OP seems to be okay'ish in Cruisers and good in BBs. It's just about every DD that he has no clue of, considering the average damage he doesn't manage to do... Probably he has no clue at all how to use torpedos... I mean, a 3% hit rate with torps on the Jianwei... holey RNGesus, that's effing bad... even I managed 10% The only thing he could do is: play about 5k DD battles in CoOp to learn the basics... then slowly start to play Random with DDs, starting with low tiers, and not those bought T8 DDs he doesn't know how to use properly... Or just stop playing DDs and concentrate on BBs and Cruisers... -

The first rule of the Nürnberg Club: You do not talk about the Nürnberg Club... And in my opinion, the Königsberg is even nastier than the Nürnberg, when played right. Would love to see You in that Yubari in the same or the enemy team when I take mine for her kinda daily ride... Today I only managed 64k and two sinkers though... As I was doing the last part of the Captain Jütland Mission chain - 500 secondary hits... a Job for the Bismarck in CoOp - I had only time for few battles today. Yubari - see above... oh, and it was a win Vampire... in a battle with seven (7 !!) DDs per side. And two BBs... got four enemies total (2 DD, 1 BB and a Cruiser) for 73k damage and another win St.Louis (the T3 one) in a battle, where most of my "teammates" suicided like they got paid for it... loss... and the Crispy Creme battle of the day - no sinker and only 22k damage, but annoying enemy ships by using long range and islands... After buggering some BBs and Cruisers I was down to 400 hp, so going after the Kamikaze (which was one of two surviving enemy ships) wasn't a good idea.... but it ended as a win anyway. Tomorrow it's the "normal" ships again... Mission done, weekend over... time to potate at higher tiers again -

The problem with the "all potatoes potate to one side" tactics is, that to achieve anything from those "numbers" you would have to actively PUSH - which potatoes don't do. So 10 ships sail to one cap, see an enemy DD there and get stalled... and stalled... and stalled... as nobody seems to be interested in sinking that DD (which, of course, is bright enough to stay invisible) or to just effing PUSH THROUGH that DD to get to the ships behind it... those 3 or 4 ships assisting the DD from max range... ...while the other six enemy ships take the other two caps and delete the two defenders trying to keep them from doing so. "Force of Numbers" without a real push = Lemming Train. Useless... ineffective... dumb... and in most cases a sure 80% chance to lose the battle (unless the other team potates too" -

Which probably is the reason why I don't have any financial problems in WoWs. Never had to skip any upgrades, due to having not enough credits... Sometimes I re-buy some ships, just because I want to play them again or get the number of battles with them to a "proper" number (like: 10,15, 25, 50, 100 etc... instead of 8, 13, 23 etc) If I had wanted to, I probably could have a T10 for quite a while already - but there is nothing at T10 battles that interests me. I'm in T10 battles often enough with the T8+ ships I have to see, that potatoes do potate as much or worse on T10 than they do at T5/6. So why bother? Especially, if it only helps to make you lose money -

Be a BB... try to get in battle... see 50+ ships in queue... think about how queue would be, if there were even less cruisers & DDs in the +2/-2 range... swear to never allow MM be changed to +1/-1 And as we all know, that WG does whatever they can to fight the BaBByflood... sorry.... that WG does whatever satisfies the BaBBies, this MM change will never happen. Normal players just log in with a cruiser or DD when there's too many BBs in the queue. Result = waiting time < 1 minute. Or most often you get in a battle instantly in a cruiser or DD

If any of this ox-feces makes it into the game I will from then on only play DDs - probably only Kamikaze, 'cause 5.4 km visibility rools - and just hurry to find a safe spot as soon as the battle starts and watch BaBBies falling to the "automagic damage" they will take. -

Yep, another good reason for not having Failbook - you don't get to see such utter brainfarts... unless you get to see it here on the forum then, of course... I don't know who came up with this stuff... and I must admit, it would be nice to see all those BaBBies die because of a) not knowing how these modes work and b) knowing it, but still hugging borders. Guess I'd only play my Kamikaze then - 5.4 klicks visibility - and stay invisible 'til all potatoes on both sides have been executed... If they implement either of these, they will probably have a lifetime of... meh... two or rather only one update(s) before they get pulled again due to all the feces hitting the windmachine -

It would mayhaps help a bit, if the game would be split in "f2p" and a "p2p" versions. Let all them potatoes play for free, and hope that only the better players are willing to pay some € 10.- a month without getting any other benefit from it, but the hope this financial hurdle would keep the potatoes out (or at least their numbers low) -

A potential solution to camping Battleships

Well, some BB sitting at the map edge will surely see all other BBs "going for the enemy" if they are in front of him. Don't know what or where or when you play. Might also be, that you are the lucky one ending up only in teams with non-camping BBs. But from my experience from many, many, MANY games, the amount of potatoes playing utterly defensive, sitting behind islands and instead of going for a cap when there is a) a chance or b) the need to cap but instead "run away!!!!!" as soon as they think they are in danger to get shot at is enormous. And no, reducing torp ranges wouldn't change anything, as it's not DDs these guys fear. It's getting damaged in any way. They fear torpedoes, they fear fire from cruisers and most of all they fear other BBs that are better than them, which usually means many BB players. As long as experience comes mostly from doing damage, with only little extras for "doing you effing job!" this will not change. Those long range snipers have the big guns. And as usually the active people, who do a) their job and b) engage the enemy and sink the first enemy ships usually get focussed down quite fast after that, they face a lot of damaged enemies in the end and are able to sink a few - which of course doesn't change the outcome of the battle due to all caps being in enemy hands or - in standard - the campers being too far away from their own cap (like at the far flanks) to defend it. So after a sinker or two the game ends, and the campers slap their own shoulders saying, "see, I got a sinker (or two) and 35k damage in my Tirpitz, so I must have done good ans there's four ships worse than me in the battle result..." Solution? no experience for damage, but only for "doing your effing job", which for BBs is "tanking". Reward high numbers of "potential damage taken" with exp and money. Reward "spotting damage" done with exp and money. Reward cruisers for shooting down planes and sinking (!) DDs. Make the cost for Ammo higher. At least three times as high as it is now. The more you shoot, the more it should cost. Except for secondary guns. They shoot for free... some more splatter for the shells the longer the range they are shot at would be a) logical and b) reward going closer to the enemy. More than enough reward I think. -

As usual, no fancy pics but just short statements... Data available at WoWS Stats&Numbers Yesterday was full of suicical maniacs who threw away games. Only had one of those games today... the rest Orion... did four battles in her. Average damage 59k and eight sinkers in total. But the only game that ended as a win was the only one, with no Nikolai I in it. Vampire... only on sinker in two battles, but 40k average damage. One win, but the other game was the one "thrown away" by the last two members of our team, who chose to engage the four surviving enemy ships with no need, as we had all three caps, several hundred points advantage and only 2 minutes left on the clock. Yeah, they sank two more, before they vanished and the game was lost... the others were better, starting with a 120k damage, four sinkers, two caps and all the glam you can think of win in the trusty Kamikaze. I felt a bit dirty after clubbing all them poor little BaBByseals... not! nothing glamorous in Ichizuchi (win, sinker, 15k damage), Gadjah Mada (win, 25k, no sinker), Krasny Krim (33k no sinker, win) and Yubari (29k, two sinkers (stoopid DDs ) and win) Honory Mention: Campbeltown doing what she does best... a sinker, a win and 39k damage and being outright nasty But my personal Ship Of The Day is my - ta-dum-tsssss - Katori. Sealclubbing at it's best... Kraken. 37k damage. Ended the battle in the enemy cap in standard battle! Those poor DDs didn't even know where them lazerbeams came from that hit them... especially that poor fellow that tried to hide behind (!) his smoke, not seeing the two (!) AA planes circling my Katori . So... yesterday 28% winrate with 1.57 average sinkers and 58k average damage... I'd say I tried my best... Today 69% winrate - call me Unicorn! - only 47k average damage but 1.69 ships sunk per battle... not that different, but teams were better... -

Yeah, not my best battle in the Lyon... but also not my worst. Don't like that ship. And considering I was - iirc - the only T7 in a battle with mostly T9 ships, and I ended around #5 or so in the results, with a cap assist and some defenses, I didn't do that bad. The end was horrible, but when you bother check my position a couple minutes earlier, you'd see me as one of the few people actually pushing for the cap. And, as said in game chat, I didn't even notice Flambass was in the battle 'til he sunk me. Have to admit one really big mistake though - I didn't check data of that Kronshtad... russian cruiser I will never play and rarely encounter, so wtf should I check it's data. So because of expecting torps coming my way from it I didn't go straight at it but tried to... well, not get torped. Guess the next Kronshtad will get rammed in a similiar situation- 3,079 replies

Terrible day, really terrible... teams today were the worstest ever. A battle in the Lyon for 69k damage and a sinker, but the team dying away all around me... loss #1 Took my frustrationkiller Normandie for a ride. Didn't go too bad I'd say - 83k damage and a sinker... team dying all around me... loss #2 Okay, time to take the sure ones for a ride - Gadjah Mada to the rescue! 96k damage and two sinkers later in a T9 battle (with 4 DDs per side) I ended up on the #1 spot... of the losing team. Loss #3 Okay... seems anything at T5 and up is just wasted effort... so it's T4 time with the Yubari. Aaaaand the first win of the day. 54k damage, four sinkers - three of them DDs - and 14 planes shot down, teaching a Langley not to try to torp a Yubari (his two attempts reduced the number of TBs he had by 10). Nearly managed to get close enough to the last surviving enemy ship - the Langley - but I had to go through the enemy cap to get close to it... and so we won by cap... darn... Okay, T4 seemed to work. And Yamamoto needs some more EXP, so here he goes in the Itchy Suzie... and - tadaa - another win and even three sinkers. With only 29k damage done, though.. cleaning up the leftovers - and a DD that didn't expect the Itchy Suzie to throw HE at him... kaboom.. So.. maybe T5 could work, too? Yamamoto goes to the Mutsu... and after only 44k damage dished out at every enemy in range, and the team dying all over the map in rcord time... loss #4 That's it.. final attempt... Krasny Krim... turned out a rather meh battle, with all teammates dying all around me, while I had to dodge shells coming from all directions.. yeah, loss #5 -

Easy answer: I wouldn't. Subs don't fit into the game. Sub playstyle is even further away from normal WoWs playstyle then CVs. The only way I would expect to see subs in game would be as NPC vessels in combat missions. -

There are a couple of cruisers already, that can get around quite well using HE exclusively. Examples: Yubari... now armour, will take crits like hell when shot at.. so the best way to play her is using her range, but AP is next to useless on long range, so shooting HE exclusively is the way to go Crispy... sorry.. Krasny Krim.. about the same as Yubari, just with longer range... yes, you could (!) use AP versus cruisers at close range, but you would get punished for trying. -
