It helps to not play stealthy. Fire the main guns early and newbie DDs will hurry into your range to get vaporized ^^ Wouldn't mind a secondary range buff though... getting a longer bang for your buck is always nice.

Uhm... that skill still only shoots at one target, right? So you cripple the Mikasa and her ability to go blazing through the numbers of enemy DDs, bringing death on both sides, for a teeny-weeny bit accuracy?Tsk, tsk, tsk.... Mikasa doesn't really need a buff. With a 19 pt IJN BB captain - like... Yamamoto.. - it can do quite a bit of damage, if it manages to get into range... Krispy Kreme is already quite fun to play. It could get even better if she had a spotter plane... ^^

Considering the amount of CVs I recently meet in lower tier battles a lot of effing is needed... it's like with BaBBies - you have to demotivated them when they are still small, so they never grow up to become full potatoes... ^^

No need to stay at T2 when you can Yubari the effing sh*t out of the T4 CVs ^^

And how long did it take you to get in range to do the shooting?

How to know it is weekend again? well.. easy.. check your battle result Bismarck... 219k damage done, Kraken achieved (among them both enemy CV), 53 planes shot down, 111 hits by the secondary guns, 100 main gun hits, a cap taken solo... lost battle due to the team suiciding like effing potatoes... Ah, weekends... *sigh*

Just had my former clanmates @xXx_Blogis_xXx and @hehehedog on my team... they did nearly as good as I - I had 5 kills, 119k damage, double kill, two devstrikes... - in my Furry Taco

Can't really remember a buff for the Warspite... And I got her as one of my first prems right after the beta The first cruiser that is as good as the Furry Taco is the Zao.. ^^ And the Lee-Ann is a very situational ship. I managed 58% winrate and ~43k average damage, but only because I played a lot DD before that. For me (!) the Lee-Ann is a DD with a (too big) citadel. If You manage to find a sweet spot on the map and have some mentally challenged enemies You can do an astonishing amount of citadel damage against most other cruisers which are dumb enough to show you their broadsides... The torps aren't that bad either...

Warspite > QE I'm trying to play through the QE, but she just feels so... urgh... compared to the Warspite, that I can't really get me to play her often..

Easy solution for all the problems mentioned above: Play T4 (or maximum T6) DDs if it has to be DDs you want to play. usually only two (often potato) CVs per side in the game T4 and T6 CVs are quite harmless for DDs playing a bit unpotatoish keeps you from being permaspotted and/or instakilled by cruisers ? winrar! Oh, and if you really want to have lots of fun then take a Yubari for a ride. Or an AA skilled Furutaka or Königsberg. Krispy Kreme can also annoy CVs to no end... As DD there's always the Sims.. What I mean is: either join the ranks of the CV potatoes yourself or play ships that make their potato life really, really, really unfun until they stop playing them. ^^

There once was a video somewhere in which this was shown and called "going full russian". Worked great with the old T5 Gnevny...

I wouldn't say it as harsh... I could think of some interesting operations in which the players not only have to combat bot controlled surface ships, but also bot controlled submarines. Alas, I never want to see any player controlled submarines in the game except for halloween special or similiar events.

I'm totally split about the CV rework... Before, I didn't play CVs a lot. Usually only when a "shoot x planes" mission was to be done. Or to annoy some babyseals at T4. Main reason was my inability to learn how to strafe... so it might be said, that the implementation of strafing killed CV play for me. Now, after the rework, I don't even want to play CVs anymore. The new mechanics are - for me - even worse to learn than strafing. And only going after damage, damage, damage... is just too plain boring. But... I have lots of fun now annoying CV babyseals at T4 by playing my Yubari. I used it before the rework to de-plane Hoshos and Langleys quite often, but it was less fun to meet the occasional T5 CV. Now it's pure fun... and them planes just fall from the sky like clubbed flies... 26 was the most for my Yubari recently... and the most I got for any ship ever were some 52 shot down planes in my Jean Bart. Even the Krispy Kreme, Königsberg and Furry Taco are a lot fun to play against CVs... So I don't really think WG achieved their goals. I rather think they really effed up royally. But at least I can have even more fun with potato CVs now, as there are so many around recently... ^v^

I have not seen any real effect when I used side-switching, so I stopped using it. Doesn't seem to make any difference... ^^

Well, I noticed that whenever I take out my Sims or Ducky d'Aorta for a ride, all CVs seem to vanish, leaving me with no plane kills :( So instead I used an AA specced - wait for it... - Königsberg. Didn't help that much either - 6 plane kills in three battles - but in one battle things got a bit weird... somehow enemy ships thought it good to ignore me, while I pummeled them... so in the end I had managed six - 6 - kills (among them one of the two enemy CVs - and around 100k damage... I got a bit unlucky in the end, so I was not able to sink the last surviving enemy ship - the other CV - but at least the game ended with a win... Some of the plane kills I needed I did get from my Krispy Kreme, when the two enemy T4 CVs decided to ignore most other ships and go for the one shooting down their planes a couple more times... so I got 9 plane kills... not great, but better than nothing. Did some 70k damage too and sank two ships in a won battle... The other battles of the day were averagelike... not too bad, not too good...

Played Perth and Edinburgh yesterday a couple times and managed 19 plane kills in total... played Sims today in one battle and some Ranger player really seemed eager to lose his planes against my AA... curiouser and curiouser, as Alice would say... ^^

Only had one good battle today... in my John Brat... uhm.. Jean Simpso... Jean Bart. Standart T10 Battle on "Tears of the Cruisers" with two CVs per side... Enemy team had a Hakuryu and a Shokaku... and for whatever reason the Shokaku was extremely desperate to attack me. Which allowed me a total of 52 plane kills... 39 of those from the Shokki... poor little sod... And in the end the battle was won, with my JB proudly in the enemy cap - not managing the cap though, as the last seconds ticked away - after having done 142k damage and a single sinker (some poor Neptune that thought himself immune to AP shells...)

Right now - and probably until there are some severe changes in this toxic new CV mechanic - I'm only playing a few selected ships. Like Ducky Hearts (Duca d'Aorta), Yubari, Isokaze for example... It helps...
