No need for higher repair cost. Just make it say 5k per fired fish...

patch. 6.0 is a massive battleship buff, nerf to the rest.
EsaTuunanen replied to gizaman's topic in General Discussion
No because problem of bad players can't be solved by messing with classes. That needs punishing bad play and using stick on those Balless Boats hiding at rear border/humping map borders. 10% buff to reload speed is anything but powerfull. Also DDs have in general such weak AA that any similar level buff to it still means bad AA. With Situational Awareness becoming automatic skill and removed from skill tree BFT was just best option out of remaining skills for DDs. -
200 millicredits? That's not exactly good credit sink. Well, at least it wasn't nanocredits.... While Italian torps had problems when used in submarines aka not detonating and just ending sticking out from target's hull. And didn't also Germans have some problems in getting torpedo to detonate when hitting target? Like said, testing is overhyped... Or you know, it might reveal that new shiny product is faulty... or at least actual mass production units.

EsaTuunanen replied to gizaman's topic in General Discussion
That's because BFT was at least little usefull skill for destroyers. That slight performance buffing chance needed to be replaced by basically completely useless skills for decent DD player. (and Last Stand is still needed to be able to count on functional engine/rudder after hit) Similarly TAE wasn't yet expensive enough for its meager 10% reload speed buff. To be replaced by TA which is useless for most destroyers and with more and more risks for DD going to closer overall harder to afford. You sure it isn't Stephen Elop in there? -
Gremy-ahchoo? Gesundheit. But Gremyashchy? Looks like lots of them are failing hard in the hands of potatoes: https://eu.warships.today/vehicles Though gotta admit I keep often dropping WR by one match for those occasionally in enemy team. Today in fact two Gremy division got defeat when facing team with me and other Gremy player, so that dropped WR tiny bit toward 50%. And bonus points for not detonating unlike in previous two matches (80% + full hp) with iEarlGrey in enemy team... Guess his detonation in previous match (told when commenting in start of the match) must have satisfied bloodthirstiness of RNGesus. More precisely next to Nikolai and Fujin/Kamikaze R in "balanced" ships pier wasn't it?

The Manly Mans Manly BB Game Play Thread
EsaTuunanen replied to Spuggy's topic in General Discussion
Nvidia has their ShadowPlay for real time encoding of video. (5-10% performance penalty if GPU running 100% to run game) AMD probably has something similar for their graphics cards. Then some software like Open Broadcasters Software can use GPU integrated to most Intel CPUs for good quality encoding without performance penalty. (unless you're using that integrated GPU for game) High efficiency encoding (good resulting quality for bitrate) is very CPU demanding if done on software. Other solution is to use simpler compression for initial recording with final high efficiency codec encoding separately... But that will take easily gigabytes of space. (pure uncompressed 8 bits per color channel per pixel video would take insane amount of space)- 315 replies

New players have separate MM pool for up to Tier 3.Which just probably hasn't helped really any, because there's no mandatory basic gameplay lessons and no enforcing of learning some absolute minimums to get forward. If you want new players to feel less disadvantaged you should work to solve that player skill problem. No matter what you do to captain skills cruiser/battleships who shows side for half the enemy team to shoot at is going to get smashed fast. Same for sailing in straight line in open (or regardless of carrier attack), or to torpedo ambush behind island. There's one 1500 match German failbot with 1½k average damage in Karlsruhe and 5-6k in Königsberg and Nürnberg who's sabotaged over 500 matches in 13k average damage Derpitz.
-
And there's already that Survivability Expert skill which gives bigger advantage to higher tier ship.

Have you looked for and cleared cookies for WG's/Warships sites? Anyway at least it's better this way... Would be worser if you couldn't log in.

Have noticed that problem earlier.

What do you want for wows in the next year?(includes poll)
EsaTuunanen replied to _ASW_'s topic in General Discussion
And then preventing absolutely worst players from sabotaging PvP in anything but lowest tiers. I mean there are those who have sabotaged over 500 matches in Derpitz with 13k average damage and awesomely high 9% hitrate. Similarly in week or two 7k battles with 8½k average damage tells that's only 13th player for enemy team.- 59 replies

We need a harsher high tier-Noob/Bot punishing economy.
EsaTuunanen replied to havaduck's topic in General Discussion
Bad idea to use battle count expect for having some minimum requirement so that it isn't new player who's had luck with teams. That failbot in FdG I told about has almost 8k battles. And then there's in week or two 7k match fail bot with mighty 8½k average damage: Kongo: 6,4k Fuso: 7,6k Nagato: 11,5k New Mexico: 10k 6,2k in Minekaze and 6k in Nicholas aren't any better. (2,7k in Old Mutsuki + Farragut 5k, Mahan 6,6k) 7/6/9k are also below abysmal for sniper guns of Gnevny, Ognevoi and Kiev. None of those definitely aren't because of suiding rushing... Guess he must be constantly complaining to WG support about XP cost of higher tier ships because of not yet having anything above T7 except few DDs. (9,7k in old Fubuki with 80 battles, others only few battles) Then there's 1500 battle (obviously) German master race failbot with equally abysmal damage. 5½k in Königsberg/Nürnberg. And of course Derpitz as only Balless&Brainless boat with over 500 matches sabotaged by 13k damage and awesome 9% hitrate. Unless map is Archipelago, Fault Line, New Dawn... Heck, in New Dawn B is risky place for even destroyer in early match and in Archipelago it's extreme risk place. -

That's still twice the average damage of one player in FdG. -
Like Hugh_Ruka told whole first line got basically quite useless for destroyers: It's always best to assume that most enemies with decent shot at you will want piece of you if you stay spotted and act accordingly. (and always plan ahead accordingly) So Tracking Alerts, Incoming Fire Alerts etc aren't really that useful. Neither is Preventive Maintenance that useful, because risk of engine/rudder damage from every hit still remains high with Last Stand being the only real help to that. Also with tiny -5% to reload time Jack of All Trades is now definitely quite useless skill. BFT was never any powerful. It was just at slightly helpfull level with its 10% buff. Competed by BoS also for cruisers to avoid some, unhealable for them, fire damage. Also faster swapping of shell could give heavy cruisers ability to switch to AP in time when seeing chance to shoot at broadside coming. Just like TAE was never any powerful with similar meager 10% buff, while even IJN DDs could use Expert Marksman and of course also Last Stand. And taking lots of low level skills was always harmfull for getting more expensive skills. While two catapult planes is anything else than trinket for spotting enemies hiding behind island and torps.

Actually EMCON doesn't mean inability to receive data. Military HQ could send units new orders or some new intelligence.

Public Test 060 tomorrow - new skills - without Keen Intuition...
EsaTuunanen replied to Smeggo's topic in General Discussion
So the solution to lack of the biggest counter of rear sitting BBs is more nerfs to other supposedly BB countering class? About only positive thing I could think of this skill is that it might slightly decrease disadvantage of USN cruisers in lacking torpedo ambush option compared to other cruisers. I was thinking after this they'll start planning some anti-torpedo autopilot skill for having ship make automatic course/speed changes... -
I'm positively sure half the players wouldn't qualify for captaincy of rowing boat and that in real life they would have been loaded into battleship's main guns for desertion and fired!

Is it time to remove capping from the game?

Bet none of those arcade racing games give you Ferrari by keeping crashing Fiat Punto into wall many enough times and being last in score board! -

How about using that stick to punish those who don't want to learn even basics instead of punishing those who have bothered to learn game basics? Not letting total failbo(a)ts to PvP say after Tier 3 or 4 would make it lot easier to maintain game/class balance. -

I've yet to see any specs for actual 8 core mobile CPU so you sure you're not messing HyperThreading to actual cores? (not that AMD's to be finally neck shotted Faildozer's wimpy core and half of another modules are better) And GTX 7xx cards are so old that newer drivers are more likely to break things than improve anything. Nvidia simply doesn't care of older cards, but wants to sell another new excessively priced card, so testing drivers with them is likely priority number 1000+X*Y*Z. Occasionally have read people even noticing old card suddenly getting smaller score in test programs with newer driver after new cards have been released. Myself using GTX680 with many years old drivers. -
Because game is lacking bot submarines which would patrol map borders attacking all high hp Balless Boats near them. Sinking by those should then give special Deserter-achievement with -95% to credits and XP along with paying half the repair bill of team mates. Homo Urbanus Consumericus is such stupid animals that carrot alone doesn't work and training needs also that stick.
-
Now it's correct. And funny thing but those not-free to play triple A games demand learning at least basics to get forward from first level or two. Or have you seen any racing game giving you Ferrari if you drive that Fiat Punto into walls enough many times? And that rise in amount of team saboteurs started couple weeks ago.

Even 7,62x39mm would sound better than some of these "drum guns"
