Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
Deckeru_Maiku replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
I've done all that and also poured a couple of buckets of salt over my teammates and never got more than one or two reports... although I can't be to sure about that, as my karma is only around 1 or 2 anyways during the last couple weeks... But, yes, that "press N to prove you are a honk" seems to hit the mark quite often. -
Looking for a Cruiser line (or singular ship) that suits my requirements

Rigged Unbalanced crap to Play no Fun, ripped off obvious lumpy ungraceful Game

The only thing, that is really, really, REALLY wrong with WoTs is the extrem number of potatoes in the game. And WG can't really fix that. Everything else that has to do with game mechanics is just there to give us more of a challenge to overcome. -
Yep... getting into a T7 battle with the Kamikaze still feels as sealclubbing. Though recently I noticed, that getting "upgraded" to a T7 battle in the Crispy Creme is awfully funny, too. Way too often the "big boys" don't seem to take you seriously and justforget that fire is the Great Regulator, that can kill even a +2 tier BB when administered long/often enough.

Why should any civilised person careabout what happens on the russian server?

You want BB krakens? Play DD... oh, sorry... You meant You want to get krakens while driving a BB... then use Orion. 'nuff said. -
do you think games are fixed ??

Good days and bad days explanation? Easy... some days you get the potatoes = 46% WR... other days you get slightly better potatoes = 100% WR. In the end it depends on how potato you are yourself. -

Ended up with my Normandie in a T8 battle today. Epeencenter mode, to make it worse. Managed to sink a (stupid) Fiji and a FU-buki. And I harassed a Tripizza with HE for a while, just to make my presence felt and to have it waste some shots at an already half-dead target, which worked great. In the end, I got sunk by a Kagero - with well times torps, of which one was enough to take the rest of my HP - but nonetheless ended the battle with a win an me being at the #1 spot experiencewise. In an effing T8 battle. With a Normandie... Alas, it was just one of several quite strange battles ending up with a 100% win rate over 8 battles, with Unicorn-ish PRs in five of them. Among them Kagero and Fushun, which aren't really among my favourite ships and in which I usually don't really do well. And, again, in the "Dakka-dakka-dakka" Crispy Creme... nearly 50k damage... this ship continues to amaze me... -
There's your problem... manual secondaries < T5 = useless... Mikasa is great, when she goes in between a couple other ships and the secondaries shoot in all directions
-
Njet! Njet! NJET!!! (starts looking for a shoe to bang on the desk) Mikasa has to be humiliated again and again and again for all that she did to the invincible russian navy!

In my 424 battles in the Kamikaze R - yes, I'm a sealclubber - I managed to shoot down a total of... 1 planes. In 577 battles in the Minekaze - most of them sealclubbing, too, just with worse torpedoes - a total of 36 planes got shot down. So if you're after planes, take the Minekaze... it's AA strength is OP compared to Kamikaze R -
Mogami is okay at T8 I'm not at Unicorn level with her, but I manage to survive a couple games and even win more than I lose. It helps to use a "stealth build" to get into hiding when the feces hits the fan. And it helps to play it bit more passively and stay around your BBs, so the enemy has enough targets to shoot at, when you engage the invisibility shield... Everyone not happy with the Mogami should just get the Atergo... or a Tripitz.

Opt in for 'tougher' Random Games pool
Deckeru_Maiku replied to loppantorkel's topic in General Discussion
Voted "no" because You underestimate the disability of humans to properly estimate their skill level. Each and every potato would make that liitle "x" to get into the "elite battles" as each and every one of them thinks of himself as "elite, but always getting potato teams, that lose the games for me, so I only manage a 4x % winrate" In the end one would probably end up with better teams, if one would NOT set that little "x" -

Had a quite terribad day today... only 46% winrate A couple of those battles were quite fun though... Two won battles in the Ibuki with an average of 120k damage were nice... seems I'm playing her wrong, as I manage a 75% winrate (just below 30 battles total, though..) and 45% survival rate in her. My battle in the Mogami ended with a win. I got sunk though, but managed to sink two (!) BBs posthumorously (= laughing, while sinking) with torps. At 8 km+ range. losing in the Orion with 2 kills and 71k damage done wasn't that fun, but things happen... and, as a new tradition, my final battle of the day in the Crispy Creme: going "dakka-dakka-dakka" all game long, sinking two ships and doing 76k damage before I got taken down. And it even was a win. -
Nope... Neither does anyone reading it here... And after seeing Your stats and what ships You had even a "Can I haz ur stuff?" would not be worth uttering. So bye, and don't let the door hit Your behind as you walk out.

Crispy Creme could do with a bit more range and reload speed.

Where are all the cruisers at?
Deckeru_Maiku replied to SirLloydHigginsBoomBoom's topic in General Discussion
The greatest problem for cruisers are dumb BB drivers on their own team, that don't give any friggin' support but just "kemp bush". For the Yamamoto campaign I have to use T8+ ships, so I play my Mogami and recently my Ibuki more often. Why these two? Easy... they have low visibility and good range, so they can stay around the allied BBs, send out a salvo or two if enemies get in range and get invisible again, which leaves the BBs as main targets for the enemy - as it should be. Since I play them that way, my winrate with the Mogami has increased and over (only) 25 battles I managed to have a 76% winrate and ~45% survival rate. As soon as there's BBs regularly doing their effing job, I might be tempted to get other cruisers levelled up, too. As it is now, it's Mogami/Ibuki at T8+ only. -
I'm only a mediocre player, and my winrate in the Polish Blitz is 53% and average damage is at 36k. In the Sims it's 50% WR and only 28k. Akatsuki was 54% and 41k. Mahan 48% and 28k. So... nah, I also don't think the Blitz needs a buff. Probably just a problem of the OP with the style of play it needs. You can still kite cruisers and use speed and agility to dodge their shots. Alas, only if you know how to do damage at long range.

Well, at least those russian ships are perfectly suited to a job, they already had in their colourful past... sitting in the harbour doing nothing.

Random battles - can I choose type I wanna play?
Deckeru_Maiku replied to Jack_Sparrow123's topic in General Discussion
So finding a new island to hide behind is "trying something different"? For me, removing the islands makes the game a lot more challenging, as You have to use brain.exe to find a way not to get annihilated by mass enemy fire. And this "kill all enemy DD and keep solo capping..." might be not interesting for a unicorn, but there are quite a few players who find it quite challenging. Add to that, if there would be Epeencenter on the Ocean Map, it would be fun to see how non-DDs would try to find a hiding place, when DDs decide to play passively. -
The smaller teams are quite nice. Too bad, there's still too many BaBBies in those battles. But at least one get's in a battle instantly in a DD and with very low queue time in a cruiser.

I would love the option of being able to de-activate one battlemode, except Epicenter, because all battles that normally would have been played at the deactivated mode would be changed into Epicenter automatically. And of course I wouldn't de-activate any battlemode, because even though I detest Epicenter I don't play worse on it than on any other battlemode... or rather equally worse. -
The good thing about that patch update video is, that Dasha dances around in flimsy clothing. The bad thing about it is, that Dasha dances around IN FLIMSY CLOTHING, as we all know the "Dasha Factor". The more flimsy Dasha's dresses, the worse the patch update will be.

I always thought that the "you will effing hit terrain indicator" only calculates for some turrets, not all of them, if they would hit "terrain". Should be easy to check, by rotating through the different turrets, to see under which conditions it shows. And of course the same would be true for the other case - the turret that your active view is on has a free field of fire to the target, but the three turrets to the aft are hindered by the terrain. The indicator only shows that the active turret would shoot unhindered. For me it's the "the torpedoes will of course go past that island like the yellow cone shows" - BOOM, island sunk due to shallow water not really being shown as unpassable for torps in that yellow cone - effect.

Can't say that I noticed that ever. And I'm dead a lot, so I have lots of opportunities to watch ships getting rekt by opponents.
