Would you like co-op battles to be made 8v12?
Deckeru_Maiku replied to StringWitch's topic in General Discussion
Yeppers... and You even play CoOp regularly it seems... nearly 6k battles.... and You have a 60% winrate in 6992 real battles, too... way better than my measly 55% in 10800 battles... And I only very, very, very rarely play CoOp... only 139 battles total, but with a 98.65% winrate... which means I lost a total of 2 battles in CoOp... one in Mikasa and one in Furutaka. But I only play CoOp when I try a new ship... or need some ridiculess damage or whatever done for some mission... So no, I don't care about my winrate in CoOp... the CoOp mode is way too boring to be anything but a Training Room with some allied human controlled ships, who often only play marginally better than the bots. I don't think changing the bot team to 12 ships would change anything. Would get interesting though, when one get's a team of one human and seven bots against 12 bots on the other team... -

There's also players with a lower than 95% winrate in CoOp, which really freaks me out... -

Only a couple games today... 50% winrate in the end and no ship to get grandfathered... Podvoisky.. wanted to see if the last battle was a "one hit wonder" - too bad I ended on the mentally challenged team, so even 58k damage (only one sinker) didn't help to win. Gadjah Mada... not a good battle for me, with just 27k damage and a sinker, but at least the sinker was the only enemy DD... so in the end my team won Kamikaze... horrible team... only managed 33k damage and a sinker... this team wasn't able to win though after I got sinkered... Lyon... another meh battle. And loss. Königsberg.... decided that 275 looks better than 265, so it's ten more to go. Last one was a win with two sinkers and 58 k damage... and I got teamtorped by an utterly useless Gaede, who managed a) not to cap A on Two Brothers (I did) and b) didn't spot and then c) let out a salvo of torps against an enemy BB that went to the gap just to get torped by me (which was shortly BEFORE the Gaede launched his torps at that already dead enemy...) and kept me from sinking an enemy DD right in front of me... didn't matter in the end... a win is a win is a win.. BATTLE OF THE DAY: The End Is Near or The Day The Two Crispy Cremes Met Yes, it finally happened! Two Crispy Cremes in the same battle, but on opposite sides... and of course it was a T7 battle... so I did my usualy procedure - start shooting right from the starting position going forward until you get spotted, then find a nice island to hide behind and spam all available enemies with HE... I took some ouchies right at the start, but then managed to fade out of the enemies' minds... didn't work out that well for the enemy Kreme, as he got sunk as "first blood" for one of my team's BBs. I survived 'til the end, did 45k damage and nearly sunk more than just the one ship I did sink... Though that was a nice one, as I managed a real sneaky sneak torpedo attack against a Bayern, which went down in a Blaze Of Glory seeing me getting away nearly unharmed... Not every battle in the Crispy Creme is a win - but they are always funny... and when it'sa win, they are even funnier. -
Everything is hunky dory for me, nothing changed with the patch... potatoes everywhere, but as I don't read the chat until I got salty myself I ain't bothered by nothing... So... maybe just stop reading the chat? Helps a lot, I think...

Wich faction have the better BB?
Deckeru_Maiku replied to Albedo_IsMy_Waifu's topic in General Discussion
Don't... Just... don't... There's enough bad BB players already - maybe learn to play and play some proper ships instead... like, cruisers? -
The only thing that frustrates me when ending up with a T8 in a T10 battle is when in the end all T10 ships are behind me in the battle result list... and I'm not even on the #1 spot. Happens way too often (wins and losses) and only shows, that some people should rather sell their T10 ships than play them.

Had some more battles in ships supposed to be "grandfathered" (and a few others...) five battles in FUbuki. Astoundingly four of them were won - - and I came up with an average damage of 38k, one kill per battle and a 2515 SuperUnicorn WoWS S&N rating... FUbuki gets grandfathered with 150 battles total, 56% winrate and 31k average damage. Not bad, but I still won't miss her much... St. Lucifer.... sorry... T3 St.Louis had to do two battles. And yes, I'm a disgusting sealclubber, punishing poor little noobs and noobish veterans doing 40k average damage and 1.5 kills per battle with her. Two wins and also a 2895 Superunicorn rating... St. Lucifer gets grandfatheres with 150 battles, 54% winrate and 33k average damage FurryTaco... also had to do two battles in her. Two wins... 64k average damage... only 2 kills total though, but nonetheless a 3684 Superunicorn rating... Furutake gets grandfathered with 125 battles, 57% winrate and 30k average damage Only one battle was needed for the Emile Bertin. A win. Three sinkers. 55k damage done... and - I know, it gets boring - a 3345 Superunicorn yadda yadda... Emile Berting gets grandfathered with only 70 battles, a 61% winrate, 36k average damage One battle in Königsberg... only managed 25k damage and no kills in a won battle. Was too aggressive and got boomed soon... one more battle to go to grandfather it Minekaze.... I'm not sure if I am ready to let her go... yes, I still have the Kamikaze, but sealclubbing is so much more fun in the Minekaze... even with only a 14 pt captain... Today I did only one battle in her for 20k damage (low...) and one kill (low, too) but a win... but it still was fun... Kamikaze... makes me feel a bit dirty, if it works out well... today it did... Two sinkers (among them a FUbuki that thought it could win a knifefight and got torped just outside the activation range of Kami's torps in a "sail-by-torping") and 38k damage done in a win. Capped a bit, too. Buggered enemy DDs due to low visibility range and outspotting them... the usual... I noticed, that I had a russian DD with only seven battles done and the follo-up ship already researched.. then noticed it was the Podvoisky. Couldn't remember how an when I played her, so I took her for a ride... and what a ride it was... The game was won and I had a lot of fun in "going full russian!", like "sail straight at the Graf Spee coming round that island 8 klicks ahead of you, which already can see you, as you are spotted by a plane, and when you're only about 2 klicks away from ramming it, make a sharp turn right and torp the everlovin' feces out of it - BOOM! Spee down.." In the end I was the only DD (of six total in both teams) still alive (with ~25% hp) and was among those who did shoot at the last enemy - the CV - and nearly sunk it (a BB got him...) Three sinkers, 65k damage, two caps... 5894 SUPERUNICORN!!! rating. First I thought I'll get that ship to 10 battles and grandfather it... now I'm not so sure about that. I had quite some fun in the old Gnevni going "full russian" once in a while, but with her being upgraded, Gnevny isn't that good for krazy anymore... time will tell... Oh.. and three battles with the Krispy Kreme over the last three days... only one battle won, little damage done, few ships (well, ONE ship) sunk... but still it's fun to go dakka-dakka-dakka while the team gets sunk all around you, dodging shells and effectively doing not much real damage, unless you find the perfect spot behind an island and... ah well.. So... 17 battles. 82% winrate. 41k average damage and 1.18 ships sunk per game.. 2441 unicorn rating (says WoWs S&N) and four ships grandfathered. Still a few more to go, though... -
DD play at T6 and above is now broken ...
Deckeru_Maiku replied to Alzy's topic in General Discussion
When playing my Kamikaze I rarely have problems with radar or getting uptiered to T7 So easy solution: only play T5 DDs and let the high tiers see how battles without DDs "work" (hint: they don't...) -

Right now there's about 720k FrExp on my account. So in a while I will get me the Musashi. Why, you ask? Because I don't even think about ever buying me that blue-printed harbor installation called "Krohnstadt"

Yeppers... Sometimes it pays of to be not too brave at the start, but to wait 'til the smoke of battle has cleared a bit and some enemies have been taken out of the battle already. And THEN play the objectives... Right now, it's easy to see that the DDs playing it a bit more calm survive longer, as the others get radared and sunk in the caps they want to take... so wait a bit and (re)take the caps later, when there's no more resistance.

Typical weekend day today. So I wanted to try something - get a couple ships in my harbour to "proper" battle numbers. And this is the result Five battles in my Warspite (three wins, two losses). The first two were losses... one with 125k damage done and four kills, the second with 54k damage and two sinkers... only the rest of the team didn't manage to do anything except getting sunk all around me. To get the Warspite to 500 battles total, I had to do three more... three wins followed with nice stats, so the day ended with 75k average damage, 1.2 kills per battle and a Unicum PR. Total stats for 500 battles in the Fat Lady: 56% winrate, 48k average damage... now she get's some rest (for a while) Next was Mogami... needed one more battle to get to 200 total. Turned out it's last battle was a meh one... 25k damage and nothing achieved and a loss... Over 200 battles it had 41k damage average and a 53% winrate. Sold her... Fuso also needed one more battle to reach 200. Again a team decided to die all over the map.... I managed three sinkers and 87k damage in a loss... Over 200 battles the Fuso averaged 50k damage per battle and had a 53% winrate Ten battles to go in the Minekaze to reach 600. Only did one today and it was a nice win with 54k damage, a sinker and a cap in a won game... Yubari has some more battle to do before she reached 500. So she saw action today, too. Terrible battle... right at the start two divisioned DDs shot at each other, which was the perfect omen for what was to come... our four DDs vanished within the first five minutes. Our BBs and other cruisers decided to do... well, nothing... and I played too aggressive and was sunk early, too... 18k damage and nothing done.. not even a plane shot down... and of course a loss... I got a bit frustrated and wanted to club some seals... but some bad choices in my Kamikaze got me sunk without achieving much... and getting no support when trying to cap was no real help too.. a loss... meh last battle of the day saw me nibbling a bit on a Nelson, not really doing much damage but probably annoying it without end. He was able to fire once (!) at me in return and didn't score any damage... I only managed som 12k damage, but the rest of the team did better this time and we won... well, THEY won... and I got carried. Took exactly zero damage in the battle... nothing to be proud of, though... So... eleven battles, five wins. 53k average damage. One sinker per game (average) and still a "Very Good" PR in total... Three ships taken out of the rotation. Tomorrow I guess it's time for St.Louis (the T3 one) and Fubuki to reach 150 battles each and get "grandfathered" (for a while at least... ) -
Two battles on Fault Line: Domination today. One in Minekaze (win) and one in Crispy Creme (another win). First battle with Minekaze - at a total of four DDs per team - saw me going straight for B, capping it, spotting an enemy DD and then continuing to spot... 54k damage, a sinker and a win... In Crispy Creme I headed in the general direction of C with four other ships of "my" team, getting blasted in chat because I continued to fire in the general direction of the enemy team which "would give away our postition" to which I answered "exactly what I want". Stopped reading chat then, as a Nelson caught my interest, when it tried to cap B. The puny "ding-ding-ding" damage of the Crispy Creme is not enough to sink a Nelson, but throwing enough metal in it's direction keeps it from capping and a fire once or twice needs to be repaired which gives other allies the chance to sink it - which was what happened in the end. Terrible damage - only 12k - but again a win... So... yeah, Fault Line is probably not to everyone's taste... but I like it.

if they already sit behind their islands, they will soon see me even further behind them instead of risking my ship for them... easy choice... if team = egoistic than me = egoistic activated

After an ordinary week with no real great days today I ended up being at Unicornish Level (= Opinion of WoWs Stats & Numbers, not mine!) again. Due to the "Cleveland Incident" I decided to play anything but cruisers today. Two battles in Bismarck. One loss, one win. Only 41k damage average and only one sinker in total.. still rather meh.. Tried Amagi instead... Yamamoto still needs some exp... and it worked out nicely. Got me 88k damage, two sinkers and a win... and WoWS S&N calling me Superunicorn... Next I took out my Fletcher. Yeah, nice playing DD with four radar ships per team... but with only two DDs per team, there's still a lot of space. So being sneaky and spotting and weaving along, I managed three kills (with measly 23k damage...) and two caps in a won game. And another Superunicorn! Fletcher worked well, so I tried the Gadjah Mada. And it worked well, too. Didn't compete for caps, but just spotted and sneaked and shot me a T9 BB (controlled by a Rank 1 player ^^), assisted in taking two caps and won the next game... and got called Superunicorn by WoWS S&S again... Last battle of the day was in a cruiser though... Krispy Kreme... and boy did that one turn out nice. Domination on fault line with many islands to hide and passages through which the enemy has to come... 71k damage and three sinkers, a cap and a win... and a well deserved "You are a Superunicorn!!!" So... not many battles today, but nice 83.33% winrate, 58k avarage damage, 1.67 sinkers per game and a Unicorn PR... guess tomorrow I will utterly s*** again to even out the statistics -
If they don't, they will find me behind my side's BBs, waiting for the cleanup being done. Won't waste my pretty ship for players not doing their jobs
-
...so as a DD you don't try to compete for caps, but start spotting for your BBs until those nasty radar cruisers on the enemy side have vanished.... then you cap... enemy DDs that stormed into the caps at the start might have taken them, but should then have been wiped out by your side's radar cruisers... Patience sometimes is the source of success!

Only argument to say the map is okay as it is: Today: Krasny Krim in T5 battle, Domination on Fault Line. Result: Three sinkers, 71k damage, won game... First came an assist as I shelled an enemy DD at C so he managed to overlook the torps my allied DD sent at him. When a New York tried to sneak into C through the tight passage (near that "Lionhead Island") I managed to first stick three torps in it, then - as he of course repaired the flooding instantly - lit the barbeque... the shelling by an allied BB helped to get it's HP down, so in the end he burned out like Elton John's "Candle In The Wind". "My" team was capping A then and a lone BB went for B, with two BBs and a cruiser of the enemy's team going in and through C. I harassed them, while running away in the general direction of A 'til the cavalry arrived. Managed to sink two more enemies - low HP ones - and capped B before looking for the last surviving enemies... It was a fun game. Like many others I had on that map, playing a DD or the Leander or most of my other ships.... If you get a lousy team it might turn out a nightmare, but that's the same on any other map too. So I can't say I agree with you, but what you write isn't totally bollocks... just a bit too much frustration and probably too much eagerness to win against horrible odds due to a potato team. I on the other hand do like to win, but when I see the team being potatoes right from the start, I don't care much about winning or losing, but just want to sink as many enemies as possible in the most glorious way! And you can always do that on Fault Line
-
I love my Furry Taco... don't take it out to play nowadays though, as there's so many other nice ships around. Pepsicola isn't on that "nice ships" list.
-
Yeah, I noticed that too today in a battle with my Gadjah Mada.. two DD per side, 5 BB per side and of the rest 4 cruisers per side had (or could have had) radar... I was radar spotted once and lost 50% hp before I managed to fade out of radar range, but did stick around while my side's cruisers were harassing that Cleveland. And I put 5 torps in a sneaky BB that was going for a cap... and then burned it down... I had told my team right at the start that I wouldn't go for any cap due to radar cruisers, but look for a straight sailing BB to torp. Nobody really complained... and in the end, I was the last DD alive with 83k damage done, a sinker and two cap assists. So, right now, I'm quite happy about all those radars around... makes for less DDs in the battle, which suits me well, as I'm a sneaky one and don't like to fight it out with other DDs battling for caps for more aggressive BBs that think radar will keep them from getting torpedoed until it's too late for more aggressive cruisers, that want to hunt DDs until they notice they are still squishy as s**t when BBs shoot at them So yeah, right now playing DDs a bit more passive is the thing to do. Being sneaky helps a lot. Bad times for russian light cruisers DDs, I guess though..
