Damage done "per tier/ship" would be one good indicator. Winning depends also on many factors outside control of individual player. (+Divisioning can boost that without any increase in player's skill) XP includes now apparently also bonuses etc making it bad for comparison.

Ctrl+Shift+Esc goes straight to Task Manager bringing it on top of everything. That's sign of little RAM in PC and not enough space for Windows to keep recently opened files (=game) cached in memory. With game files already cached in RAM it's possible to get back into match inside minute. Though I don't think I've had game crash anymore in month or two.

If game crashes then you just restart the game. Restarting whole PC every time some program/process/driver did something naughty was feature of non-NT based Windows.

Yeah, it's rather ridiculous how game mode supposed to separate players basing to their skill keeps punishing highly skilled players because of potatoes while those potatoes can do the worst possible job and keep getting rewarded for the work of better players . -
In 0.5.2 patch. I think they corrected errors in ship's internal armor model. For example Soviet DD 130mm HE doesn't anymore disable its engine.

Microsoft has history of OS updates breaking things and once in a while even totally jamming whole OS. So unless wanting to be alpha tester you should always wait at least few days checking web until trusting Windows updates to do more good than bad. There should pre-update restore point so if problem surfaced after update system restore should be first thing to try for bracketing cause of the problem. -

If whole PC/OS crashes that's sign of lot bigger problem than what could be in game... Doesn't even Ctrl+Shift+Esc work? Then again wouldn't wonder if MS removed even that since starting to make Windows for toyphones instead of PC. If graphics card is old like GTX680 and there are no graphical issues in games you definitely don't want to keep updating drivers. Nvidia doesn't give s**t about older card owners and probably doesn't even really test newest drivers on them and they can as easily just cause lot more problems than help in anything. Basically it goes like this: If it works keep fixing until it breaks. (besides having done some actually card burning capable driver updates) -
Free XP could be used for researching anything, but grinding that is even slower. (always save free XP for possibly almost mandatory upgrades of next ship) Then there's the option of buying doubloon/gold and using that to convert standard XP to free XP. After Cleveland USN CA line becomes weaker compared to others with only T10 Des Moines having something special with 6 second reload speed. But then again also that is on average least damage doing T10 cruiser while IJN Zao basically challenges Montana in average damage.

And extra range of Advanced Firing training is usefull with 14km being fully valid distance for hammering straight sailing BB. Unlike with USN mortar. (actually there's mortar system for also ships) Small truck...

Faster turret traverse could be used giving Gnevny unique abilitity. 25s or maybe that captain skill buffed 24s. That would have to be balanced to leave good advantage in closer range encounters for Nicholas... Which got its torps nerfed by 10 knots. It being one of the few USN DDs doing on par with other ships of the tier must have been too good. Just like what Sims was given as "buffed" torps... About on level with Wakatake's torps in capabilities. As torpedo platform Gremy is full of contradictions. On one hand those torps have 14400 max damage and range is nice 8km. But 55 knot speed gives enemy good time to turn away when using that range. And only six of them in two launchers with slowest reload of Tier V means if you try to depend on them you better pray for "unwise" enemies. Firing launcher at a time both Minekaze and Nicholas would have half shorter reload. Against incoming enemy ship formation Nicholas can do lot bigger amount of harm with 12 torps in four launchers. Same for ambushing and brawling. Two launcher configuration also gives less control over spread than in Minekaze so its harder to give high health straight sailing enemy BB that devastating strike from longer ranges. And if enemies do preventive maneuvering they're about useless because of lacking amount/reload speed for spamming them enough for random hits. Trust me, Clevelands won't be fine witth Gremlin showing up in shop. -
Something wrong in that video. If those were HEs why there wasn't explosion effect in that last hit to Gnevny? And damage was that of AP overpen. Besides HE definitely doesn't bounce like that. Replay mechanics seems to be little unrealiable in some visual effects especially if big fast forward speed has been used so if that recording was done from replay that could explain HE indicator. Also it's definitely unsure what sounds are prioritized... And if there's limit for number of concurrent sounds.

Don't notice really anything special in first one, just gun firing sound. Bounce/ricochet has distinct sound. (HE doesn't bounce) Second is succesfull AP penetration. And AP overpen has that different "lighter" sound.

While nuclear powered subs can stay submerged for as long as there's food for crew WW2 era subs weren't really made to travel underwater and those usually submerged only when trying to stay hidden or when approaching enemy. Actually in WW2 one British ship rammed heavier German ship when knowing it was doomed to loose fight. Don't remember name but it happened somewhere near coast of Norway.

Tier higher BB than DD can survive that full salvo of torps to side from perfect text book attack using island for getting close undetected before final attack charge for sure hitting distance. And if you hit all torps into bow (or stern) that section can run out of hitpoints with target loosing only couple torp worth of hitpoints.

It just doesn't get installed as spinal reflex unless they've been actually demanded discipline and manners and not just patted on the shoulder.

Gremlin follows USN DD's gun firing penalty. With full skills APs could "stealth citadel" Kuma/Yubari if it kept side in perfect straight angle long enough for getting correct aim. (+ enough shots for correct dispersion pattern/RNG) Then again those guns turn literally cruiser slowly with Minekaze having faster turning guns after buff of them. (so you need to plan ahead like in BB) Ask this enemy team given by fair MM 5 vs 3 Tier VIs and 6 vs 4 Tier Vs: Got Confederate seven minutes into match and High Caliber in one more minute. Missed meeting Fuso, other Nicholas and one cruiser. Though had to really work for it: That number of shells fired equals over 12 minutes of non-stop gunning. And enemy would have won without coming after me one by one... -
Best team play is that multiple ships concentrate fire to closest/most dangerous etc enemy to fast decrease number of guns shooting back. If player does consistently lots of damage to enemy team he'll get kills consistently. In average getting same number of easy kills as loosing to team mates. For example while BB's slow reload makes it hard for them to finish enemy they crippled with first salvo that massive damage can also instant kill enemy already weakened some by others. Same for mixed gunship/torp boat DD. I often use guns to fire at weakened enemies to make sure they die faster getting kills that way. But I also myself start dishing damage to fresh enemies when I can and quite often then loosing that target from gunsight or simply notice more pressing target. (or get ready for closing to torpedo range) Also instead of one shot kill torpedo salvo often leaves enemy weakened or badly crippled giving team mates easier target.

That was guaranteed exclusivity period, not guaranteed return to shop time. With very high "destruction&mayhem" ceiling of Gremlin I wouldn't wonder if WG doesn't want it to become widespread. Though full mastering is very demanding. I rarely see other Gremy of the match doing excellent. You have yet no idea about its capabilities... I disagree about Yubari being DD flimsy. It actually has some armor: 130mm AP doesn't overpen it... Unless you aim/hit standard thickness/"tinfoil" armored parts. -
Spotting won't automatically kill enemy or help team win. CV doing that is entirely at the mercy of rest of the team having more brain than enemies to turn that to advantage. Without that Bogue becomes just one big target barge... with bad 12km detectability. (vs. away running capable Zuiho's 9km) Again if CV cripples one enemy BB that's automatic boost for team because that's one faster to kill enemy improving survival and hence damage dishing chances of rest of the team.

Do you have any mods? Maybe some mod made some setting change which causes game somehow reset that setting. You could try deleting preferences file, letting game create it again and then manually add those lines again. I think Aslain's modpack also has option for enabling replays if you want to try that.

level problem, tier 2 and 7 in the same game

Actually rules mention behavior disrupting to gameplay. And such fail division is as disrupting as some AFK/bot. That match tier DDs are literally stronger damage dealers than it. While always playing normally aiming to humiliate enemy I would definitely prefer it to be fair match of skill and tactics without such advantage. (except when also own team has that fail division/AFK/bot) -
XP and credits are given basing to damage with actual kill giving something like 10-15% of target's "XP value". And I kinda remember someone saying that XP you get from the kill decreases with number of kills you've made in match to enforce need to do damage for getting high XP.
