What is the stupidest thing you did today?

Played DD again and expected support when capping... Guess I'll never learn....

    Ships that need a buff

Did I mention already, that I think that the Krasny Krim desperately needs a spotter plane?

Sorry, stopped reading after "How short..."

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Only had time for five battles today, but ended up winning three of them. The two losses came in Yugumo and Hsienyang... DDs... which need some support... which I didn't get. In the Ibuki I managed to chose the wrong flank and had to retreat, while an allied BB did a perfect "kemp bush" job making sure the enemy shot a me not him... nonetheless I could keep the enemy from doing something vital for a while, which didn't help my stats but helped to win the game... In my Musashi I extended too much and got focussed down, but I managed a bit of damage and a sinker and allowed my allies to rush into the spot I had opened... And in my Krasny Krim I just did what I always do.. Dakka-dakka-dakka.... fire falling from the sky... the game was... interesting. Normal battle on Solomon Islands (southside).. I was killed about one minute before the clock ran out, allowing the allied Furutaku to sink the last enemy DD, leaving us with said Furutaka and a Bogue without planes vs the enemy Zuiho - which still had planes - and a New York... The points were even... or nearly even, as they ticked asynchron, so that the lead changed every couple seconds... in the end, the clock reached zero with our team being in the lead... one point ahead... one... point... So, terrible stats but a 60% winrate today..

    German BBs

yeah, about what I usually do, except that in most cases cruisers run off as soon as an enemy appears... But Kongo is good for flanking actions. And even with my risky playstyle I manage an 60% winrate and average damage of 45k with all my Kongo clones... not great, but not to shabby either Still don't see her as a tanking BB...

    German BBs

For me it's sometimes the too aggressive playstyle I do when I get frustrated with the other potatoes around me... So quite often angling isn't an option when I'm surrounded by enemies - which happens often when I play BB

Duuuude... I ain't no Unicorn... barely 55% winrate... Although that Yubari battle gave me some quite unicornish 3608 WoW S&N PR Todays only unicornish battle was in the Krasny Krim... T5 Domination Battle... 73k damage done, three sinkers, couple cap defenses... lost game. Exp wise I would have been the #4 in the winner team - alas, for a win the exp would have been higher... - but so I ended in the #1 loser spot. Still 4032 WoW S&N PR. The other battles were nothing to talk about... and only a 50% winrate today..

    German BBs

Considering the armour of the Kongo is not the best and her shotguns don't work that much better at shorter ranges I can understand potatoes playing her as a long range sniper... Not that I would do it... not my playstyle... I'd rather go down in a blaze of glory with secondaries blasting away in all directions around me...

Weekend... ah, weekend... Somehow I managed to play like an utter potato today. A Stats&Numbers PR of 932... horrible... 34k average damage... lousy... 80% winrate... terri.... oops... The only game I felt good with came with my Yubari in a "no CV" battle... Standard battle on Pig Race. Battle went this way and that, and in the end I was one of the two survivors on the winning team, with a BB capping the enemy cap and me keeping the last enemy - Kuma - from capping ours by "just being there behind an island..." Okay, doing 55k damage and two sinkers helped a bit for me thinking of it as a good battle. Had to do a good battle though, as I was greeted by a team member as "forum scrub" and after he got sunk he messaged me that he watched me play to "learn something". If I had messed this one up I would have felt terrible... sorry that I forgot your name, but you got a +1 for greeting me
  11. I'd rather have rum, sodomy and the lash - alas, rum and the lash are optional...
  12. just met @St_Cuthbertin his Yugumo in the enemy team when I was fletchering around a bit... seems all his cheetahs failed him, as my bodyguards sank him when we ended up competing for the same cap... Pure luck on my side.. I just had the better potatoes on my side.

    Realistic Radar

Due to game mechanism reasons ships grow as they get further away from each other. If a BB and a DD would be at exactly the same spot - meaning the DD would be IN the BB - they would have realistic historical sizes. As soon as the ships move away from each other they start to grow - the further away they are, the bigger they become (up to a certain limit of course). Reason being: if the game would use a realistic scale for ships several km away they wouldn't even been visible on most screen resolutions.

Darn... it's the A, Bs and Cs? And I though them naughty peoples were marked by the [SCRUBS] in front of their names... silly me...

Not much to mention for the last couple days, except for terrible teams. So... today I tried the new mission for a first and second time in my Cleveland, which I hadn't played since she got upgraded. First ended with me dieing fast and three stars, the second gave me five stars... and the free exp I needed to get me the Musashi... So the rest of the day was me testing the Musashi, first in some CoOp battles, then in a random battle... I put Yamamoto in as a captain and configured the Musashi a bit for secondaries - even though they aren't that great, but what the hey... - and it worked out okay-ish... The CoOp battles were - of course - won. And it was intersting to see what the Musashi can do... In the random battle I managed 138k damage and two sinkers, a cap assist and a win, even though I got sunk in the end. One game can't tell much about what a ship can do (or can't do) but I *think* I will like what the Musashi can do for me... After that, I also had another battle in the Crispy Creme... for once I was even high tier in a T5 battle. The usual "shell them from afar, then penetrate their citadels when they get close" worked for 44k damage and two sinkers in a win on the Pig Race map (standard mode). Even managed some really far, far, far away hits on the last enemy ship - a CV - though it was sunk by someone else...

Operation Cherry Blossom - Your First thoughts?

Went in without knowing anything about that mission. Used Cleveland - the first game in her since the "Upgrade" to T8 - died early, but not too early... got four three stars... Next attempt I knew a bit better what to do and managed to survive until the end. Sank some DDs, shot some planes, managed all goals... five stars done. I'm not a fan of the "use Cruisers only" restriction, but I can understand it, as the mission is designed for cruisers. I like the "night battle" mode, but would wish for the option to use starlight shells or searchlights myself... apart from that 4/5 good mission...

    Radar the numbers

Nah, I meant the days when it was about shooting goals and trying to win instead of playing to not lose... Namewise there's also Arsemonkeycastle... *cough* Better hurry up... would hate to see y'all leaving. I'm from Braunschweig and we had loads of Brits around there when I grew up in the 60's/70's. Many of them even staid after their time of duty was done. I think there's still many of them living in or around Wolfenbüttel (~10 km away from Braunschweig).

    Radar the numbers

I'd say two effing radars per battle would be enough... and it's not so many more I've encountered the last few days. @Aotearas. @T0byJug and @Redcap375: Not all germans are depressed now... ever since that horrible game in Córdoba I had no interest in Rundballtreten (Roundballkicking ) at all. In the olden days football was kinda interesting... but it all went downhill... I rather see american football games instead. Oh, yeah.. german here... And have all You Brits already asked for asylum for when the Brexit really comes upon y'all?
  19. Considering name and avatar, shouldn't you only play US ships anyway?

    Have a following sea!

Too bad it's no longer "Gulag for hairy seals" now... And I'd rather have something like "May the sun always shine brightly in you face" instead..

    What to do?

Yeah, the sheer amount of draws in the last time is really terrible... Your problem is a quite common one for prople with the Arkansas B in their harbour. So the only chance to avoid it would be selling all Your ships, then starting a new account. On that new account You will be playing a lot better than on the current account, believe me...

    USS Alaska sighted

Will probably look great in my gunsights...

    Ships that need a buff

Crossdropping with Hosho works quite good against Cruisers and potato DDs... and considering how low tier battles often evolve, having to take out these instead of a BB becomes a regular experience... at least for me, when I - very rarely - play my sealclubbing low tier CVs. Langley works better against BBs with that single 6 torp spread... nonetheless against potatoes it can be as nasty as a Hosho crossdrop, when done properly... choosing the proper angle for the drop helps a lot against smaller and faster targets.. But yeah, as there's usually potatoes in T4/5 CVs I shouldn't brag about doing good in a Yubari
  25. Deckeru_Maiku

Just played a battle which has only 4 players

To all those people stating that the time of day is vital for battles like this to happen: Both random battles with only four players per side I had in my "career" came during the early or late afternoon (german time) which usually means tons of players around... Okay, both times it happened when I took my Mikasa out to battle... *cough*
