Congoratz! If I count the 1200+ battles from Beta, I'm over 10k already, too... if not it will take a couple weeks/months depending on motivation...

Battle of the River Plate - wot no RN Cruisers?
Deckeru_Maiku replied to invicta2012's topic in General Discussion
at least it's not a sub, so it looks different than... what we all think of now. -
Against BBs MoO is great at: setting them aflame, making them use repair team so your friendly DD from the neighbourhood can stick some torps in them and flood them to hell and back... while they are burning again after your second salvo... strip them BBs of any AA they have. Which usually isn't much to start with at T3/4/5, so that Yur friendly CV from the neighbourhood can stick some torps in them... see above... take out some secondary guns... every little bit helps. Against DDs the MoO is great at: blasting them to hell with a single HE salvo if they are stupid enough to get too close. It works, believe me... did it many, many times already... keep your cool, remember to look for torps and wait for the DD to sail parallel so spread out shells have a wee bit larger target. 1 in 3 goes instant Boom! get them burning. No DDs likes it to burn, as it ruins his invisibility skills... And the best thing when MoO fires at Cruisers is the number of little icons popping up after each salvo... Fire, AA gone, Steering gone, maybe a main gun and the rudder and.. and.. and.. Even if You don't citadel them with HE you can manage to cripple a cruiser with a single salvo. So right now forget about Prince Albert, Itchy Suzie or the Nikolai... the MoO is the Sealclubbers Club of Choice right now...

Festive Cheer Prize Draw #2 - Try Your Luck!

I can assure You, You won't win anything... -
yeppers... it's a bit like with the american prohibition: it not only didn't serve it's goal, it made things worse... people still were drinking as much alcohol as ever and mobsters made their fortunes from smuggling and the crime rate went sky-high. Nothing against "political correctness". But in some cases it's just carried too far. If one might get penalized for calling a martian green that will lead to people being just more predjudiced against martians, because, "hey, why are they treated special and protected by the law and I ain't?" Yes, there's a lot of stuff that's worth being punished. Hate speech and everything related to human rights. But way too many folks today play the "hatred card". If I don't like monagamous living heterosexuals and don't want to have any of them weirdoes working in my company, I wouln't want to be pressured into doing so by a law. It's MY company and if I would have to go with persons whose strange habits don't conform to mine, that wouldn't do for a good work climate. On the other hand going onto the soap box in the middle of the town and saying that all monogamous living heterosexuals should be send into gulags or even better be shot or going out with my trusty automatic rifle to rid the world of some of them personally should be punished with all force the law can offer and then some more. Political correctness nowadays is just so effing overused...

Collection of ultimate bad battles
Deckeru_Maiku replied to Blechhaube's topic in General Discussion
Easy solution: play less T10 Playing at the "low" tiers (4 to 7 or so...) is way less frustrating, as the potatoes don't potate so much as they do at T10. At T10 two potatoes potating can ruin Your battle. And there always are at least two potatoes at T10 - usually the guys in the Top Tier BBs... On low tiers those two potatoes, even when in the top tier BBs, can easily be replaces by just playing a bit better.. The only really tough part is, when You get one of those "10 out of 12 are potatoes" battles, that make my winrate swing between 10 and 100% from one day to the next... -
I bet... the english side of Yours fighting with the french... the french with the austrian... and the dutch side leaning back and smoking stuff sold in a "coffee shop" saying "relax, dudes..."

Well, two BBs with unreliable guns are twice as frustrating, unless they are on the other team... -
Well deserved then... banned for being a traitor

She can be seen from the moon because she shines so bright...

Yeah, Itchy Suzy isn't that bad - got one myself and love her - but when I meet one when I'm in the MoO it's time for the AP to punch some nice holes into Suzy, as she is a bit squishy... And if she shoots HE at the MoO... well, MoO can repair some HE damage... On T4 there's not one BB I'd really fear with the MoO. And even on T5 there's not soo many...
-
You don't want to play against Conquerors? Here's the easy solution... Play T4 Get burned to ashes by HE or get penetrated real hard by AP shot at You from the Monster of Orion (MoO) ? Winrar!
-
out of likes, so it's a +1 for You too, sir.
-
Yubari isn't that bad, even when both uses of the consumable have been used already
-
Buy Crispy Creme... uhm... Crusty Chrome... no, wait... Krasny Krym have 25% longer torp range = 5 km ? winrar! And added to the greatly enlarged torpedo range You also gain the ability to hit the moon while shooting You guns at long range targets, just like the Spamlanta!!1111eleveneleven!

soon to be the fiftywhateverest state of the USofA But hey, they deserve it... really...

I really love these discussions about "average skill" and "average ratings" and "average players" For me it is quite obvious. I think of myself as an average player. With a 55% (or so) winrate and a "rating" I can't be bothered to care about, as it usually doesn't take important parts of gameplay into account. And it's also obvious to me, that the so-called "average player" has usually a beyong average skill, lower than average damage rating and lower "rating" (be it WoWs or any stat side rating). Or to say it different: The "average player" is a potato.

Ain't got no +1 any more today, so you get it this way: +1

Depends on Map/Mode... But usually I'd try to play The Bismarck to her advantage: Stay back a couple minutes, than go for the cap/flank that seems to have fewer enemy ships and try to break through, doing as much damage as possible and maybe even take something down with me... Works quite often for me... In Your example I wouldn't expect much and just try to do my worst to annoy the enemy as much as possible + = or

Lots of Holiday Love to Y'all for starting the raffle! I'm in and here's my wishlist: @lup3s #1 Ship = Huang He (if it's still in the shop... if not: Kaga) #2 Ship = Huang He (if it's still the shop... if not: Anshan) #3 Dubloons for me @Major_Damage225 Huang He (if it's still the shop... if not: Anshan) Thanks to all three of You, if I meet You in game I'll send some exploding wishes Your way...

I have to say, I am quite glad for anyone not doing the tedious job to get this DD. Even better if they all play PADDs instead. Why? Well, it's always nice to have an advantage others don't want to have...

Prejudice against a religion (any of them...) isn't "racism". Religion != race. Doesn't make it any better though, just wanted You to get the terms right.

balance Nerf Royal Navy High Explosive
Deckeru_Maiku replied to TheNamelessLegend's topic in General Discussion
Well, not really RN, but close enough: Vampire - got her today, oh my, what a nice little toy to club some seals... - has way too powerfull HE. Four battles, four wins, 35k damage average and sunk a total of 10 ships (mostly those poor PADDs, who eagerly try to sink me with their torps...) OP! OP I say! Nerf that ship or at least that HE!- 51 replies

If (!!!) someone would apologize, I'd heal/repair. But I can't even remember the last time someone really apologized for doing team damage. Torps... well, that's a different cup of tea. Torp flooding coming from second row launches I will never (!) repair, as there is no real way for doing them "by mistake". Those always happen because the guy launching the torps is a potatoe... So it's more a situational thingy...
