People Complaining About Losing - Solution!
EsaTuunanen replied to TheFierceRabbit's topic in General Discussion
Some kind achievement sure would be reasonable when trying to carry those fail teams donating victory to just average enemy team. Besides battling enemy team this was as much battle against total incompetence of half of own team. Enemy Gnevny with its suicide range torps got ridiculous two Devastating Strikes: First one Phoenix suicided against it and then retard New Jerk just kept going despite of constantly seeing Gnevny. While own team Gnevny who should have at least scouted that flank hid behind big island of Solomons. And when he finally got his thumbs out of his arse he did barely hit or two to enemy Gnevny... (what's he even doing in game if he can't hit with those 130mm snipers?) Who wasn't even especially good because I rushed back from other flank to sink him without taking many hits temporarily saving CVs. Then there's this recent match of own cap deserters and suicide rushers... with Clumsy deserting scouting job and allowing Izya to get Devastating Strike against blind BBaby... Well, at least in this one enemy team recognized me from preventing them getting easy victory. -
If it makes you happier I stopped already Monday afternoon to 263 gotten only by playing Gremlin.

shouldn't Captains be given a visible rank status under their name in battles? so that all the noobs can stop given out BS strategy plans?
EsaTuunanen replied to Maston_1's topic in General Discussion
Huge number of battles doesn't even quarantee understanding own ship. I know player with now 3600 matches with ships up T7 with average damage of mighty 6,7k. As in 10k average damage in T6 BBs... -

You forgot the part of them often then blaming others in chat when they got their butt handed to them in their suicide rush or showing citadel for half of the enemy team while straight lining. -
Now what was that certain general Patton did say about the French...
-
Just think of the happy days for "gunslingers" when all those Kamikazes clog the matches. With "just" 37,5 kts speed they're also easier to catch than Minekazes. Anyway got my 263 pearls yesterday afternoon. I think I won't go for extra 15 pearls I could get quite easily by playing also few other ships.

Until you have ships rushing in and suiciding in place where they shouldn't go like cruiser/BB going to center in Fault Line. Same for center cap in Strait exposing their side. Or in two cap mode players just deserting defense of own base and rushing to enemy base to suicide by getting shot at from many directions. That Clemson run away from own base and DD screening job and being part of allowing enemy Izya with its suicide range torps to get ridiculous two Devastating Strikes. And then few cruisers suicided with him.

It starts to get ridiculous how much XP can be gotten without doing extra heavy damage to enemy team just by taking same cap three times.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?
EsaTuunanen replied to Hanszeehock's topic in General Discussion
Well, you can feel sorry for him without regret. That Yorck got chased from my team base almost to the edge of map by me and both Clevelands with match being something like half minute two long for him to survive. For myself that match was joy to play with everyone... well, most of the team playing sensibly. -

How about some "plane swatting" in DD when enemy CV didn't let me close to torping distance of that Wyoming in cap? And thanks to enemy Kuma for showing his citadel for so long that when he finally turned away couple HE salvoes finished the job. But no thanks to own team including Clumsy running away from defense of own base and DD screening job also letting that Izya with its suicide range torps get ridiculously two Devastating Strikes. And I wonder if that enemy team blamed AFKs for their loss... -
I wonder if that enemy team blamed AFKs... Not sure what Minekaze did, because of only enemy DD being found (&shelled to cripple+torped into smoke) in flank with those small islands, but otherwise team played well. Most of the team went to other half except for me and Tankdestroyer who stayed behind me up to sighting of enemy and killing that Nicholas. Then instead of futilely trying to stop superior force he moved to center, while I stayed to monitor enemy's progress and encourage them to do turns. Enemy again basically split their force into two with that other half getting chewed. At which point their other half started to get chewed on while still en route to cap. Only Fuso and couple cruisers made it into cap. Then at that point half shape Fuso forgot to not sail in straight line eating three fishes with flooding and shelling sinking him soon. In the end one of those Yorcks got chased from the cap almost to map's edge by two Clevelands and me. Seeing those two sitting AFKs didn't promise good. But in the end was joy to play with sensibly playing teammates with no suiciding cruisers etc. After lately seeing so many players either showing their BB's side to enemy BB/sailing into torpedo ambush or tourist cruisers just in general suiciding. Like in this match which became "plane swatting" when enemy CV didn't let me close to torping distance of that Wyoming in cap: Though got to thank enemy Kuma for showing his citadel for so long that when he finally turned away couple HE salvoes finished the job.

You should have answered that it's citadel showing straight line sailing enemies-mod.

The torpedo damage of usa dd's is really bad
EsaTuunanen replied to HipHopHippopotamus's topic in Destroyers
You sure those all didn't hit the same spot with that part of ship running out of hitpoints? -
And those craptacular fails happen regardless amount of player base. Few days ago had this kind enemy team: 2x Nagato, Fuso and New York vs. New Mexico (&bad fail boater) 2x Kongo and New York And that New York was only T5 ship in enemy team while my team had some of the worst ships of the game as two T7s: Atlanta and Sims.

Dear WG please reconsider gradual dispersion of benefits for the upcoming v0.5.3 captain skills instead of strict "binary ON/OFF" cut-off points!
EsaTuunanen replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
And would become about useless for ships with very slow traverse speed. I don't think Yamato needs currently any buffs when looking statistics.- 32 replies

It's good bet you can keep dreaming on.

Found a 770 match player in Myoko who doesn't know Gremyashcy's detection ranges. He had sub-5k hitpoints and I just sniped him from 11-12km range for 27 hits while his evasions were basically nonexistent and predictable. Kinda makes me wonder how he's gotten that far without learning to evade incoming fire. Anyway his team had already lost match at that point...

Statistics Galore - State of WoWS (final episode)
EsaTuunanen replied to Crysantos's topic in General Discussion
Submarines were so slow they would never ever reach enemy CV during 20 minutes. They weren't any "tactical" weapons to be used in hurry, but instead were tasked to patrol strategically important places waiting enemies coming through area. Or sent to strike into fixed position targets with torpedoes or leave behind mines as surprise gift to enemy. -
Sergei, load the Stalinium shells! - Khabarovsk Commentary
EsaTuunanen replied to Pupu_prpr's topic in Destroyers
I've done 291 in Gremy with just four guns, whose cruiser slow traverse also lowers shells per minute rate when needing to change direction. So with eight guns and faster firerate (+less time spent on waiting guns turning) you shouldn't expect less from good game.- 27 replies

Nicholas - smart use of smoke = tons of damage and lots of XP! ;)
EsaTuunanen replied to Trigger_Happy_Dad's topic in Archive
I think you forgot to mention that might be better to first be sure that there's no enemy Clemson or Nicholas close to dump 12 torps into that smoke. -
It's quite often invisible and after small movements to avoid possible incoming fire you usually have no idea about how close you're to smoke's edge.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
EsaTuunanen replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Still keep playing for first five minutes to see if other ten in team are total fail boaters. With time and point limits there isn't enough time to alone sink every enemy if rest of the team can't do anything... other than suicide. As sidenote latest challenge was nice in not dictating that you can't hunt cruisers in DD... -
Consuming everything combustible available if left unchecked... Again ignition is dependant on high enough temperature and even smaller explosion can do that... Just inside smaller radius, which is kinda like that fire probability of shell. And destroyers hardly have time to burn because of HE's doing lots of direct instant damage. So unless DD has smoke available to stop rain of incoming shells even using repair to put out fires won't help.
-
Also decreasing engine power can help to make that turn to avoid whole torpedo salvo. Of course if you're the only ship facing multiple enemies that turn might offer them big target and possibly expose to citadel hits if enemy uses AP. So once again that good positioning is important for "managing" risks. Ranked battle becomes available after you've reached certain level for player account.

Anyone checked if it broke 0.5.2.3 replays? Just have to wonder why WG can't put it into patch alert notes.
