    Buff Russian DD turrets

Also got similar feeling they keep messing things under the hood. In first day after 5.2 I lost more guns/turrets in Gremyashchy in ten matches than in easily hundred+ matches in previous two weeks. When USN DD opened fire with its spray and pray mortars (or really anything) it felt like turrets were made of toilet paper breaking from getting water splashed on them or some card houses. In next day their durability again felt like before.

    Bot Accusations

And bad desicision aren't the worst. Sometimes players plain suicide. Lone tourist cruisers rushing to places only stealthy DD should go... BBabies rushing to middle of islands with DD in there... And those bad decisions can be also epic fails... Like three of team's four BBs deciding to be BBabies lemming training away from enemy's main force in Solomons. Only reason why that didn't end to fast defeat was that I was in Gremy pushing on that same flank into enemy cap making enemy turn back from their push and even Kuma reaching cap leave it. If it had been up to those BBabies enemy would have finished capping before they would have reached enemy base. Or just two thirds to there because I did main job in killing enemy BB on that flank and put hurt on other enemies.

    Torps apppearing too late

Mutsuki can fire only six torps. So spread is either dense but narrow, in which case small preventive maneuvering makes it miss easily... Or wide but so sparse that it's easy to dodge from between individual torps. But Shimakaze throws out wall of 15 torps. So it can basically put out that wide spread but with narrow spread's density. And if it does some interleaving (three launchers allows plenty of flexibility for that) even DD happening to be on path of that spread needs lots of work and luck for surviving. (to at the least be in oblique angle to salvo instead of broadside when finally seeing it) Except for CV's planes torpedo buff made it harder to just survive against torpedoes to ships supposed to counter torpedo launching DD. Which might not be big thing for previous DDs but Shimakaze's sheer number of torps made it never weak.

    Away from Keyboard

Most of the time AFKing happens straight from the start of match and if that non-CV player who hadn't moved moved at all would be replaced two minutes into match that should work well.

Check Nautical Tales WoWs videos in Youtube and one of them has hilarious cross shaped "twin" DD. Also there's that "Flying Cleveland"...

    nerf us cv's plz!

In matches with CVs of those tiers USN CV might just as well keep fighters above CV because IJN CV's superior setup simply swarms those out of sky if challenging them. (unless fighter setup and no strike capability) Also funny how stats don't show USN CVs being superior. http://maplesyrup.sweet.coocan.jp/wows/ranking/20151226/eu_2month/average_ship.html And if one flank fails fast both USN CVs have very little chances to stay ahead of enemy with their rowing boat speed which makes USN BBs look fast.

For citadelling cruisers Gnevny is identical because detectability from gun firing doesn't affect that situation.

advice sought for skills for dd captains

AA escort use benefits from having long AA range and later USN DD's with their dual purpose 127mm guns + AA barrage have advantage in that. With cruiser class penalty to stealth from firing guns in Soviet DDs USN DDs have lot more stealth gunning range. But trajectory just is miserable for long range hitting of anything harder than straight line sailing BB. Soviet 130mm has 10 second shell flight time to 14,2km so BBs are valid targets from that range and it's possible to hit straight line sailing cruisers from 12km. That's really how bad stealth Kiev should be driven: Bombard enemies from 10+km range while using its very high speed and maneuvering to avoid incoming fire. T5 Gnevny is actually stealthy enough to hunt DDs and sneak inside range to surprise citadel most cruisers it meets. Perfect angle Kuma takes citadel hits from 10km, Omaha from 9km and at 8km you can citadel quite a few more cruisers. From closer ranges you don't even need precise side angle and from 5km/below you can just just punch through belt armor unless it's angled considerably. Max 10k damage salvoes kill low hp cruisers fast. Also Furutaka with its slow fire rate guns is also rather easy target if you can avoid one salvo or can get to its other side. If you can surprise some light cruiser from good citadelling range you can actually kill it before it has much chance to shoot back. Enemy Kuma suffered that fate in this when it came with side available from between islands 4km away: First hits to center citadel disabled its engines and it wasted time in firing torps (I was already moving away in oblique angle) so I received only hit or two back before killing it. That nine citadel hits equals to 22500hp damage... which can be done in ten seconds from first hits. Situational Awareness is must for every DD like basically also Concealment which is usefull for at least sneaking around. Again Last Stand is questionable because of being in same level with Advanced Firing Training which gives 20% gun range extra which can benefit gun relying DD much. Sure it can help but when you would actually benefit from it usually situation is still very bad unless you have smoke available for fast cover/disappearing. 22k credits costing premium repair/damage control with 40s cooldown is also usefull for DD.

It's not enemy's fault that you do the mistake of not taking that spotting risk into account in strategy choise and just bore straight in. The more dangerous for you the target is the more carefull and better planned your approach and strategy choise should be. Or do you expect BB to keep coming in straight line instead of doing evasion maneuvers if you just showed yourself to him while doing launch? 130mm gunned Soviet DD is better for cruiser hunting like Tier 5 Gnevny. Cleveland burns quite nicely when HE'd from 11+ km away and most other lightly armored (light/heavy cruiser doesn't mean armor) cruisers it meets can be citadelled at latest from 8km distance. In fact from perfect broadside view Kuma takes citadel hits from 10km away and Omaha from 9km. At closer ranges you don't even need to have precise angle but can just blast through belt armor unless it's considerably angled. And single citadel hit does 2500hp damage instead of measly hundred or two of HE hitting that spot so low hp cruisers die quite fast. Lone distracted Furrytaco with guns to wrong direction is rather easy brawling target. And if you can surprise side showing Kuma at sure hitting range first salvo usually kills its engines putting damper on its maneuvering. The "quirk" is that if you hit cruiser's lightly armored parts like bow/stern/superstructure you'll often overpen. (getting only 250hp damage per shell)

When is a Kill not a Kill ?

Answer to this: Can you get Confederates and High Calibers with any kind consistency or are those once in a week/month accidents? If you do consistently lots (in relation to match tier and hp pool) of damage to enemy team kill"stealing" isn't problem: Because in average you'll get yourself kills that way when concentrating to priority targets or then get already weakened enemy who dueled with your team mate. Only problem would be if someone purposely holds firing until last moment and didn't contribute anything to reducing enemy team's firepower as fast as possible. But those really don't get much XP.

advice sought for skills for dd captains

Even inside one ship line there are notable differences so there's really no universal rule and lto depends how you play. Many of later USN DDs would make decent AA ships with all hull upgrades giving defensive fire AA barrage, but that last hull upgrade often removes one main gun lowering ability to fight DDs. And while besides AA range Advanced Firing Training boosts also main gun range by 20% with USN 127mm's shell trajectory that extra range might go unused. And in Soviet DDs there are even more variations. T5 Gnevny brings excellent flat trajectory guns with AP allowing killing surprised lightly armored cruisers with citadel hits. Those guns just turn cruiser slow (even slower than Minekaze's buffed guns) with 36 second for 180 degrees. Taking that second row captain skill for extra 2,5 degrees per second (instead of torp reload skill) lowers that to 24 seconds. Again with Tier VII Kiev (and later) standard turret traverse speed is such fast that extra speed just doesn't make much difference. And with its bad stealth Kiev again plays very differently from most DDs.

    Torpedo RNG

Who care's about scraping detonator end contact when torp detonates also if your DD's stern overswings/"tackles" into screw end/rear of torpedo? (because lucky shell hit jammed rudder just when you were releasing it to let torps pass you from sides)
  14. Player accound database really shouldn't be different from this forum.... Which is really one big database with its data shown in wanted form and accessible for edits and new entries in wanted ways. It's really like if bank or someone accidentally put say 10000€ into someone's account...

    Getting good karma

Lots of players probably don't pay much attention to complimenting. I try to do when I see someone do very good job, or from doing well in (weak) ship outtiered by enemies. But then you have only five compliments per day to use. So there's real threshold in do you give it or save it in case in next match there's someone doing really well. Having number of compliments limited per number of matches played would be better. (like certain number per every ten matches) And there seems to be only limited time after ending of the match to give compliments. At least when I've gone to do something after the match (leaving score screen open and alt-tabbing into windows) and come back some time later it's been impossible to give compliment. It seems to be same for going to scores of previous matches from port. So if someone who got sinked before end of the match took another ship to other match he might simply be unable to give compliments when maybe checking match results later. Looks like I'm currently at 15. But then again this is what I consider as (step below perfect) excellent own performance That Bogue of course got my compliment for supressing enemy CVs. Devastated two BBs with close range rush and got Izya with sucker bait torp while he tunnelvisioned into me after I had shown myself by firing at BB from long range. With first of those BBs that Kuma was coming from next gap between islands so switched to APs and totally fairly executed it with citadel hits. (fair= I took only hit or two because he wasted time in launching torps) With own team BBabies not doing that well in killing enemy or even protecting thmselves also had to come to take out third BB with some half damage. Of course gave hits also to every enemy cruiser killing St. Louis. (first kill was Minekaze)

    I. WANT. TO. PLAY. THE. GAME!

That's because with Minekaze's fast torpedo reload, fast speed and excellent stealth you're actually one of the bigger threats. And you should be happier about more higher tier enemies. Nicholas would have decent change pushing close enough to detect you. Farragut lot less with it's bad stealth. And Mahan with its snail speed and 1,7km worser detectability could find only bad Minekaze player. One of Cleveland's primary purposes is to punish DD players foolish enough to get close to them and let themselves be spotted for longer than couple seconds. And if you insist on getting close to multiple cruisers...

    One of those days!

It can work also other way. Every target you fire torps at does a turn at the latest ten seconds later. (maybe should aim everywhere else than ships?) BB taking 50 HE hits to deck/superstructure and not a single fire. (those splosions must be paintball effect) My record is fair 80 HE hits for a single fire... with damage of mighty 1k. Must have been paintball shells what gunners had... It isn't like there's lack of those without slightest glue about game mechanics also elsewhere. How about New Mexico shooting HEs from close range to Fuso's belt armor for about zero damage... While getting citadelled because Fuso skipper was little less stupid and at least used AP... While still forgetting angling and from that range would have been perfect target for NM's AP salvo. In Friday again saw Yubari showing his side in perfect straight angle from 3 km to Phoenix... Who then failed to blow it to kingdom come with citadel salvo or two. Right now it's as much competition of incompetence as competition of skill. Tourist cruisers suiciding by going alone to places only stealthy DDs should go are common. BBabies driving their side all the time perfectly visible for enemy... And often driving away from enemy's main force on that longest possible route around map's edge.

    Torps apppearing too late

And how do you expect cruiser to kill that Shimakaze wanting him dead? Shimakaze has all the aces: Good speed advantage (not just knot or two) Excellent stealth Ability to set such torpedo wall that unless cruiser does course change early after launch he'll take hits. Only that idiot player in DD would make himself easy prey no matter how good cruiser skipper is. Without CV's planes or one of team's DDs happening to be in right place enemy DD can dance around him.

    Destroyer balance

Maybe they're wanting to keep themselves employed by making fixes causing new problems needing fixing? And how is three knots slower Gearing supposed to reliably find multiple Shimakazes who aren't stupid? (without CV's help) And if BB screening Gearing happens to be on path of well controlled torpedo wall he's going to have hard work in surviving. Torpedo stealth buff naturally made avoiding them harder also for DDs. And if two Shimakazes wolfpack launching simultaneously...

Please help i have a big problem

Just make sure it's decent PC which can be upgraded easily for going couple more years instead of some bottom of the barrel dregs. If CPU is actually good by today's standards (strong core/thread performance) it will be be quite good for 4-5 years. Even best GPU will be greatly surpassed in couple years.

Poor FPS on the map Shatter

I suspect there are some issues which could cause server to send clients some corrupted/bad data making clients somehow "choke". Some months ago after one patch myself mysteriously got occasions of FPS dropping around that exactly same number. IIRC going into Esc-key menu and then returning to match solved FPS but with sync problem between client and server. (force closing client with Task Manager and restarting and returning to match worked) That problem just stopped happening and without any client patches.

Game optimization, lag, choppy framerate, etc. ranting

Is your hardware actually above minimum? Because sounds awfully like you expect some many years old barely mediocre as new supermarket "gaming" PC to be actual gaming PC. And probably there's lots of bloated crap/shovelware running on background but those FPS drops seem to be definitely related to game ordering more bacon than your PC can make.

How i got my 1st report....

Must be some awful aiming considering 127mm's far from greatest citadelling performance.

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

Updated one match major achievement compilation with Kraken Unleashed between First Blood and Solo Warrior. (first and last achievements possible to get) One Königsberg actually run aground after noticing I outgunned him. Though to be fair before that he saw me outduel other (half hp) Königsberg from 9km and then finish low hp Minekaze who foolishly thought it wise to try outgunning gunship. That match really had competition going for bad play. Couple my team ships plain suicided by doing stupid things. And my team Phoenix and enemy Yubari also competed well. The later by showing his side in perfect angle from 3km range and Phoenix then for some unexplainable reason not blowing Yubari to kingdom come with citadel salvo. (so I had to citadel Yubari)
