    Did they claim to be out of planes? Once had one such *** CV player donate point victory to enemy by suiciding "because he was out of planes".

    Like CV stubbornly refusing to move an inch despite of enemies pushing one flank and having been on approach course for minutes? Or in Strait CV just running toward that middle cap? Those are signs that player should never be given any ship except some old leaky rowing boat.

    Windows 10 is still in Alpha. After Win7 M$ hasn't done anything ready before releasing it. Why do you think they want to move away from separate OSes to continuously updating one?

    Think where that IJN DD would be and go to those positions or stay in front of own forces. If you get detection warning and don't see anyone there's probably IJN DD ahead of you. Possibbly in opposite course becoming visible in second or two. And as always with DD you should keep eye on how close known/spotted enemy cruisers are and avoid going near places where one could get close if you're alone. With DD's stealth and maneveurability going to center in Fault Line can work well. And if you see opportunity coming use islands as cover for launching torps. In open Nicholas has stealth advantage against Farragut and especially Mahan giving you first shots unless you bore straight in toward enemy.

    That was used when ship was losing its buoyancy aka flooding too much. For simply getting wrecked out from taking too much damage it wouldn't do good. It would need separate modelling of "functionality" hitpoints and buoyancy. Kinda like how Bismarck stayed floating despite of having taken so much damage from shells and fires that it was functionally dead.

    Any data corruption is possible sign of hardware problem. What components do you have in PC and has there been any kind other "misbehaving"?

    A nice display of teamplay

    Instead of per day compliments should be limited per number of battles played. While limit was little increased it still isn't that much if playing whole day. And game could really use giving player some small prize per certain number of received compliments. As for giving smoke cover depending distance to it and "zoom" sometimes game doesn't render/show at all. So game should give lot better indicators about presense and extent of smoke. (now CV's overhead view shows it best) Sometimes when I've made smoke screen I've had ships just keep sailing through it. That makes it often questionable if it's wise to spend time in creating smoke screen... That smoke charge might be also needed soon for getting out of bad situation when getting detected by for example enemy DD when close to enemy forces.

  9. 2km is "proximity detection" range for anything no matter behind what it hides. And sometimes smoke is literally invisible. Some distance and view zoom in combinations might be more prone to it. Different graphics settings might also affect to it. Basing to videos it seems that CV's overhead view show smokes and their size best...

Though I would have some examples for current client. Yesterday first disabled (engines) and eventually killed one Kuma with total of seven citadel hits and in another match gave Aoba five citadel hits while it was concentrated by multiple ships. And in one match side showing Omaha ate simultaneously broadside also from New Mexico. Got two citadel hits and kill but oh boy that Omaha was screwed... (I guess that would work as example for how to not play in cruiser) In this one had to eventually finish one Königsberg with APs when coward Kongo afraid of getting paint scratched just kept running away instead of smashing that cruiser like BBs should do. (I had taken more damage when facing that Königsberg than Kongo probably took in whole match) But for earlier clients I would have some very good examples. In early fall this target misprioritizing Omaha had ~18k hp which he lost in ten seconds from first hits:https://www.dropbox.com/s/mopr30opd7mcp32/Omaha%20Citadelled.jpg?dl=0 (first salvo aim was little off with 2 citadels+2 hits, second and third salvo hits were all citadels for as long as Omaha had hitpoints) In one Fault Line match after torping BB full hp Kuma came out from next gap between islands tunnel visioning to CV. So I gave its engine room nine new ventilation holes. (9 citadel hits equals to 22500 damage capability) In this one got really nice amount of AP damage: So DD APs can be very effective. They're just situational and skill needing with high risk without smoke cover. Though took out 20k Furutaka in one on one in that match.
  11. At those tiers play is more balanced. Besides ratio between torpedo boats and SN/USN gunboats being more even making surviving not so easy to torpedo boats.

    You don't need separate software and constant video recording would be just huge waste of storage space. http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/19222-enabling-replays-in-world-of-warships/ It's sometimes easy to forget some things. Once had Cleveland 11km away suddenly disappear from visible. Took few seconds to remember that direction was were "recently deceased" enemy DD popped up smoke and game has issues in smoke not always showing in all views or distances.

    16GB of RAM. After loaded once most of the game fits to disk cache in memory and you can start expecting to get into match with 40 to 50 seconds left in count down. With client's RAM consumption being below 2GB (probably to fit into those calculators) there's simply lots of RAM available for cache use.

    Tier X shimikaze what a joke!

    Compare number of players and battles! Hatsuharu has almost twice the players of Mahan and five times as much as Kiev. IJN torpedo boats have more "not so good" players because USN gunboats with are more demanding to survive and have decent influence to match. And Soviet DDs go into extreme in challenge meaning only good players remain. That kind differences distort stats seriously.
  15. Were those ships at 2km distance when spotted? Could be issue of how smoke isn't sometimes rendered/shown in any way... Not exactly nice in DD if even you don't know the extent of smoke when you're trying to use it as cover for running away.
  16. I guess some aren't used to that bigger/stronger ship won't run away and punish from mistakes. Couple days ago I saw basically full hp Kongo running away from Königsberg in one Big Race match leaving me to sink that Königsberg in DD. While I had already taken more damage (+down to three guns) than that Kongo probably took in whole match.

    Aiming guide could use some improving as far as destroyer gunnery is concerned. In general HEs should be aimed at more lightly armored parts of the cruisers and battleships: Superstructure and deck, or bow and stern. Citadel armor basically negates small caliber HE damage. Depending on distance and its relation to trajectory APs can do normal penetrations of battleship's lighter armored parts if showing its side. And quite many cruisers can be citadelled especially with Soviet 130mm AP: Perfectly broadside showing Kuma takes citadel hits up to 10km, Phoenix/Omaha up to 9km. Königsberg can be citadelled to similar ranges, but seems to be quite precise about where to hit. Many more side showing cruiser can be citadelled from 7km range. At close ranges those single lighter side armor cruisers can be citadelled unless they're considerably angled. (some German cruisers have Tirpitz-like angled second citadel armor behind main belt) If you have earlier game clients backed up I could provide some examples of that AP use.
  19. Those secondaries do damage, especially when showing that broadside for launching torps. Basically rush to point blank range needs half of DDs hp left to have chances to not be one way trip, if BB player doesn't have brain nerf. Unless getting to that 2km or closer in behind cover, meaning BB was already in bad/wrong place. Of course amount and type of secondaries varies between BBs. With upgraded B/C hulls adding further variation. And receiving lots of incoming fire can destroy secondaries, making them seem noneffective with only one or two shooting. And unless you want IJN DDs to become even more common you definitely don't want to buff secondaries. Lower tier USN DDs basically rely on those close range attacks. [edited]

    That's still trying to get cheap kills without taking any risks. While BB should be the ship holding the flank and drawing fire away from weaker team mates. Yesterday had Kongo literally running away from enemies and even deserting own cap running from Königsberg leaving me to sink it in DD. While I had already taken more damage than that coward Kongo took in whole match. Also he didn't have to worry torps because torpedo homing Isokaze was First Blood with Nicholas following soon as third enemy sinked.

  24. Yesterday I had BBs running away from enemy cruiser leaving killing it to low HP DD. With the way one Kongo was determined to keep far from any enemy and kept running away from Königsberg I wonder if he even got paint scratched.

    Darn BBabies running away from cruiser With the way that Kongo kept distance from enemies and run away from that Königsberg leaving DD to kill it I wonder if he got even any scratches on paint.
