Well, as I understand it, that's the question, isn't it? The camo is still there, but there is no way to tell whether the bonus it should give is still in effect.
-
Well, if people get refunded, that would be negotiable. But just taking the money and running off?
-
From the picture it would seem that they still have them. Question being, are they just decoration or do they have their ingame effects?

In the past, Wargaming did release new regular tech trees two at a time. If they continue to do so, that means two content patches this year with about 40-ish regular ships to play.

Well WG you know absolutely well that blocking or banning posts does no good AND NOW LISTEN!

Hypocrisy at work. -
Exactly, keep content constantly coming over a long time. The last content in terms of researchable ships came shortly after what passed as a release for this game, on 19th October. That means we already passed the 3 month line and I wouldn't be surprised if we would see the 4th month pass without new regular content. This is absolutely not rushing in stuff, it very much feels stagnant to me. Mind you that not everybody wants to grind all the way up to tier 10 so that is not really an argument when talking about new tech tree or (percieved) lack of content. (Edit: You might want to change the red coding into something else since red is reserved for moderators.)

RNG is too inconsistent and a complete lottery.

So you are still alive and trolling. -
I am sorry to admit but after watching that video, I felt very much ... underwhelmed. Weather effects will be almost visual only. Now I do understand that it would create a whole new layer of complication for the devs if there were effects on the gameplay by these. However, I do also firmly believe that there are a lot of chances for making these weather effects meaningful and interesting for the players when they do affect gameplay. Armor viewer will be very helpful I believe. I do hope that it'll also depict where the vital parts of each ship is located so people get a better grasp of why they are getting X result when they hit a certain ship at a certain point. Four new ship branches in 2016. Which might translate as 1 branch every 3 months. To me this seems to be rather little content in terms of new regular ships. Also, we already know that there'll be Russian and British cruisers and German battleships which only leaves the fourth branch as a question mark. But still, that does seem to me as rather few new ships to play through. The last new regular ships were added 4-5 months ago and I for one would prefer if new regular content was added more regularily. At the same time, I do expect another 10-15 premium ships this year. New Tech Tree in 2016 with candidates from the UK to Australia. Which pretty much hints a Commonwealth tech tree. Which might very well be the fourth of the afore mentioned four new branches and since we already got two cruiser and a BB tree there, we might see this turning out as a DD tree at first. New Features, new consumables, new captain perks. Great. New opportunities for teamplay. Not sure if this is referring to team battles or more battle rewards for support duties such as spotting or AA cover. Picture of the IJN super carrier. Clickbait?! That thing will hopefully not make it into the game, at least not player controllable. Rework of CVs... "The year promises to be interesting for aircraft carriers." If what we see on the PT right now is an indication of what is about to come, the year might as well see the extinction of aircraft carriers in mid- and high tiers. Dunno.. may be it's entirely my fault. I still feel that there should be much more coming in 2016 and some big things are certainly on their way, but other than those few... it feels to me as if there regular content was stalled *cough* German BBs *cough*.... I would want to be excited about the game and about what is going to be released ... but after watching that video, I'm anything but excited....

However decides what to implement has a tendency to overdo it. Planes got less HP now, AA has less range but substantially higher damage and on top of that Carrier setups have been worsened. Frankly, there is even less point playing CVs with that update, especially US carriers are next to useless as IJN CVs will usually have no problems occupying USN carriers while still getting their planes to drop off their payloads. Essex and Midway were the only US carriers which had the chance to deal significant damage with their 1/2/2 setups, this is a thing of the past now. I don't know what Wargaming is trying to achieve here, but if you try to increase the CV population, this is not going to help. At all. And of course that is still something that affects all the other classes as well.

You guys have no idea how lucky you are... Don't look too closely at the German Tech tree..
-
Sorry if this has been answered already, but... I hit the like and share on FB buttons and apparently people should get extra pearls for that, but my current pearls are 236 with all missions finished...

For me, above all others: Hearts of Iron IV I do suspect that I'll be sinking lots of hours on that. Then of course, Total War: Warhammer Finally two brands who should've worked together ages ago do work together. Hopes are high but I may need a new computer for that one. Other than that, XCOM 2 Have seen a few youtube clips. It mostly looks like the XCOM and I wonder if it really will be that much of an improved experience over it's predecessor.

Yamato has lots of secondaries with quite long range.

[NA] can earn a Tachibana for free (in 6 consecutive missions)... EU...?
Takru replied to MrFingers's topic in General Discussion
There's been a lot of interesting points in this thread so far! Regarding cultural differences, I would expect that Wargaming fully understands those. Keep in mind that this is a company with employees all over the world which meet every now and then, too. That might in fact be the very reason why there is different communities in the first place, because cultures are very different. However, as others have pointed out, we still got ARP running as well as the Kamikaze R project and ranked season 3. If I was WG EU, I'd hold back on more events until at least two of them are done. There would be little point in flooding the game with events as if they were running out fashion now, only to run out of events later. -
Again, we know nothing much of other changes to the perks. Getting the <203mm guns back in line with the heavier guns was neccessary and it felt wrong in CBT when they introduced that massive range buff to those guns. Of course many people liked it but it really doesn't work well and it led to the introduction of awkward firing arks for such guns so while they have their range, they also have travel times which make them only semi usable. Hitting someone when your bullets are traveling 15+ seconds is rather hard to do in most circumstances. Anyway, we should really wait until us regular players know what is really changing before we start a witchhunt.

Takru replied to MrFingers's topic in General Discussion
Interesting. However, this also means that NA people are running through the available tech trees quicker than other communities. What happens when they are "done"? Heck I feel like I have little to do in the game and I haven't a single T10 ship yet. -

Takru replied to MrFingers's topic in General Discussion
I wonder how much more people you can get to play the game and what is even more interesting, how many of those you can turn into paying customers. You see, the sheer number of people who could potentially play the game isn't really that interesting, it's the money they can potentially spend on the game. This is where we look at the USA and Canada as probably the most wealthy countries there and if we look at their premium shop, we can assume that it is calculated with these customers in mind. The available income in many other countries will be lower, similar to the disparity within the European continent. However, I would assume that the disparity in the NA region is significanlty higher than in EU. That said, I would assume that Wargaming needs to do marketing the way people in the USA expect it to be while at the same time offer viable content, may be more USN premium ships? -
May be the Devs could migrate their Q&A over to much friendlier Europe community?
-
May be limit the maximum skill points captains can use in low tier would've been a more viable solution here? After all, the experience people in low tiers usually have high skill captains which bring along all the benefits of their trade. Since you got few if any interesting module slots in low tiers, high skill captains do have that much more impact there.
-
Point being that currently, we only "know" about the nerf that is bringing 140+mm artillery back in line with the normal game. What we do not know yet is what other skills will be introduced / modified. Those might compensate the shorter range, which wasn't all that useful really when your shells traveled like 15+ seconds. I would wish for a lot more captain perks which offer different choices so the same ship would play differently depending on captian perks while still being competitive. In this regard, Wargaming should offer dilemma choices where you can pick one perk but not the other one. That way they could make perks on all tiers interesting and challenging choices.

Why are more afk players in ranked than in normal ?
Takru replied to N00b32's topic in General Discussion
Point being that chances are that people are equally afk in both teams, in theory. And sometimes the queue times are horrendous, especially for CV, so people might tab out and not notice that a battle is going on. Nevermind the brackets which do nothing other than prolong the queue time even more by limiting the number of eligible players at any given time. -

Takru replied to MrFingers's topic in General Discussion
It's not about lack of synchronization, it's about the constantly worse treatment of the EU region when it comes to contests, prizes, give aways etc. I'll keep the pitchfork in the barn for now, but I'd like to hear what WG EU will do or not do regarding this. -
Before anything else is said here, I would want to point out that I am happy that the Wargaming employee took the time to answer those questions. That said, I am not happy with some of those answers. http://thearmoredpatrol.com/2016/01/31/wows-tap-qa-iii-answered-questions/ Can someone please send the gentleman the pictures of the 3rd Reich flag and the flag of the German empire so he may understand that those are actually two different things? The latter even is in the game files... German BBs August 2016... well, I don't mind them being release then, but I really, really hope that there'll be new tech trees until then and more than only the RN cruiser line.
-
Instead, someone could file a lawsuit against the display of the Hammer and Sickle flag in the game. It might very well be labled as an anticonstitutional symbol in Germany, Austria and a couple more of those countries. The prospect of something like that even taking place might help. Potentially losing German speaking market would probably be a substantial blow to WG. Someonce got a good law insurance to do that? Nevermind that since Wargaming does divide up the World into different fiscal areas, they could as well adapt their flags accordingly... it's not rocket science...

Ah, didn't see that. Gonna self report this for closing. Sorry, should've looked there first, blind me.
