Got to Rank 1 earlier today, playing it "Hard Mode" by only using the Crispy Creme. Took me 35 battles. The last five of those I did today and all of those five were wins... I had tons of fun sitting behind islands and annoying enemy ships by sending them rainbows of HE love... I even managed to sink a couple...

Considering You do way more damage than I did, sink more ships than I did and proably survive more battles than I did, You must have had some really horrible teams... Well, I had some of those, too.. but then I got lucky... Of course, to rub some salt into the wound... I only used the Crispy Creme... probably one of the worst ships in the game (at least that's the common opinion) Maybe You should stick to the Marblehead? Mutsuki isn't really a good enemy for all those Kamikazes and Gremlins one meets in low ranked... and the Oktobrskaya is... well... it's no Nikolai... burned down a couple of them (although I also got sunk by a few...) Or just be patient... maybe You get lucky too ;)

Easy.. only play the same ship over and over and over until You got enough exp for the next. Rinse, repeat... when You're a potato it just takes a bit longer... *g* In conclusion of my "Hunt for the #1 Rank in Crispy Creme exclusively" I report success. It took a total of 35 battles - the last five today, with a 100% winrate ?!?!??!!?!!!! *** - and a total winrate of 60%, 30k average damage (max: 66k), 0.57 average kills (max: 3) Coming tomorrow, I will start the "Get to the #1 Rank with any which effing ship you want" on my sealclubbing alternate account. After those five ranked battles, I had time for some more. So I did my last battle (at least for a while...) in my Ibuki. After retraining it's captain, he will from now on command a Zao. That last battle was - of course - Epeencenter Mode on "Tears of the Cruisers". I had luck and got a good team. I also had luck that the enemies weren't really that good. And I had even more luck in finding a nice spot behind and island, from which I could lay several nice torpedo ambushes... in the end I survived, the battle, got a win, 90k damage and three sinkers... Feels like a good "last battle". I also had for once a good battle in my Chung Mu - with the help of an US DD (non division) who just did the right things when we held a cap together against several cruisers and BBs - in a "4 DD per side" battle. Usually a good chance for me to get sunk early. But this time with some help (see above) I managed cap assist, cap defenses (several) 100k damage (most from a single torp salvo giving me a kill by four torp hits on a Große Currywurst) but only one sinker (<--- Currywurst; he dodged all torps from one launcher, but sailed straight into those from the second..) I also got one of those temporal (?) "four kill krakens" in my Yubari... Epeencenter mode on Pig Race - always a pleasure in that nasty little bugger... no CVs around, but - I think - five DDs per team. So.. lots of targets for me... I got two of those, a cruiser and a BB that thought itself invulnerable to HE fire from 10 klicks away... So eight "random battles" after the ranked, and the winrate was an astonishing 75% *** I thought it interesting, that this "five game ranked winning streak" came during the early afternoon (german time) and produced several close fought and interesting battles. Seems to me, the later the day, the potatoisher the potatoes?!?

And not to forget: No backwards sailing without tugboats... Oh, all those BBs not getting the message and trying to get back behind the bush island they kemp behind.... *lol*

No. I'm usually quite astonished when my Karma value is >0 I never give negative karma to players of the enemy team, only to potatoes in my own team. I know it doesn't really do anything, but it's nice to imagine they might get salty for losing karma...

You don't control "a squadron" but "a bunch of planes" but that's nitpicking... as it is, the playstyle I've seen in videos is not to my liking. But I can understand that there are people who will think it's the next best thing since the invention of sliced bread in plastic packs...

It also doesn't spin around Ovechkin and Mother Russia. You were the one talking about a disrespectful thread, for whatever reason You might imagine.. And my solution treating WGs disrespect against navy people - which I'm not - is to just ignore these "famous captains" and use the options to now show all those fantasy "ships".

Only played ranked again today. And all in the Crispy Creme, as promised... I noticed the following: Most important class for these ranked are DDs. Kamikazes/Fujins are tough, but not an automatic win - there's lots of potatoes around in Kamikazes... Next important class are BBs - unless they decide to be utterly useless by not going after the objectives or hiding like little girls behind some islands, unable to shoot at anything. Cruisers are usually just canonfodder, unless they manage to stay way out of sight of all those Cesar Salads and Kongos... I didn't do particularly well in my Crispy Creme. Did seven battles today, starting at rank four, and managed to barely get to rank three with a 57.14% winrate. A couple of those battles were even fun, but most - even the wins - were rather annoying, due to the amount of potatoness being visible all over the battlefield. Astoundingly I managed to survive 85% of the battles... that's six out of seven! And I even survived some of the lost battles... All in all, the current ranked is in no way better than the usual ranked - same potatoes as in random battles, doing the same dumb moves... it's just even more frustrating, as even one poatato can have a large influence on the battle when there's only six players per team, especially when it's a DD potato...

Guess he's not the only one unable to figure that out... I find it rather disrespectful to navy personnel all over the world, historical and current, to put people like (ice)hockey players or bad actors in the game as "captains" just because WG hopes that "well known names" attract money. I appreciated it a lot that Stephen Seagull was renamed after a while... and I appreciate the fact, that I don't have to see an CV looking like an (ice)hockey stadium...

That depends on the definition of "fun" - from what I've seen it looks like WoWP and that game wasn't fun for me. And I didn't compare the new system to strafing - I just said that strafing is the reason why I don't play CVs much right now. And that the likeness to WoWP will be the reason for me not to play CVs when this new system gets implemented. If I would want to play a first person flight simulator, I would find a good one, not such a half-baked action simulation...

I didn't attempt to get in this "beta test", because using a plane system like in WoWP is not something I want to see in WoWs. Right now I don't play CVs much, because of the strafe mechanism, which I find ridiculous, and when the new system will get implementes, this probably won't change. Or probably change only to "not playing CVs at all anymore" just my 50 cent

When I press that Emoji button in the options field for formatting the post it just gives me an empty search and search result popup, in which I can do nothing... putting anything in the search field results in nothing... I want my smileys and captain emojis back, please...

Wenn ich auf Emoji klicke, wird mir nur ein leeres Such- und Suchergebnisfeld angezeigt... alle Cookies von WG zu löschen bringt die Emoji/Smileys für einen Post zurück, danach ist es wieder leer.

I would be already be happy if I were able to lock the main gun turrets to a neutral position - straight ahead for bow, straight back for stern turrets, like when the battle begins. Having guns pointing to whatever direction always gives me some yucky feel because of lacking realism...

I know that feeling dude... Krohnshtadt is all I say...

I'm from Germany not a hockey fan (for the last 30 years or so... before that I sometimes watched olympic hockey on TV) heard of him don't give a flying eff for anything connected to this missions an won't bother attempting to do any of them

I can fully understand Your pain today... Started with Rank 5 + 2 Stars today and after 10 battles with four (4 !!!) wins I barely managed to get to rank 4 (and back to 5, to 4 again... yuck) In the Crispy Creme not having a halfway mentally unchallenged team is vital... way too many battles where DDs decided to suicide immediately and BBs hang around behind islands with no chance to shoot at anything, while I wiggled my stern like a samba dancer to evade all the shells coming my way from 3+ ships... In my frustration I even took out my Kamikaze for a ride... on my alternate account though... gave me two wins and a loss... but teams still were horrible... Will continue to Crispy Creme to Rank one tomorrow... I once had a row of 100 containers get with no supercontainers among them. The 105th or so was one, which gave me some desperately needed flags.. like.. +5% speed or so... 100 flags.. A while later I got another supercontainer which gave me the Crispy Creme.. at first I was like... "WTF????? Really????" but now I learned to love that little wreck... Looks like a well-deserved report for me.... I mean, it's obvious, that you must have been cheating, right? :cap_cool: <- damn smileys again not working for me

My battles were all solo... never got the hang of divisions ^^

Can't really understand the whining in this thread... played ranked today and had lots of fun in my Crispy Creme... Sealclubbers in Kamikaze, Fujin, Gremlin etc. etc. weren't that often to be seen.. probably one per battle or so.. and usually not really sealclubberish enough... makes me wonder, if all those "premium ships" are really that good in the hands of the ordinary poatato.. I'd say they aren't, but... *shrug*

And I was talking about solutions too fast... seems it only helps for quite a short while.. like... one post or so

'cause all I get when I click that smiley face it an empty list. I want my captain, fishy and all the others back pls... (Guess I'm just too dumb to find the solution, so for once I call for help)

I'm at rank 5 +2 stars after 13 battles.. but I'm using Crispy Creme exclusively...

I wonder why my stats aren't shown in that list.. 61.54% winrate and 13 battles to rank 5 +2 stars doesn't sound too shabby to me...

In the Revolutskaya? Not a real challenge, is it? No screenshots, but on WoWs S&N one can see... 13 battles in ranked today 61.54 % winrate 53.85 % survival rate 0.92 kills per battle in the Crispy Creme... Got - only - to rank 5 (+ 2 stars) though. Ended last in the team exp ranking twice (both wins), and at the #1 spot 4 times - two losses, two wins - and ~spot 3 in the other battles. The battles were fun and I definately will take the Crispy Creme to rank 1, just to read all those comments in chat about why I would want to punish myself by playing the worst ship in the game etc. etc. (which the Crispy Creme isn't - it's one of the best ships imho)

How far I did get? Uhm... right to the mission description... went back to play some randoms instead.
