Haven't read all the thread, but has someone told the OP that Kamikaze, Kamikaze R and Fujin never have been "silver" ships but always were kinda premium-ish with other means than buying them to get them?

Also für mich wurde gerade die Mission zum Prüfstein... da klappte immer irgendwas nicht. Lag zum Beispiel daran, daß ich in gut 30% der Gefechte gar keinen DD auf Gegnerseite hatte. Und in den meisten anderen vielleicht gerade mal einen... Und als ich dann mal tatsächlich in einem Gefecht einen DD erwischt habe, brachte ich nur 1732 Exp in die Wertung... Aber so nach 20 Gefechten hat auch die Mission geklappt...

Nur weil Du mit Deiner bisherigen Spielweise Erfolg hattest, bedeutet das nicht, daß sie auch die richtige war. Aufgrund der enormen Wartezeiten im MM habe ich seit dem Patch nur wenig BBs gespielt, und wenn, dann aufgrund der "Englischen Woche" gern auch mal die der RN, aber als so richtig "problematisch" habe ich die RN BBs bisher nicht wahrgenommen. Im Gegenteil... oftmals sind sie durchaus eher Opfer, was aber natürlich auch an den ganzen Freizeitkapitänen liegt, die ohne jegliche Ahnung gleich erstmal in ihre frisch erworbenen T3, T4 und T5 BBs steigen und sich dann unbesiegbar fühlen, bis ihnen DDs, Kreuzer (ja, auch die können das...) und andere BBs ihre Grenzen aufzeigen... Ein besonderer Spaß ist es für mich, mit der guten alten Warspite gegen die anderen "neuen" RN BBs vorzugehen... Auf AP der Warspite reagieren sie nämlich i.d.R. sehr allergisch.

Patchday was great... sinking potato BBs left and right with my IJN DDs and other ships and having lots of fun... 60% winrate and nice stats.. Then friday hit me hard... tried many ships I'm usually good and succesfull in. And nothing worked.... potatos all around me... and in the end, I played like a potato myself. Winrate below 15% and even in battles where I did extreme damage, it was not enough to carry the teams... When saturday came, everything was back to normal - potato weekends - again. Sometimes I was able to carry, sometimes I was carried and sometimes I just lost.. 56% winrate again.. Sunday was a bit worse, but nothing out of the normal for weekend... So yeah, it was a bit weird...

You mean like your "weekend tester"? So you're only allowed to play on the weekends, right?

Those dragonheads were removable btw. to show when sailing into harbour, that the ship did not come with the intention to attack. And of course they were some kind of advertisement... in two ways they showed that the owner of the ship - who had paid for it - was effing rich, as such detailed woodwork needed an expert carver who spent a lot of time carving it they showed the skill of the artist who did the woodwork and made him famous and a sought out worker when building other ships

You all misunderstand WG's real intention... British BBs are the Potato Trap Solution to BB oversaturation... It works like this: WG releases a class, that looks extremely OP at first, because of noob-friendly hard hitting HE WG also gives the british BBs lackluster armour, that will be used to their advantage by any skilled player in whatever ship they play Noobs only see the HE potential and think that big bad BBs can survive everything, because Big Booms tm So noobs will flock to RN BBs just to get slaughtered like the potatos they are So in the end, there might be still way too many BBs in the MM, but they will be even more noobish than now and get easily slaughtered... all other classes rejoice... Serious though... can't say that the RN BBs look to me more dangerous than any other BB when I play my DDs, Cruisers or other BBs... Stick some torpedoes in and they sink... put flames on them and they burn... and potatos repair the first fire, so you just set them aflame again. Or stick some nasty AP in their sides, which they so freely offer because they want to broadside their enemies because "use all guns..."

Yesterday and today I tried to do the next to last "China Syndrom" (or whatever it was called..) mission... the one where You have to sink a DD and get 1750 exp and survive (and win?) the game in a T6 ship. I played a TON of battles... either I didn't sink a DD... or I didn't survive... or didn't get the 1750 base exp.. or didn't even have enemy DDs in the battle... In my trusty Bismarck (in a T10 battle, of course...) I managed the win...and survived... and sank a Shimakaze (with my secondaries...) and got 1732 Exp... 1.. 7.. 3.. 2.. Exp But then, when I was nearly ready to give up... in my Belfast, I got in a battle as high tier, with a couple Iron Dukes and stuff in the enenmy team... and a DD. In the end I had managed five kills and 95k damage... and a discussion about the Belfast being OP and that I should rather use skill and play a T10 battle which made me laugh... And yes...I got 1750 exp... in fact, I got a bit more than 2k exp.. and the next to last ship I sank was the DD. Barely... miliseconds before a salvo from another cruiser would have hit it. I'm done with that stupid mission... Hurray!

Yes, the russian harbour defense installations a.k.a. Battleships will probably come somewhen. Even though any time will be too soon, as we don't really need another complete lineup of "no russian bias" ships imnsho. There would be so many possible lines of existing ships from other nations, which even did some real fighting, instead of just sitting in the harbour, with the sailors being put into the landforces... Of course, there probably are thousands of russian players who just wait to play these blueprints and harbour installations... everybody knows that they are flocking to play the russian DDs and cruisers above all other ships on the RU server...

And here I am, thinking that even the russian players don't really like the russian blueprint ships and prefer to play existing, historical ships... Oh... and right now it seems the 5 BB "limit" has fallen... had quite a few battles today with 6 BBs per side... Brave new world, isn't it?

My greatest achievement today: Not throwing my keyboard at the next wall after getting potato teams in a dozen battles and somehow sinking to potato level myself losing 10 of 12 games (or so...)

Today was a terrible day for me. I played like and idiot all day long and the teams I was in decided to follow my example or even exceed my lack of ability... On the other hand, for the first time I met quite a few people in these horrible battles. In my Kamikaze R I met @MUHLINEGGS, who was out clubbing baBByseals in a Fujin. He did good... I suc**d hard... In my Belfast - which somehow doesn't manage to become one of my favourite ships - I met @xXx_Blogis_xXx in a Queen Elisabeth. Even though I had a good start, I managed to su** again, but my team suc**d even harder. Although there were two (!) afk ships on the enemy team, we managed to lose the battle. At least I managed to fire some annoying shots at @xXx_Blogis_xXx before I got gangr***d.. After being endlessly frustrated by losses in about all DDs and Cruisers I had tried out today, I switched to my Warspite. And this time it seemed there was a light at the end of the tunnel. On my team were @lameoll in a Yorck and @Reaper_JackGBR in a Colorado (and another player from SNUBS) so chances for a win seemed good. It was a domination game, and while 90% of the team decided to go upward the left flank, I decided to at least try to keep the enemy from getting to our starting cap unmolested. Good for me was, that two DDs decided to stay close to me. It was bad for the team though, that got heavily shot up without that DD support. I managed to stay alive a while and hold back the enemy a bit, doing some 70k-ish damage before I went down. @lameoll managed to stay alive even longer, while running on his last 1000 (or less) k hp. But in the end the game was lost... I ended as #2 in the rating, @Reaper_JackGBR was #4 and @lameoll came in as #10... none of us were happy.. I played another game in the Warspite after that. Managed to get 74k damage done in a T8 battle, survived and got a couple kills and a win... met no-one in that battle, though...

For me, it's just to show the number of total enemies sunk. Without that data about WHAT ship has been sunk, it is not very usefull. But adding that data would be too much information.. so a short press on the tab key solves the need to get info about who has been sunk already.

Nero was a victim of bad press, as new historical studies show. He wasn't responsible for that fire. He wasn't even in Rome when it started. That Peter Ustinov as Nero, playing a Lyra scene it total bollocks. In fact, after the fire, Nero reformed the fire protection in Rome, to make sure that something like that would never happen again.

Please give us a way to change the opacity of the background for the chat area! There are way too many occasions, when that green text isn't readable at all on a blueishgreen background. Allow us, to either use a coulour for text that can be read better OR to change the opacity of the background for the chatbox, so that green text is better visible.

For me, those deadish ships have black icons... not "Dark Grey" and when I want to know exactly what enemy ships are already dead, I just use the TAB key and see a full list of both teams... and I can easily see which ones are sunk already.

Torpedos do a very good job, too. Just use enough of them...

It's always funny to see those "single class players" who almost exclusively play BBs cry when there are long queues... I checked twice today, if it was possible to enter a battle in a BB. With Prince Albert and Itchy Suzy. Waited 1:30 minutes and left the queue. Tried DD/Cruiser instead and had instant battles... and loads of sunk british (and other...) BaBBies. I guess it must really be a pita to wait five minutes in the queue, then enter a battle and get sunk after 5 minutes ny a spread of torpedos - and then having to wait 15 minutes to enter the next 5 minute queue for another 5 minute battle... hedgehog day, anyone? Effing play something else than BBs!

Playing DDs all day long I haven't been set on fire by a RN BB at all... And considering that You are an effing Unicorn in most of Your BBs, I would call the stats above "small sample size". Let's wait a couple of days and see how the rest of the community fares with the British HE Sluggers... As they say in Game of Thrones: Weekend is coming! And the weekend will bring the usual flood of potatoes... who all will jump into their shiny new RN BBs just to get clubbed as the cute little babyseals they are.

So... how would RN BBs do with IFHE (or whatever it is called)? Lolpens with HE on most cruisers?

I'm always too lazy for screenshots.. but on wow Stats & Numbers one could check my claims: 117k Damage and a Kraken in my T3 Campbeltown - all of them were tasty babyseals... And in total it was a good day for IJN DDs. Played some...16 battles in them - mostly in Kamikaze R - and won the majority. Kamikaze came out after twelve battles with 83% winrate, 2 kills per game and and average damage of 65k. Mostly seals, but not exclusively, as some poor DDs and cruisers tried to hinder my crusade against the Flood Of BaBBies, so they had to pay the price... I guess, the weekend will bring us even more baBByseals to slaughter... can't wait for it

While I valiantly tried to stop the flood of RN BBs in my trusty Kamikaze R (and a few other DDs...) I met @Tellsson who was masochistic enough to command an Iron Duke. I had the personal honour to sink him, which didn't keep him from ending in the #1 slot - of the losing team... I only managed #5 of the winning team, but, as they say, a win is a win is a win... and sinking a Forumista is always a great pleasure
