    DON'T show any skill

Yeah, once had ~3k hp enemy Minekaze drive parallel of my Gremy in straight line 6km away. Two hitting salvoes put him out his misery, after which he claimed I was cheating. Well, at least ~250hp Minekaze player (who barely got away from me earlier) I "Coup de Graced" from 12km away with blessed by RNGesus tight dispersion three gun salvo didn't do it.

Question about the confederate time reward

Why should I be interested on damage percentage? I'm only interested about making target sink as fast as possible, so that I can move to next ship to again do everything I can to make sure also that target "goes submarine". When I do that well enough Confederates and High Calibers are byproduct. If I leave target alive he might get later chance to shoot at my ship, limit my movement freedom/spot me when firing guns etc.

Question about the confederate time reward

Just why can't someone aim both for Confederates and making sure every enemy dies as fast as possible? Doing constantly as much damage as possible is best way for also getting High Caliber. And just changing from target to another doesn't help in that.
  4. If they even knew how to drive ship they're in that would be major achievement toward better matches. One phoenix just rushed ahead with side visible for enemies instead of staying in some kind formation for more combined firepower to take out enemies. Other Phoenix used island hugging to obstruct his field of view and maneuvering freedom, getting then killed by suicide range torps of enemy Gnevny! And instead of turning back to buy time for shooting enemy Gnevny (one Phoenix dead and other too far ahead) that New Jerk just sailed in straight line to eat next suicide range torp salvo. And what was own team Gnevny doing? Sitting in middle of map next to islands with thumbs deep in his butt. When he finally managed to find those mysterious WASD-keys he got barely hit or two to enemy Gnevny (how can someone have 20% hit rate with those railguns?) before getting himself shot to below waves. And that enemy Gnevny wasn't even good because I basically seal clubbed him without taking much any damage... Getting there just in time to save CVs from epic fail of that other flank. I wonder how many better players have decreased their playing (or ended it) because of being at mercy of MM for having even shipwise balanced teams and then having to endure another failure chance of getting potato team. I surely aren't very inspired to play much if chance of getting OK good team is just 25%.

Ship Experience - how does it work?

It matters actually lot. For DD losing 10k hp is serious problem and unless wanting to end up almost single shot when caught he has to play very very carefully lowering potential damage output. Again for BB losing 10k isn't that big problem. And DD which has already taken say 5k damage definitely goes down from 10k hp salvo, while BB with 5k previous damage doesn't.

    Pathetic speed of the Fubuki

Already Tomozuru capsizing in early 1934 caused IJN to think again how they had put so much weaponry onto light hulls risking stability. That got solved by adding ballast keeping ship lower in water even when having little fuel on board, of course lowering speed. Again in 1935 typhoon caused damage to most ships caught in it causing further changes/rebuild. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fubuki-class_destroyer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Japanese_torpedo_boat_Tomozuru#The_Tomozuru_Incident https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4th_Fleet_(Imperial_Japanese_Navy)#The_Fourth_Fleet_incident

    Gnevny

Actually my hit rate with Gremy (42%) is better than you have in Gnevny or Ognevoi despite of already firing third salvo when first is just landing while shooting BBs from max range. And neither I'm exactly shy at firing cruisers lot from long ranges if they're going in any kind straight line.

    Gnevny

5km is definite minimum distance to keep from good health USN DD, with 6km being better. And with them visible from gunfire you can try to move to 7km distance making yourself hard target when moving in oblique angle with slight turns: Fire salvo, turn away and then back for next salvo. If USN DD tries to push close that means he has only front guns available. That module helps very little at the expense of DPM needed for hurting enemy cruisers and BBs from range. Aiming Expertise captain skill helps lot more by cutting traverse time from 36 to 24 seconds. (in Grevny you shouldn't put any weight on torp reload speed) And Strait is toward easier maps for slow turning guns because of good open areas. If you again let ship take you to those cramped areas after high health DD that's not ship's fault.

Losing? the problem is no teamwork

Well, if you say getting kicked to butt is your fun. And indeed all the same errors increasing probability of team's defeat at tier 1 increase defeat probability also at tier 8.. and even more so. But you might want to read the memo that game's torps aren't homing and spraying and praying doesn't get you far. You need to actually get to good firing position to have good chance for hits to actually help team win. Comparing damage done to ship data I would estimate you did mighty four-five torpedo hits in three Wakatake matches. About ten in nine Isokaze matches, and 5-6 in eight Minekaze matches. Along with hit ratio just dropping, because most of the players have bothered to actually learn something and don't fall for blind torpedo spam. With win rate dropping when moving to Murmansk. Because instead of actually doing the damage cruisers are supposed to be doing to enemy you're again spraying and praying. When average damage falls to below DD's hitpoints you're not even countering them. So awesome 0,16 ships sinked per match is no wonder. While enemy cruisers probably put accurate hits and citadel hits into you, with occasional BB single shotting you. And good DD players probably torping you easily... Or possibly in Soviet DD sneaking to your side putting some citadel salvoes into your ship unless outgunning you from range. And indeed your Atago seems to be doing great AA job... With less planes shot down in more matches than in Murmansk for mighty half plane average per match. And with average damage failing to rise with hitpoint pool win rate takes another dip. Great work in helping teams to lose! I'm sure gentlemen Dunning and Kruger would want to meet you.

  11. Because it's one trick pony and if particular target isn't buying you're bystander. Gremyashchy has lot more bigger toolbox. Against DDs 8km torps work as nice sucker bait (2 torped DDs in 9 ranked) and 130mm railguns beat the crap out of USN 127mm catapults. Against cruisers it has torps, raining HE(ll) from long range, or in case of unaware and distracted cruiser showing side at 8km APs can citadel them. (Cleveland is exception) Besides being natural torping target BBs are also easy to hit target for HE bombardment all the way to max range of 14km. And CVs just don't like HE rain, if caught alone without support. Anyway that's faster than closing for torping unless CV is coming towards you.

Losing? the problem is no teamwork

You can't really start to learn all various team work tactics before you've learned how to handle your own ship. And you can't do that above lowest tiers because of getting instantly executed by those players who have played their way there by learning. (or did that already in closed beta) You can't even handle Murmansk which is one of the most effective ships of tier 5 with its accurate long range guns. You have two matches in quite easy to play Chikuma and basing to damage done you've managed mighty couple hits to enemy. You should learn to hit enemy cruisers consistently from max range in that before going upwards in tiers. In DDs skill/toughness of opposition clearly exceeds what you've learned about torpedo boating at T4 Isokaze, because of damage dropping from Wakatake. You're both figuratively and literally trying to climb to top of the tree when you can't even really climb into its lower branches... And trying to climb into that tree arse first, like it would would be said in Finland!

noobs read, im sick of loosing games couse you suck

Even I have sometimes "brainfart" and do stupid mistake. But question is about if there's any try to something reasonable instead of keeping doing basic mistakes... And in case of some there clearly isn't even any ability to learn with amoeba being "rocket scientist" in comparison. I know player who now has nearly 2800 battles with 6½k average damage! Cleveland, New Mexico... 10k average damage in both. Basically 5-6k average damage in cruisers and DDs with significant amount of battles. Just what good does such comatose potato do to this game's imago? In better teams he's just cause of swearing for everyone who is good or tries to think and act semi reasonably. And in worser team he just makes it fail even more miserably and it isn't even fun/satisfying to be on winning team when other team insta collapses like house of cards in EF5 tornado. And considering rate his match number grows there's high probability for bot being in "cruise control" most of the time. Only match I've dared to do today had just horrible team with half of the team apparently unable to do anything reasonable, or even hit the barn if inside of it. Like cruiser hugging island to have no room for avoiding suicide range torp attack of enemy Gnevny... Then BB 5km away not turning away from that enemy DD to have time to shoot DD, but just keeping going forward to eat next torp salvo. While all the time own team Gnevny who should have protected that flank from DDs sit back with thumbs up in his rear. And when he finally managed to find those mysterious WASD keys again he then couldn't get more than couple hits to enemy Gnevny before dying. How can someone have only 20% hit ratio with Gnevny's railguns? Even that enemy Gnevny wasn't good because I seal clubbed him easily without taking much damage in indentical for gunfight Gremy.
  14. Haven't you yet learned that if you want something done you should be ready to do it yourself? And select ship according to that so that you can put hurt on every ship of enemy team. Emphasis on word "sometimes"... Probability favours that most loudest team "admirals" have very little idea what some ships can do when properly handled. If they even had any idea what they should be doing with their ship...

Most handsome and most ugly ship in the game

Too much of that USN DD "collection of tin cans and barrels" style in superstructure. Gnevny/Gremy has just the right mix between sleek and utilitarian look. http://worldofwarships.eu/en/news/common/premium-spotlight-gremyashchy/

noobs read, im sick of loosing games couse you suck

Yeah, right... https://www.dropbox.com/s/mopr30opd7mcp32/Omaha%20Citadelled.jpg?dl=0 About 10s before that sceenshot moment that target misprioritizing Omaha had ~19k hitpoints. And this is what happens when you have three enemy cruisers showing their side at 8km range while you sit in smoke. Besides your Cleveland makes easy to hit from long range and well burning target for Soviet DD 130mm gun. And that Pepsicola lacks firerate for HE spam. Longer range plunging fire salvo of 203mm APs again works really well against weakish deck armor of cruisers.
  17. EsaTuunanen

    Rank(ed) Madness...

Why so? Have nine won battles, 19 kills, little below 2k average XP and average damage fair 66k.

    Gnevny

Gunfire detection penalty differences don't affect DD vs DD fight in any way. Unless target happens to be sitting stationary and is detected by someone else. Farragut isn't that different from Nicholas except for lot worser stealth. And weren't those post-closed beta ROF buffed USN DD guns with even worser trajectory? As for Königsberg... You might want to tell crew to cover those weakly armored turret roofs with something. I've detonated three of them, last one in ranked some seven eight hours ago. Too bad team's BBs/CAs had hammered him too much for being able to get Devastating Strike like from earlier ones. In fact second was "factory fresh" ship detonated with first salvo. Guess I should have apologized for such fast end of his match, but had second Königsberg in line waiting to get seal clubbed. I wonder if I did as much gun/fire damage as that own team Nagato. Anyway I should be available 14-16 UTC and in Sunday afternoon-evening because of that time having so much potatoes.
  19. EsaTuunanen

    Better MM in ranked

He actually played instead of sitting there? Good for you. But try to avoid playing during potato hours. During week daytime is good. Sunday afternoon-evening, just forget playing any mode unless grinding forehead with cheese grater sounds like pleasant way to spend time.
  20. I Grinded USN DDs up to Fletcher during CBT and skilled player in high tier IJN DDs could definitely give back nasty punch because of accurate trajectory, higher shell damage+fire chance and lot higher feeling module knock down power. And while USN DD ROF was buffed after CBT didn't those new faster firing guns/turrets come with nerfed trajectory making longer distance hitting to DDs more challenging? Those are for novices... Wonder what I could do with proper guidelines having sight in Gremy when I've already done blessed by RNGesus dispersion first salvo Coup de Grace to barely alive Minekaze 12km away and once outgunned IIRC Phoenix in finishing away running 1-2k Isokaze/Minekaze 10km away with two separate salvo (though mostly just front guns) hits.
  21. EsaTuunanen

    Gnevny

Gunwise Gnevny is identical to Gremy. So except for inability to launch 8km sucker bait torps (two torped DDs in nine ranked battles) to other DD's path they should work similarly against DDs. In fact Gnevny (or Gremy) played by skilled player is only T5 ship I have to be really wary of. Nicholas just can't hit me reliably from distance I can reliably hit back. In average Nicholas player gets something like five hits to me before running away into smoke with serious damage. During closed beta I played USN DDs up to Fletcher getting plenty of DD hunting experience. And 130mm's trajectory just does that job lot better after mastering tricks needed by ship. With RNG luck in shell dispersion I've done Coup de Grace to barely alive Minekaze from 12km away and once outgunned IIRC Phoenix in sinking ~1k hp Isokaze/Minekaze at 10km distance with two separate salvo (well, two front guns) hits.
  22. Like I said about use of slow turning guns needing space staying in that "DD alley" with enemies isn't good idea for Gremy. I once went too deep in there and lost miserably to two Minekazes, because of just not having any space to maneuver for good shooting back, while trying to avoid incoming fire and torps. Though updated map has now lot more space. As for ballsy move that's far from the best one. How about launching torps "not until you see the white of their eyes"? While having Wyoming who disabled your engine (with damage control used little earlier) 8 km behind your stern and Kongo you were intending to torp from closer range heading directly towards you from right 4 km away...

Shadow nerf of the Atlanta premium ship?

All couple dozen shells I shot at that Atlanta were misses, even that blessed by RNGesus shell just scraped.
  24. EsaTuunanen

Shadow nerf of the Atlanta premium ship?

Single 130mm HE falling just short of the ship detonating next to weak underwater armor below turret. Which is different from Königsberg whose "magic button" is turret roof.

Looks like Training Room enabler is back in Aslain's mod pack, so if you're interested in taking little duel in your Nicholas you might soon reconsider its position in the food chain. When average Nicholas player has the misfortune of meeting my Gremy it's not fight, it's between seal clubbing and execution... unless he's fast at turning away and using smoke. And how many cruisers you've outgunned with those USN 127mm rainbow guns? Careless cruisers are food for Soviet 130mm railgun. https://www.dropbox.com/s/mopr30opd7mcp32/Omaha%20Citadelled.jpg?dl=0 Ten seconds before of that screenshot moment that target misprioritizing Omaha had ~19k hp.
