooring... In Randoms? Terrible for the meta... and still boooooring... Nice to see btw. that the submarines battles one does during this... testing... don't make it into the official stats. If I was one of those tin foil hat types I'd say that WG don't want the public to get too much stats about their newest playthings... not that one could work out what spreadshiet would say about them...

    fixed that for you Being polite and STAYING polite would be a lot easier, if their would be some feedback. Getting some "We hear your complains/ideas and here's what we think about them/what we think can do about them/why we can't follow them" would sometimes be helpful. A "spreadshiet tells us more than all the players' postings" isn't polite either and is one of the main reasons for impolite player reactions. In short: being ignored and then get fed with the result of brainfarts by officials with the communication skills of a soviet union mentality politician - see what LittleWhiteMouse had to go through - is not helpful either.

    This would result in ASW being probably useful against WGs new favourite class and so it will not happen until subs have been implemented in all game modes and - more important - many premium subs have been sold... only THEN there will be some reeework adjustments done to ASWs...

Usually my wife says I'm the one full of useless knowledge, but with this post you managed to show me my limits... I mean, I did know that this weird thing exists, but being to remember how it looks like... WoW... I mean, really, wow!

    I'd rather have a more realistic approach... like... Subs being blind under water, except when looking through the perisope or - god beware - when using a sonar ping to "light up" their surroundings for a couple seconds and until they ping again... Many people can't even see WOWS with submarines working... except when... THIS!

    Neither are CVs... still both classes are horrible for the meta. Both produce more camping because bad players are living in fear of these "operpowered classes" and no facts will get into their way to hug the next island-waifu...
  10. & Coddling is desperately needed, as it's probably the former CV players, who "abandoned (CV) ship" after the "rocket nerf" (aka "implementation of a marginal skill barrier") and are now hopping on the next OP (by coddling) class...

    Well, "being confident to introduce them successfully" as an answer to Your question literally means: "We are confident to introduce them successfully, and damn the torpedoes and eff all problems that might arise, as we just don't give a flying eff about any balancing problems..."
  15. Sooo... when I logged into the game today I was asked if would be ready to answer a questionaire about WG. It was supposed to take only a couple minutes... so I though, yeah, the f*ck yeah, lets tell them what I think about the game.. so I clicked the link and the first question came up: How much are you inclined to recoomend WoWs to friends or co-workers (on a scale from 0 (worst) to 10 (best)) Well... Considering that none of my friends or relative has or would have the slightest interest in a MMOG (due to age or no inclination to play any computer games) AND because I'm no longer a member of the workforce (meaning: no co-workers) AND because at the current state the game isn't really something I would recommend to ANYONE.... Click "0" "Thanks for taking part og this questionaire" No further questions came up. I felt a little bit... uhm... well, validated in my thought that this whole BS was only made to learn from the players new ways how to come up with a new pyramide trade scheme to to make more money...

    Yeah, the "standard" survey (if one is inclined to call it such) that regularly comes up after a battle is one of these one sentence "surveys" - how satisfied are you with that last battle - and especially shows that WG is NOT interested in the WHY one answered "I'm effing unhappy". From personal experience - as once it was part of my job - I guess this helps in adjusting statistics (like by deciding which time span of the survey to chose, to get the wanted/needed result). And of course I didn't think of it as a conspirancy against me. It's just a(nother) utterly useless survey...

  18. Come on, @MementoMori_6030, you can let them all know that you dare to sail the seas in an Okhotnik sometimes... And that the only reason for You not yolo-ing your way out of that CV infused battle was me greeting from the enemy team (in my Perth... which's captain I just had skilled, showing how long I hadn't played that ship...) And that it was me, who ended on the winning side (HAH!), even though I failed to sink You () but at least managed to stick some shells into that Okho.... before someone else finished You off () BTW this was MY Okhotnik battle result today... U jelly?

Of course potatoes that fail all other classes - since the rocket nerf that even includes CVs - in the hope to that they for once get THE OP class in which they can succeed to breach the 45% winrate barrier... And of course they will as always have their eyes glued to the periecope view and ignore all of their surrounding, especially allied ships... so to make subs less than a nuisance as they are by being just in the game, WG HAD to tackle the problem of the supposed to be new cashcow being an underwater version of the Kitakami in their own, brainless way: remove allied damage...

  24. And even if it isn't fun that much, one can still find special niches in which one can have, if not by playing, but by making others suffer... Be it dragging an enemy sub or CV into CoOp battles by playing one oneself, or by restricting oneself to <T4 only to club the occational seal... Fun is what YOU make fun...

    T6 would be okay... would mean that T4 will still only get gangr*ped by CVs, but at least ONLY by CVs... And frustrating teammembers by bringing a sub to CoOp at T6 sounds also fun...
