@Snowman79 I was complaining about low tier CV power. I honestly think the biggest problem is flooding, it happens too often on low tier. With flooding you can sink the same tier BB in Hosho with just 2 TBs. Just because something is designed for the job, doesn't mean it's not too good at it. Anyway the biggest problem is that cleveland can meet ships which are in no way able to deal with it's escort, mainly tier V. With current strong position of Cleveland you can expect to meet a lot of them when majority of the playerbase will be around tiers VI-VIII. Both needed a nerf and in both cases people were requesting it.

Torpedoboats and hangarships.

We need Sanshikidan anti-air shells asap. Screw rockets, when we can have fireworks!! Weeeeeee... -
What ships do you not want to see in future patches?
Ishiro32 replied to Killed_chicken96_the_2nd's topic in General Discussion
Chitose or Chiyoda - Seaplane/Submarine Tender, ship that could send aircraft and had hull which could launch midget subs. -
Nah, limited number of planes is intresting.

I don’t have to prove anything to anyone. If you do not agree with my opinions I advise you to focus on them and prove me wrong. If I am wrong then I do want to be corrected. Dragging out my stats is just poor manners and has nothing to do with what I said. I do not like talking about stats because I have seen a lot of people dismissing other concerns based on just win ratio. Every piece of feedback is valid, it all depends who hears it. Obviously you don’t want to listen or talk, that is sad, because I had some lovely discussions with experienced BB and crusier players back in CBT. Oh well… Happens.

So instead of commenting on my argument and my opinion how I would love the game to be, you decided to insult me based on extremely low sample of games with other classes I have played in OBT. No comments. @Auzor_S Furataka does need help that is true. I don't think you will find anyone on this forum who thinks she is ok.

I see big picture, that’s why I am calling for low tier nerfs. I do want to get rid off frustration for both CV players and CV targets. Cleveland AA just is too big considering maps, speed of planes and reserves. I know that you want for all CV players to suffer, but Cleve is slightly too much. Ship with this type of AA which isn’t for self defense shouldn’t be fighting against carrier who do not have reserves. The cushion area clevelands are creating is too big for the tier they are fighting. High tier which have fast planes, can react fast, have huge maps to go around, have reserves to take one or two planes killed by accident are fine. Have good AA there. I am fine with US BBs most of the time. They are making game more interesting, I need to remember AAA values and I need to distinguish which targets are easy and I can pretty much fly over them and which targets I need to count each second. It is fun and I like it. I also like trying to find holes in crusier walls, once again, it is fun. The thing is. Cleveland is the best escort crusier and is on a tier which can’t really handle them all that well. I must stress that I am mainly thinking about tier V carriers, as in healthy MM they will suffer most. Tier VI can deal with them one way or another, but 5th simply can’t. Also do not use my stats to discredit my arguments. I am dedicated CV player and played other classes in CBT, didn't have time to play them here.

Top arty player from WoT explains you the current state of (ridiculously OP) CV´s in WoT terms
Ishiro32 replied to NextToYou's topic in General Discussion
WoWs is not WoT CV is not Arty Your high and might attitude do not go well with your complete lack of experience (0 CV games). Fact that you brought up you meaningless arty start is telling. You are not a person with whom I am willing to have discussion about CV balance. I do hope this is troll post. Thank you.- 203 replies

This is what is actually annoying me the most. People can't really think about one issue without dragging another into the mix. Cleveland escort power is a bit too much compared to the plane power on tiers V and VI. With that level of AA cleveland can be easily balanced crusier for tier VII and in fact can still kill planes from tier VIII. With small maps and right upgrades, speed of planes and lack of reserves the AAA umbrela of Cleveland is just too big. While lone Cleveland is not immune to air attacks if CV is patient, the ease those crusier can create walls is staggering and those crusiers are very popular because honestly they do not trade their AAA for any other true weaknesses like for example Yubari. Low tiers CVs need nerfs, fighting against them sure feels horrible for new players and I would love to see for example flooding chance reduced significantly, but low tiers are important, for all. Cleveland is creating too much frustration for CVs while being on tier VI. It's out of place. Cleveland regarding power is tier VII crusier which can meet tier V CVs in healthy MM. It's not ok. We should be thinking about changes that would make fun experience for all players and most often I see request for CV nerfs and hostile behavior which is comming from sheer frustration. Don't ignore possible frustrations for CVs just because they are strong at low tier, those are still problems that need to be adressed. If they are to strong then think about solution which would feel great also for other side. You CAN nerf power of the class and have players of that class thanking you for it.

Getting rid off plane stacking = need to rebalance almost all AAA, especially high tier. It would also increase skill celling a bit, so it is a good thing. I actually mentioned it in my topic about fighters [signature]. There is also other intresting idea. WG decided that fuel is too complex for people, but would radio range also be? You are free to move control units inside radio range and have full vision for those units, but you can send your planes outside of your radio range, there their vision would be halved they would perform last order and go back to carrier. So you could attack any ship outside of radio range, but it would be most likely auto attack wihtou adjustment (or with, but manuals outside would be impossible). You could also balance with this radio range. I do think it is simpler than fuel and would add some spice into the gameplay, while also encouraging for CVs to move with a fleet.

Turn off small object animation. The game logic is that they are single plane. Formation is just smoke and mirrors. I was not able to turn off BBs in the options back then.
-
Manual AA would require complete rework of planes. Would require to simulate AA guns. Would require for all players to have small object animations on, which would result in drastic increase in minimal requirements. Don't expect it. As for the ideas presented. Game moved forward, there were reasons for those changes. I think it would be only detrimental to the game to revert them. also BBs turning like destroyers looked retarded. I am out.
-
Meh... Deal with it. Patch to patch process is long and it's not an issue that would require hot fix. Play with cards you have, that's my advice. Not great, but true.
-
There will be ships in the future which attacking will feel like sucide. One of the skills of the CV captain is knowing all the ships and their AAA power. Sometimes you can fly over them, sometimes each second counts. You will have fighters against you which you can not engage. Learn how to deal with those. Evasion and army control is a skill, picking right time and angle for attack based on enemy formation.
-
Also I would advice you to calm down with sweeping opinions about balance. You are starting, there are a lot of things to learn first before you really get what is what and can tell what is not working. Cleveland is too strong, but doesn't ruin the balance. It can be dealt with. Just practice and learn.

The thing is even on the same tier, clevelands can create walls very easily. Easier than on higher tiers. Tier VI still doesn't have reserves to deal with it efficiently. Even backing off from their AA barrage is costing planes and AAA range is not small. Probably you would have to buff AA of some other ships to compensate, but for tier VI Cleveland AA it is too strong. It would be good as tier VII in regards to it's AA. Hiryuu has reserves to put up with them, but still when she would try attacking a wall she would only waste planes and not kill anyone. Chance for flooding might be a place to start nerfing low tier CVs. They need that umf to feel good and honestly almost half of the damage I got on those tiers were from damage over time debuffs. They are too strong as with 2 TBs you can sink tier IV BB. Too much. I don't want to again delve into RNG, but it would feel bad for the player torping and it would really feel all that great for the player being torped. It's not needed. No benefits.

God, I can't belive what I am seeing here. Ok, once again. 1.) Low tiers CVs are too strong at the moment damage-wise. They need tweeks there and only there for the moment, but WG can not forget about new CV skipper experience as we still have low population. Low tiers are very fragile and needs to be nerfed with great care. 2.) Cleveland AA is too strong for the tiers it is operating. People on forum created great excel spreadsheets regarding it and Cleveland escort power is just crazy. Considering it can fight with tier V CVs which do not have reserves what so ever is a problem. Especially since Cleveland is just good ship, even without it's AA and is very very popular. 3.) Adding RNG to torpedo bombers is just plain bad idea that would only piss off carier players. Is there any joy in knowing that you survived only because of a dud? Not in competetive online game I hope. in4 guns are not torpedos 4.) Carriers have some complexity issues. Their difficulty curve is a bit upside down which is creating problems, but those mostly affect carrier players themselves and are gameplay issues, not balance ones. 5.) In healthy MM during CBT, we did not have any issues with carrier other than IJN tier IX and X which were nerfed. On the other hand low tier had big buffs which created this whole frustration and current "carrier problem".

Airdropped Torpedoes Are Impossible To Avoid
Ishiro32 replied to Tobiaz1991's topic in Aircraft Carriers
So you think ability to check who is behind and island is more usefull than capping, smoke and consitent scout? Also really 2km range on detecting torps in a water, unless they go right above them then there is no issue and bombers move in 95% just to attack and back. Only fighters were problem for DD. What utility has to do with skill requirement? Shouldn't a lot of utility mean class is harder as there are multiple things you have to consider? DDs should be buffed, but they should never have huge average damage per game. -

What Utility? Tell me how torpedo bomber has more utility than a DD or Crusier. Explain this, because I am baffled. And actually I have died multiple times because of sneaky DD or CA HE spam. Also you said that CV shouldn't have top damage because they survive most, by that logic DDs should have pretty beastly average damage per game. -

Ishiro32 replied to Tobiaz1991's topic in Aircraft Carriers
Detection of torps from air is 2km, so unless DD is firing in the exact moment when planes are above it then he kinda deserves to be spotted. Bomber CV having most utility? Come on, this is just nonsense. They should have highest damage because they survive most often, why you think they shouldn't. Your logic is kinda backwards. I was running for a long time, so that means I shouldn't be tired. CVs do not tank, if found and exposed they are and killed by any class. At high tier spotted CV is prime target for BBs with 20km+ range. Bomber CV almost only deal damage and otherwise is not providing much. Fighter CV big issue is exactly very lackluster utility they provide. -

Ishiro32 replied to Tobiaz1991's topic in Aircraft Carriers
What utility? Fighters provide some utility, but it's not something so amazing, also fighters are not something you are complaining about. Bomber wings 95 % of the time are on the move from target to target, they are attack planes, they attack. If you are complaining just about exp then this is not balance issue just economy one. If you are complaining about damage please state what do you think what damage should top bomber CVs get from tier to tier. Remember that bomber CVs should deal more damage than BBs. I have played other classes in CBT. Never had problem with TBs. Also we have CV players who play other classes and they do not complain. Low tier is should be nerfed a bit, but nothing big. This tier is too critical for huge changes. -
Airdropped Torpedoes Are Impossible To Avoid
Ishiro32 replied to Tobiaz1991's topic in Aircraft Carriers
Bombers don't scout most of the time. Only first few minutes and after that with huge detection ranges and fire ranges we have there is really no point in scouting anything other than DD. You said yourself. You park fighters above DDs, not bomber wings. I never actually got anwser from people like you. What do you belive should be the average damage per game of a top CV player for tier VIII full bomber deck in a match without CV and with a match against fighter CV. Considering that top BB players have around 100k on that tier. -

Ishiro32 replied to Tobiaz1991's topic in Aircraft Carriers
what etc? And scouting is only good in the first 2 minutes of the game. Bombers very rarerly scout DDs. The only big thing CV is giving it's team is damage. It doesn't have pushing nor tanking power. It isn't really used to screen others with it's AA, it's only for selfdefence, nor it can really cap points. CVs are all about damage. Rewards for other classes for other thing than damage is another topic and is irrelevant here. CV are vultures. We punish those who make mistakes. That's pretty much only thing we do. -

Well I started recording my games again because I wanted to show some mindgames and diversion when playing IJN vs US. Sadly I was not able to get good game to showcase it. So instead have lucky RJ. The ammount of luck I had in this game is amazing. Even with all my missplays.
