What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Got those PEF missions - the ones for the special camo - done finally and played a lot of CoOp for "get them 10 caps/assists/defendeds" - which isn't that easy in CoOp with all them Bots doing their best to suicide asap and your teammates hanging around in the cap so "defended" doesn't come up at all - so I only had time for two Random battles. #1 was a very bad game in my Black, with only 19k damage done even though 2 sinkers came from that, and a loss #2 was a nice T7 game in my Krasny Krim. And there even was another KK in the battle, but on the enemy team - I rewarded instant +1 Karma to the player, for being masochistic enough to play the KK.. do that every time I meet a KK in randoms.. Luck was on my side this time, with way too many people again ignoring me going plink-plink-plink all the time. So in the end there was a win, two sinkers and 88k damage done for me, while the enemy KK got sunk (though not by me *darn*) and I didn't...

You know your matchmaking sucks big time

And how exactly would that be a problem?
  3. Met @Major_Damage225 in a CoOp battle today. He was in the Krohnshtadt and me in the Jean Brat... sailed side-by-side into the sundown, causing havoc among them poor bots and getting our kills stolen by some Missouri... still I managed enough damage to get the "180k to cruisers or BBs" mission done...

    Low level SEAL CLUBBERS

That battle gives the Kamikaze captain the title "Potato Clubber of the month" To be honest, the amount of fail shown by about everybody in that video is frightening... And even the Kamikaze could have done better at times, as there were lots of opportunities to inflict some more damage by using the guns... ^^

    Low level SEAL CLUBBERS

#1 & #2 - So.. I can of course only have impressions about T10 battles when I'm in a T10 ship? What utter ox feces is that???? I've played a sh*tload of T8 and T9 battles already and at least in 30% of these I end up with a bunch of T10 monkeys hugging their island waifus... 30% means about 500 T10 battles... which is about the same amount of battles You probably played at T10 in your T8 to T10 ships. And yeah, sometimes going into a T10 battle feals like sealclubbing... or rather more often like carrying a sack of potatoes. #3 - players at T10 pay the same service cost if they get sunk or not. Many players don't know that and excuse their lack of bravery with the "high cost of getting sunk or taking damage" which just isn't there (anymore... there was a difference in service cost for damaged/sunk ships a long, long time ago...) So the only thing changing your finances when getting sunk early is that you miss on the chance to do additional damage and gather more credits for it. Which, when one plays like a pussy, wouldn't make much of a difference anyway, as damaging enemies while hugging your island waifu... ah well.. #4 - I don't think WG plots against me. I just think that WG has a business concept that is build on people getting to the high tiers and facing high service costs and all, so they feel themselves forced to buy premium ships and premium time and premium camo... while the people who rather play for free just go down some tiers to find more fun gameplay and less need to throw money at WG. But potatoes DO gather at T10. I see them all the time, in my team and in the enemy team. Utterly potatoish T10 straightsailing BBs that eat a full load of T8 torpedoes.. or Yamatos that think themselves unvulnerable to a Bismarck able to stuff their broadside with AP from 5 km out. (causing 4 citadels and a near dead - and seconds later dead - Yamato) and other signs of potatoismn. #5 - from what I see in the game, people complaining about their teams are right about it at least 75% of the time. And I don't mean me being right here. I mean people from the opposing team stating their team was made of potatoes with me being able to see what they did to deserve this.. and lo, the statement was the truth! #6 - so 10 from 19 battles (21st to 22nd Jan) is "every now and then..."? And even in a Division of three? Or is T6 not low enough to be low tier? I at least prefer to go hunting sealclubbers on my own when I go down in the depths of T3 and up... And the OP was about keeping players from playing whatever ship they want. Just check post #1 in this thread.. it's all right there.. And "I say they do so to feel good about being superior to less experienced players and avoid higher tiers cause they would feel mediocre among so many equally skilled players." is quite a bit offensive, I think.. How the flying eff would You be able to know WHY any other player plays as he does? I can only speak for me, but I don't feel one bit "mediocre" when going to T10, au contraire, ma chere... most of the time I feel utterly superior to all those flukes in their T10 ships, with little knowledge about how to use them, so they end up in the battle result behind my poor little T8 vessel... And when going down to T3 and up I expect to find a few players with nearly as many games as I have on the enemy team, so a challenging battle will be the result. Maybe you need to play a couple thousand more battles and do the trip to the low tiers more often - and without the help of a division - to see the light..

    Low level SEAL CLUBBERS

#1 - No, it's not. And as shown not everybody's stats suffer when reaching the next tier. Mine do, 'cause I only have 23 battles in the onyl T10 ship I have yet and very often get teamed up with those potatoes you think are non-existent on T10. Give me a couple more battles and I guess I'll be in the 55% win region with the Zao, too #2 - Nope. They make the same mistakes with the same frequency and they also play a lot more passive, because everybody tells them that "T10 players are soooooo great, you have to hug your island waifu to not get annihilated immediately" and so they do... nobody has that fear at the lower tiers, so gameplay is a lot less static and boring. #3 - Well, every potato will sooner or later have died his way up to T10 to experience "The Endgame tm" where they will herpderp around as potatoish as possible, while a lot of interesting, fast and non-island-waifu-hugging gameplay goes on in the lower tiers. #4 - so the logical step to avoid potatoes who think they aren't potatoes is to stay away from T10 and play low/mid tiers and have fun... Fun fact: in the end it doesn't matter at all which of us two is right... you play T10, I play all tiers... you probably have fun, I have fun most of the time... no problems...

    GAMEPLAY GETTING WORSE

Nah, it's not the GAMEPLAY that is worse... it's just the players that are playing as if they were utterly handicapped in every game relevant department - global brain functions, hand-eye coordination, logic skills etc etc.. - which leads to a less than desireable gameplay experience..
  10. Deckeru_Maiku

    Low level SEAL CLUBBERS

Perhaps because high tier battles aren't always fun? Due to too many potatoes and static gameplay. I don't use CE on my Yubari... And ever since it's torps got nerfed - long time ago - sealclubbing in the Minekaze isn't really that easy anymore. And I really don't care if another player's DD captains do or do not have the CE skill - I expect them to have it anyway. BTW following your argumentation "Air Supremacy" would have to become a global skill, too, as it probably is as mandatory for all CV captains as CE is for DD captains. So, sorry, but your idea IS bad game design and utter ox feces.
  11. Deckeru_Maiku

    Low level SEAL CLUBBERS

Exactly what we need in this game - even more BaBByseals dying their way up to the "Endgame" at T10 If ALL ships would get that -10% there is no need to give those 10% at all... you could just leave the visibility settings as they are, without any modification... So your idea would not only be "bad game design" but utterly useless... I prefer it the way it is now, thanks a lot... Oh and there's quite a few ships in my harbour who's captains do not have that CE skill. Because I don't see it as important for all ships...
  12. Deckeru_Maiku

    NOT HAPPY!!!!!

For prolonged connection problems some global compensation would be nice.. like a day or two of premium for all players active on these day mayhaps? Thats what is done in some other games...
  13. Deckeru_Maiku

    Low level SEAL CLUBBERS

& What You mean with "truth"? Oh, and as a sealclubber myself - you got to have to thin out the flock of BaBByseals as long as they are still young - I can assure you, there is no need for a T10 captain to do the clubbing...

Sooo... You're an experienced player from the NA server, coming to the EU server to club some poor newbies, just to find out you get outclubbed and now You come to whine on the forum? Hmmmm... Yeah, WG should definately do something about that sealclubber problem... like... maybe... having someone with a certain player tier on a different server not getting the newbie protection really new players usually get (at least for a couple tiers...)

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

One good battle today in my Zao. Domination mode on Sleeping Giant, starting in the north-western part of the map with an Iowa and a Shimakaze. Shima and me set course to the A cap, while Iowa idled to B and was replaced by a suicidal Große Pommes-Frites... When the first enemy ship - Henri IV - showed, the Shima did it's best not to be usefull, but smoked up cutting my view... next I looked there were two enemy BBs close to the island south of the A cap and an enemy DD going in for the cap, leaving me spotted and the main target for all of these ships... Shima send some really useless torps at those BBs, while I tried to survive and at the same time get some shots at the enemy DD.. But it was the Großfritz that got the DD, but instead of turning into the cap now, it sailed straight into hell - or rather at the two enemy BBs - which again made it impossible for me to use my torps (first the Shimi was in the way...) So I tried to stay invisible until the Großfritz went down, sent torps away and was glad to see our Iowa coming at us through the cap... I scored some torp hits and a short while later the BBs and the Henri were sunk. 'twas me who got the Henri... The battle was going on on the other end of the map, so I took the short route through A and B to get there. Iowa and Shimakaze sailed there around the islands below A, so they were a bit late to the party.. I found some nice islands to hide behind and annoy the enemy ships, gathering some more damage, before a Minotaur managed to rip me another one... Nonetheless it turned out to be a win, with me doing 178k damage (good for me in the Zao) but only one kill... My first battle in my shiny new Black turned out a win, in which I didn't really do that much, except for getting the killing strike on the enemy Shimakaze (without doing much damage, as an allied cruiser hit it about at the same time as I, just a bit earlier...) and doing some spotting/area denying... So a sinker and only 30k damage, but not that bad of a match, as it was a win and I even managed to survive 'til the end (which doesn't happen that often when I play DDs)

    Black or Flint

Had the same "problem" as the OP and came to the same result, but for different reasons: I generally don't like to play US cruisers, so I'm not in need of a trainer for US cruiser captains I already own a Dakka-dakka ship... Krispy Kreme (okay, it's only T5 but still loads of fun...) I already own the Sims, so a trainer for US DDs wasn't needed, but Black seems a bit like Sims on steroids with radar... soo... ... it's a Black, m'am...

    An Open Question to WG

Many players would be happy if some of the more... challenged... human players would be replaced by bots. Sadly this is not the case. What You experience are just the normal tactically, mentally and probably completely challenged everyday WOWs players.
  18. Deckeru_Maiku

Does this also happen at Tier X?

    corrected that for you
  19. Deckeru_Maiku

Does this also happen at Tier X?

Yes. For me it also seems as if the general gameplay at T10 is way worse than at the lower or mid tier. Reason: every potato has the Final Goal tm to reach the Endgame tm which of course can only be the last tier available in game. So they hurry through the tiers before T10 without any intent to learn anything, because "When I'm T10 I'm a great player because I am T10" Logic tm.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

okay, I got tempted and threw some money at WG for a 3 day premium to finish the PEF mission and tonight I got her... Did some CoOps in her and it seemed to me, she's not an utter failure. So I took her into a random battle. Got a T7 match, Epeencenter mode on Trident... Starting on the northern map side most of the team went south-west, with only the CV, a DD and me on the eastern map side. A Yorck set course to get to our CV, which was hiding behind an island, so I tried to intercept it. And there was a New Mexico trying to keep me from it. In the end, I managed to sink that Yorck before it got to do too much damage to the CV. And next the CV supported me when I went after the New Mexico. After I sunk it, I had time to check the battle situation.. and it looked really dire... From our team there were me, two DDs - Blyscawicza and Minsk - and our CV. The enemy had a total of seven ships - two DD, a cruiser, three BBs and their CV. In Addition, they also had capped the center. Nonetheless we had to try... and wow... it turned out well. First the CV managed to sink the enemy cruiser (with a little help from me..), then I went into the center and got into a kicking battle with one enemy BB and a DD... damaged the DD, and it got sunk by one of our DDs, but he had laid smoke for a nearly dead BB to hide in... Sooo... BB ahead, smoke to my right, allied DDs behind me.. FULL SPEED AHEAD! and damn, those allied torps were placed well... when the hidden BB made the mistake to shoot it's main guns at me and - of course - lit up like a christmas tree, I finished it off. Behind the last enemy BB the last enemy showed up, so I sicked my secondaries on it. Our CV got sunk by the enemy CV... So... me and two DDs against CV, two BBs and a DD... looked better already... The enemy BB right in front of me got sunk by those wellplaced torps that went just past me. And I managed to sink that DD in front of me. But then a well place torp salvo from the CV took me down. Two DD against one BB and the CV... CV was hiding behind an island close to the center and the DDs finished it off without any problems. But then the last enemy showed itself... he either had been hiding for most of the battle or at least had been utterly out of place... as it had still 75% hp, while both our DDs were < 50% hp But they used the most vital thing a DD player can use to survive and win a battle - their brains... They bothered the BB a bit, then went invisible and as we had managed to cap the center - and the two other rings - the points were now ticking for us... and it ended with a win. The DDs, the CV and me sunk a total of.... eleven (!) ships. One enemy (BB) survived... My result was: four sinkers, 118k damage, 24 (!) planes shot down... and the #2 slot on the result screen (with one of the DDs being ahead with 3 kills and probably more damage etc.) I don't expect many games like this... with the PEF being so bad I mean... ^^

Dude, you are doing it soooo wrong. That 10 seconds smoke is not just one puff of smoke, but a row of puffs every couple seconds, which means you can move at 1/4 speed and still stay smoked up. And the Perth has a fighter plane - or with the captain skill even two - which helps at spotting for yourself when smoked up. Add that it can shoot HE and you got an all around nice little ship..

[cv rework] no carrier limit ?

uhm.... Five BBs in almost every match since.. like... forever... Players calling for a hard cap on the BB number - like maybe four - for about as long --> result = nothing... T8 ships placed in battles with T10 ships most of the time. WG promising a change and allegedly implementing it. --> result: T8 ships still ending up in battles with T10 ships most of the time... Somehow this possible intervention when the feces hits the windmachine doesn't sound very trustworthy... And I really expect the matchmaking to be the least problem coming with this change *lol*

    namecalling

Most of the time. Btw.. was I the "other DD"? Sounds like it could have been me.. Happens so often though, that I usually don't bother to remember any names of other players on the team...

    Please fix Thunderstorm.

How should I know? I am neither a catholic monk nor do I like fish that much... *tadum-tssss* Serious though, getting a beaver's tail to prepare a meal from it would be a bit problematic, as the european beaver is a protected species. And I can't really be bothered to try to get some imported from the US, which would be my #1 candidate for selling stuff like beaver tails ( just check for "Roadkill Recipes" - they eat some really weird stuff on that side of the pond). As that tail is nearly all muscle, the recipe calls for skinning it, then wrapping it in some fat bacon strips and then roast it. Probably ends up tasting like chicken. Anything strange prepared as a meal usually tastes like chicken.
