Considering it even was done in a Bogus that is a quite impressive result.

Varyag / Soya - why not both?

So, as the russian cruiser Varyag also was in japanese service, as Soya, and was used for training duty, it would be very nice if we could use her like this in the game too, especially as there are hundreds of russian cruisers available, but way less japanese ones. Anyone got an opinion?
  4. All I can say is "Yes, please" Especially if there were more realistic historical camos available...

Why Ranked and CWs are not 12x12?

I see it the other way 'round: why isn't random battle 7 vs. 7 too, instead of 12 vs. 12 and filled with potatoes... For me it is "less players per team equals more fun for all" and imho less players also means the game would get more tactical, as teams would have to think where to attack/defend, with not enough ships to attack/defend everywhere at the same time. One of the most fun games I had recently was a.. wait for it... 3 vs 3 battle... okay, it was at T3 (with me in my Mikasa) but it was a random battle, no PvE one...

Todays good battles: first battleof the day - for a couple of days already - in the Normandie. I only managed one kill, but 56k damage and a win is okay for me as I'm trying to get Yamamoto some training he was doing battles in the Ishizuchi (33k damage, a sinker, win) and Kirishima (Kongo clone; 55k, no sinker but a win) - progress is slow I was in desperate need to club some seals. And of course my Kamikaze R ended in a T7 battle. With two (!) Kamikazes on the enemy team. Heavy sealclubbing happened. I only managed 66k damage and no sinker, but a win is a win is a win.. The most horrible game came in my #2 sealclubber's favourite - the Minekaze... utterly underrated, even with them sloooooow torpedoes. I started on the eastern flank of the northern side of Dault Line - domination mode - and went straight to the cap, with two cruisers behind me. Shortly after I reached the cap an enemy Nicholas (accompanied by two cruisers) showed up on the southern side of the cap. A short look on the minimap and it was easy to see, that "my cruisers" were vanishing in thin air (and heading to the B cap instead of supporting me) so I did my best to "RUN AWAY!" Dodging all those shells coming my way wasn't easy and being kinda perma-spotted by the enemy CV with no support from our CV didn't help either, but in the end I managed to get away with ~50% hp left. That Nicholas was following me, while I made my way around that small island north of the cap. When I made it past that island, I fired some speculative torps in the general direction where I guessed the Nicholas to maybe show up - and it did... I caught a few more hits, but managed to hit the Nicholas' steering, which let him sail straight ahead into one of my torps... booyakasha! The battle was not going too bad, with "my" team holding one cap, the B cap still being open and the cap I headed to first being occupied by a single Kaiser... so it was kinda obvious where I had to go. That Kaiser proved a bit tougher than I expected, but the trick with the island worked again - especially, as one of my team's BBs was distracting the Kaiser a bit. So when he tries to pass the island, he found out that even sloooooow torpedoes can't be dodged that easily from 3.5 km away - booyakasha, too... Next I made for the cap and managed to take it. But now the enemy had not only taken both other caps, but also managed to take out 8 (or so) of our ships. We were down 4 to 6 (or so..) at that time and when I checked my options I could see a Kuma waiting at the B cap... not a good choice to engage a Kuma with a 25% hp left Minekaze.. so I tried to go after the enemy CV which was supposed to be close to the B cap, just south of it. The point counter was ticking against us... 800 to 650 or so already... and when I managed to get the enemy CV in my sights - a Ryujo - it went over 900 for them. I managed to hit the Ryujo for 22k or so with torps - that bugger was quite dodgy - and when trying to finish him with my guns his secondaries - damn them secondaries! - finished me off. Our CV didn't manage to sink the Ryujo when the last seconds of the timer ticked away.. So I only managed 2 sinkers, but 95k damage... and in the exp ranking I managed the #3 spot total, only behind the two best guys on the winning team. Nonetheless a win would have been sweeter than this loss.... but considering that I barely managed to dodge the bullet(s) three minutes in the game, I think I did quite good.
  7. I happened to sink some allies in my career, too. It was always my fault. Always. So I apologized for it. There is no divine force suddenly making your torps hit an ally. It's always a mistake of the one sending those torps at a target, without checking if the shot is secure first.
  8. Just ended in the same team with @Dropsiq (Atlanta) and @RagingNoob (Fiji) in my Mutsu... Steamroll win in 6:10 minutes.. one loss (a Fushun) on our side and 8 enemy ships sunk... I didn't even had time to get close enough to battle to do some damage, but nonetheless managed two sinkers , but that was only enough for #7 in the ranking, while the two mentioned above got #1 & #2 slot.. Nice to meet ya.. would sameteam again...

    MM sucks balls

The problem is, that there is such an enormous amount of bad players, they often make up 80% of both teams. So then the other 20% decide which side wins. Sometimes those 20% are on the same team, so they help their potatoes to a slightly better winrate and the opposing potatoes get a bit worse. So yeah, MM is truly random. Players aren't. Potatoes always will find a way to potate.

A Myoko? That is kinda overkill-ish methinks... But sailing around in a Myoko showing broadside to a Tripizza asks for getting annihilated - so Well Done tm Seems I'm back to my good old usual mediocrity... winrates for the last five days was 66.7%, 36.4%, 73.3%, 33.3% and today 70%. Which puts me at ~55% average or so... Nice games today were a loss with 90k+ damage and three sinkers in the Normandie, followed by a win with just 19k and a single kill... The Vampire is a nice little beast... of course I am a filthy sealclubber for using it, but three sinkers and 27k damage (plus a Unicorn "Personal Rating" on WoWs Stats&Numbers) look really nice. Over all 31 battles in her I'm at 74% WR and ~34k average damage. Good little sealclubber... I can do it on T7 too, though... alas, it takes a Gadjah Mada, it seems. Today a win, two kills, 52k damage and also a unicornish 2100+ PR, when the total over 9 battles (yeah, small sample size, I know...) is 88.9% winrate, 39k average damage and 1.11 kills per battle average. She's not even fully upgraded... And a nice little sealclubbing match in the Yubari, with a Texas and a Campbeltown in the enemy team - obviously sealclubbers, too, just like me - which ended with a win and 44k damage, of which a good part were done against the Texas If really all is back to normal, I probably catch another stinker tomorrow...
  11. Probably around the time when You started doing battles in T9/10 ships. At least that's usually the point where people stop making "good amounts of credits"

Got the supercontainer for the first part of the Vargyarwhatever mission... and the amazing price was... 25 of those yellow dragon thingy flags... yay! Can't say that it gave me a "super" feeling... but I also can't say that I would care much.

    Wargaming permits teamkilling

For the #1 You deserve the thumbs down smiley, because even if you spot those torps coming at you from the wrong direction, you have to react to them, which often gets you in a situation were you will be sunk by the enemy. And in that case, dodging torpedoes fired by a mentally handicapped player and getting destroyed by the enemy as the result won't even turn that torpedo fluke pink. Which means he'll probably think that he "dun nuttin wrong". I have to admit, that because of this, I often reject to evade allied torps and instead take as many as possible, in the hope, that by turning pink that player might a) learn a vital lesson or b) is at least a wee bit annoyed having to sail around in the colour of a "My Little Pony" fan. For the #2 you deserve a thumbs up smiley, though, so in the end it evens out and you get nothing...

can we get rid of the tier 4+1?

I only play T8 when I have to - missions and suchlike - but I can't say I'm too bothered when I end up in T10. Quite often I end on one of the first three places either on the winning or losing side, with more T10 below than ahead of me. T8 can do good in T10 battles. Not always, but often. Tons of potatoes in T10 ships make sure of that...

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Okay, I went sealclubbing again today... and was again quite successful/lucky... 73% winrate... The best - and probably funniest - battle was in the Campbeltown with 94k damage and two sinkers... BBs in this case.. one of them an Orion... Then there was the need for a win and two sunk ships done at T5 - time to take the Kamikaze for a Ride. Win - check... 2 ships sunk - nah, better.. 3... and all of them enemy DDs. 63k total damage, as there also were some nosy cruisers and BBs coming to close to the edge of the island which I occupied (keeping the enemy team from capping...) And in the final battle the Crispy Creme managed a win and 74k dakka-dakka-dakka-damage... and two caps

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Okay.. my unicornish phase seems to be finally over. 11 battles today and only four wins... At first the day looked good though... Battle in the Normandie (still on the way to the Lyon...) with a win and 61k damage Battle in the Gadjah Mada (still on the way to get her fully upgraded) with a win and 80k damage and here it began... potatoes all over and I managed to do my best to play like them... getting no support at all and having teams that threw away already secure victories helped a lot... Only in the Yubari and Itchy Suzi gave me another win (each)...

    About winrate

Seal (!) clubbing is most fun for me, when I can do it in some ship that's usually seen as UP, not OP. Like Minekaze... everybody knows the Kamikaze is a great club for seals, but think the Minekaze is not so good, due to slow torpedoes etc. but even without a 19 pt captain one can do really good in her. Königsberg is another example... T5, so it often ends up against T7... and easy to citadel... but I like playing her. Right now, there's a great lot of experienced players around at T4 to T7, due to T8+ being sometimes very, very boring and static. So someone wanting to club some seals usually finds proper opponents with the same intent on the opposing team. No need to "feel dirty", methinks... Nah, it's not.. at least not always, due to me being only a single person. It's not always possible to make good for 11 potatoes on your team, even with tons of experience. Especially, when there's experienced players on the other team, too. Which is the rule now, and not the exception. That's because all the T10 battles I've played already, were utterly boring. Considering that when playing T8 ships and ending in a T10 battle within the top 3 ahead of T10 ships is happening quite often, it shows the "skill" of many T10 players. So there's not much that T10 would offer me, as playing the lower tiers is just more fun. My first T10 will probably be the Yamato btw. as that's the only ship I would be really interested in. And as you can see by my stats, there are quite a few different ships that I'm better with and others in which I really fail to produce anything. Kagero for example... can't get that wreck to work. The Fletcher feels ok sometimes, but sometimes I just hate her... especially, when there's no support by the team. Ibuki astounds me, as I didn't expect much from it. it seems I managed to find a way to play her and though I could do better damagewise, the 80% winrate (solo...) over 30 battles really surprised me. Don't feel "digged" a bit... And I know, if I would play division with my clan mates, my winrate would probably go up quite fast. But then I would have to get my playing more organized... like waiting for the divisionmates to end the battle, after I got sunk. Right now - playing solo - I just jump in the next ship (to get sunk again...)

Finally it's over... The weekend, I mean... didn't play yesterday and had only time for a few battles today and in my comfy tier range - T4 to 7 - I managed a 66% winrate day again. Is there some program to check if there's something wrong with my PC mayhaps? This is now going on for far too long... even my 21 day average is now >60% If this goes on any longer, people will expect me to carry battles... that would be just... *shudder*
  19. Yeppers.. two or a maximum of three DDs per side would be great... I hate it, when I have to dodge five enemy DDs in my Kamikaze on the way to get me my regular dose of BaBBysealsteaks...

Ah well, the only guys I have ever divisioned with were just scrubs, and even with those I managed an 80% winrate in divisions... well, over 10 battles total. The only 10 I ever played in division...
