Asashio. Yet a new Destroyer :)

At least I don't even have to think about buying it, as it is T8 and I do not buy ships at that tier, due to them being overprized in my opinion... Add to that, that it is just a lousy remake of a silver ship in game... naahh, thanks, but no thanks...
  2. Ah, sorry... forgive an old man his failing whatsitcalled... memory... didn't recall Your name and only afterwards noticed, there must have been some other forumite in the battle, due to receiving +1 twice... I had hoped to get You (the Fiji) before I met my demise in that game, but failed... And I'll try to make up for that lack of Karma next time we meet And yes, at first it looked just like the typical weekend battle, but in the end our camping BBs suddenly changed into the Lion from Oz and found a heart... and with that our Fiji and Tom managed to grasp the win..

    Nerf the Conqueror ...

Oh? Stats check? Cool... yes, mine are mediocre... Now Yours... oh? 222 solo battles... Winrate impressive 66% but... uhm... 0 battles in DDs - m'kay... 15 battles in cruisers with Tenryu and St. Lucifer being the top tiers - m'kay... 175 battles total in CVs between T4 and T7 - yeah, sealclubbing... and then 31 battles in BB up to - tadumm-tsssss - T4 Let me guess.. the stats of your "original account" weren't impressive enough, right? So... nah, if "improving" would mean that I'd have to start another account to get pinky stats to prove my "skill" so I could behave like an donkey like other "skilled players" I don't need any of that, thank you.

    Strange torpedo damage

Video could even be a bit funnier... if the DD in the front would just be a little bit faster, the torpedoes might pass below it, as the stern of some DDs is raised a bit (for IJN DDs Minekaze/Kamikaze I'm sure of that) and torpedoes can go right through between the ship's bottom and the thingy on which's end the ship's propellor is (the skeg?) and the rudder. From the outside it looks, as if the torps should hit the ship... now imagine all ten torps just optically hitting the target, but no explosion and all just travelling on... The most torp hits I survived in my Minekaze was three btw. with two doing 0 damage.. long, long ago... normaly it's one and boom! Is it one of those that managed to get back to harbour on it's own?

    Strange torpedo damage

The most funny thing about that gif is, that there is no part of the ship left to take damage to the stern, but IT STILL CAN MOVE AND STEER FULLY UNHINDERED!!!111eleven!

    Why even bother?

Just don't... Enjoy this game as an action game played by you and 23 more or less good programmed bots. Sometimes you might get the good ones, programmed by skilled programmers... sometimes you get the ones put together by hackerkiddies with virus building sets...

    Nerf the Conqueror ...

Wow... and here's me with nearly 10k battles done and noticing no sign of skill in this game whatsoever...
  8. Damn strange it is, but the only name I recognised during battles lately was @TomBombadil in his Shiratsuyu (Random Battle, same team, no Division involved), which, of course, lead to both of us complaining about too many SCRUBs/5CRUBs being around... I tried to hold the left flank in my Perth with limited success - ~70k damage but no sinkers - while @TomBombadil held the right flank alone - or mostly alone - against 3 to 5 enemy ships, faring a bit better than me. In the end it was a win and we got the #1 (Tom) and #4 (me) spot in the battle results.

    Smoke Gameplay

At first when reading the OP's OP I was like: Yeah, BaBBy again... But after today sitting in smoke with my FUbuki, having about 75k damage done by sending out torps and spitting fire (= HE) at three (!!!) enemy BBs, which all decided not using the cooldown of my torps to push was a good idea, especially while they kinda drove circles still within 10km of me ( ) I can understand OP a bit... yeah, smoke is really, really, REALLY nasty. You can't look into it... and those bad, bad, BAD DDs that can lauch up to 6 or 9 or whatever torps in your general direction can hide in it. So yes, please, give players like the OP the chance to play in a DD, Cruiser and CV free surrounding by allowing BBs to chose "BB Battles Only" where all those players too frightened by those nasty smoke using monsters can play peek-a-boo behind islands, having to fear nothing than their fellow BaBBies...

    Strange torpedo damage

damn... I read that as "52k torpedo damage" first and thought that one BB I managed to sink with one (1 !!!) torpedo today doing 52k damage with it would be whining in the forum about it. But as it is: yeah, oversaturation.... or aliens!

    destroyed

Well, it usually helps not to launch them, if some allied potato MIGHT get into their way. So like... not launching them, when there are ships somewhere between you and the target, even though they aren't directly between you and the target yet. And those "warnings in chat"... I have to admit, I don't give a flying eff about the chat, because 90% of what is written there is utter ox feces. Usually BaBBies telling DDs where to go, so they can keep hiding behind their islands... and cruisers complaining about BaBBies hiding behind islands... and sunk DDs complaining about no support, when they were capping the important caps, and not the ones the BBs wanted... so no real vital information to be found in the chat. I play a lot of DD btw. and sunk my share of allies with my torps. At least three or five or so... and in each and every case it was MY fault. My fault for either using my torps in a too risky manner or by overestimating the intelligence and map awareness of my allied potatoes. I apologised and was done with it.

that... that... no it can't... I mean... really? "Bastion of Skill"??? In WoWs????? That must be irony or sarcasm or whatever, right? Right?!?!

    destroyed

if stuff like that happens often to you ( the need to warn people because ofyour torps going their way...) you might want to reconsider the way you use those torps. Such warnings should not be needed if you would use torps as they are supposed to be.

This is getting [edited] old WG

Seems You missed the point about Mensch ärgere Dich nicht! Goal of the game is to get one's small figures into a safe home, while all others try to get the dice-roll to kick them out of the game (until they can re-enter...) so losing the game on a dice roll is the concept of this game, which is to be played by up to four persons... Teaches you a lot about luck being a [edited] and losing (a game) due to some unlucky dice rolls being the normal thing in life and not something that only happens to you. And in some way I'm probably as competitive as all of those saying detonations are bad... it's just that I'm way more bothered by having to play with potatoes all the time, than by the results of some coded dice rolls. So I will often get real salty due to battles being lost by people being potatoes, but never because I get detonated. That's just bad luck... sh** happens... next time it's him, not me... but potatoes will always potate and there's nothing you can do against it and nothing that helps against it and it will make you lose not one, but dozens... hundreds.. of battles in the end.

For me it is the same, as I play only in the lower tier range, where DDs and (most) cruisers don't heal I would LOVE to have more realism in game... Just check the total number of BBs sunk by CVs when not in harbour (!) and I guess that would be a number one could live with... Although I would be satisfied if some of the more blatant things - like ships backpaddeling like tanks... or ships firing all guns with the standart speed even though they are only a 1 hp hulk.. - would be changed. Especially the last would be great. Some kind of "reduction in all activity speed" due to loss of personnel on board (which can't be called that, because of reasons...). Stuff like speed changes, reloading, fire&flodding repairs etc. would make the game a lot more tactical than it is now. Right now it's just "WoT on the Water" and the realism of WoT is.... neglectable... if one is trying to be kind. Ah.... so You grew up with the capitalistic game of "one against all others - to win is everything!" (= Monopoly) while I grew up with "Mensch ärgere Dich nicht" which explains a lot IMHO.

Well, for me WoWs is all but "semi competitive". Considering that the bots in PvE battles show at least the same amount of skill and sometimes more skill than the average player kills every chance for competitiveness... Add to that the great amount of unrealistic game mechanics, WoWs is in my opinion not really skill dependent, but depending on luck... You need luck to get a team not entirely consisting of potatoes... you need luck to have your shots hit your targets - "skill" doesn't really make that much of a difference as most people seem to think.... So no, I just can't take this game serious enough to invest too much emotion in being salty because of game mechanics... And even if detonations would be taken out of the game, there'd still be enough other mechanics that are so far away from being realistic - like... radar/sonar working through islands... my personal favourite... - and the outcome of battles would still be mostly dependent on luck. And the statement above about "... he makes all the mistakes in the world and still wins..." doesn't only work for detonations. It's the same for about every "random" damage done in the game.. fires starting.. flooding... damage to steering/engine etc. etc. - all of that has nothing to do with skill and all of it can lead to a ship getting annihilated, though not instantly, but fast. Well, even rioting could be done with some style, y'know...

    Weather Change in Battle

I think that calling the limited visibility effect a "cyclone" is just a bit much... to me it seems to be not much more than a squall... very short lived change of visibility due to weather effects... And I don't encounter them very often in game, so I'm not really bothered by them... but of course I'm not a borderhugging BaBBy who feels himself hindered in shooting at max range due to bad weather...

    Blessed my RNG

    And, did it detonate?

    Vent thread

Well, MM is usually fine for at least 50% of the players in most battles...

    Where is the holiday excitement?

Will she lose a piece of clothing for every container one gets? Now THAT would be some motivation...

Depends how to define a "true gamer". I'm playing computer games for about... 30 years or so now.. Online games since the '90s I even played "the other WoW" - the one with elves and orcs and suchlike... And there always have been people to take all these games too seriously. Mostly folks, that lacked other more important things in life, like... a job... a family... I don't want to say that everyone complaining about the detonation mechanic is a neckbeard still living in his momma's basement... but... well, some give the vibes, y'know... Well, there usually some of those oil-lamps on a stick which one uses in the garden to give some romatic light available in most garden centers here in germany... And - again, at least in germany - pitchforks do not yet count as weapons and can therefor be transported easily by just carrying them around. Might be different in Britain though, where even forks might fall under some weapons jurisdiction...

I really think that some people take this game (!!!) way too seriously. If random detonations are so bad, then why isn't everyone running around with torches and pitchforks because of all the other unrealistic things in the game? On the other hand: thanks to all the people here detonating so often. It seems You take my share as well, because I rarely get detonated at all...

Vampire - Bat out of Hell?

Alright, I finished the missions today. I spend a couple captain free exp to get the 6 pt captain up to 10 pt - 5.7 km visibility is so much more comfortable... - and took that little beauty into battle. 4 Battles - 4 wins - 35k damage done average and a total of 10 kills. Yeah, small sample size etc. etc. but she feels really, really good. A bit like a Campbeltown on speed... Of course, it's weekend and the battles where full with potatoes driving around in PADDs, trying to sink DDs with their torps, but nonetheless, the way the Vampire downed them was impressive. + - not too slow and quite maneuverable - fast guns with nice arcs - low visibility and with a 10 pt captain it gets really nice - - only 1x3 torps with 6 km range (nice damage though, and they can be launched as singles) - considering the low amount of exp one usually gets at T3 it will take a very (very, very..) long time to get the captain to 19 pts (unless you have a Perth and switch him from around; skills are halfway compatible,,,) Sealclubber rating: A+

    Kamikaze R i love it

Kamikaze (R) is too good a ship to be really proud of when clubbing seals... I rather see my best Katori battle as something to be proud of.. 110k damage and 6 sinkers done... or 117k and 7 sinkers in a Campbeltown. 144k and 6 sinkers in the Yubari... or 196k in the Minekaze... Sealclubbing in the Kami is only impressive, when it's T7 seals that get clubbed...
  25. Deckeru_Maiku

    Unplayable any more !!!

    Why no mayonaise, dude?
