You need to do some more CV-ing, though

French and Polish WG people have stated that JR II has been removed due to "wrong / misleading descirption" and that it should be back soon.
-
20 seconds isn't that much time, especially when you light up something not immediately in your gunsights. Nevermind that you'd still have to inflict enough damage in that time on the target which would be quite a challenge when you're the only one seeing the enemy ship. Or ships.

Are new players expected to pass on the German Line for now?

But can you then use the captain on the Omaha in your example once you're done retraining on the Sims or do you have to retrain him for the Omaha again? -
What you do not take into account in any of your examples: The guy in front of you will more likely than not have to dodge incoming torps or shells as he tries to dish out damage to the enemy. If you drop torps from behind, that can very easily be what forces him into enemy torps/shells. When you're in a knife fight on the front line, you don't need someone trying trick shots at the enemy in front of you. If friendlies die to your torps, you're wrong and you fully deserve that pink color. You impede their room for maneuver and their chance for survival, you better be willing to accept the consequences. Yes, 2nd line torping can be done under very specific circumstances. But in the majority of cases, it just is not a wise decision. If anything it tells us that the guy who does that wants to get kill without getting too close to the fighting and it also tells us that you'd rather risk a friendly running into your torps than sailing to a point where you'd have a more reasonable angle.

Why would you not retrain captains in random battles? Also, I understood that if you train a captain on a regular ship, you can put him on any premium ship of the same nation free of charge. However, if you put him back on the regular ship, that'll make him have to retrain as well? -

Can you not retrain captains in Coop as well? I'm not aware of a limitation there. -
Da steht ja das automatisch ausgetauscht wird.... Zumal man ja drei Mal Rang 1 erreicht haben muss.... oder?
-
Thanks. So we get a JR for reaching rank 1 in any season. We get a JR II for reaching rank 1 a second time in any other season. We get a free premium ship if we get two JR II flags, which equals 3 times rank 1 in ranked seasons?
-
Can you guys please drop a screenshot? Can't login right now. We're still waiting for a rank 1 reward ship from season 2 anyways....

Just play the German cruiser line then? -
Been taken her out for a few battles, now that the discussion arose. I got several games without CVs, which makes the whole ship a lot less entertaining. In those battles, you really can only sail up and down at max gunnery range and try to dodge shots. Torps can be useful, but the angle forces you to go full broadside and their range is quite poor. When there are CVs around, the Yubari is such a rare sight that most CV players do not seem to notice her as something which could possibly have dramatic effect on their attack runs. The AA isn't very strong and you're lucky if you get a plane or two down before they drop their payload. I guess the real benefit is the scattering effect on enemy attackers but that is not very rewarding in terms of XP or credits. I'd argue that she needs higher DPS to really be able to knock out enemy planes more regularily, even when she runs out of AA Defensive fire consumable. Being an AA platform is what is supposed to define this ships, isn't it?

The idiot being the guy who drops torps from the 2nd row. The guy in the first row usually is way too focussed on what is going on in front of him, you can not reasonably expect him to take into account someone trying to torps from absurd places. Which is a bold claim to make since you prefer to hide your stats, so nobody can check whether or not you are talking the truth here.
-
Can you please add a marker where people can choose to not be available for team battles? I've been receiving invites as a merc several times now and I just don't want to join in. I do see that I can just not react or click the invitation away, but the point is that if you could opt out in such a way, it would make looking for mercs a lot less frustrating for those who are waiting for another player.

None taken, poor wording on my part. Well at least I now know someone read what I wrote
-
No. The OPs whining was about someone running into his torps instead of being sunk by the enemy team. At 6 km range you can't do that much to deliberately run into blue torps to start with. He failed to take into account that there's someone from his own team fighting the enemy, launched his own torps and thereby made the whole situation a whole lot worse for the guy who was actually fighting on the front. He got a TK for that and by all accounts, he can not make any argument whatsoever for not being guilty of sinking a blue ship.

+ increase AA damage so that the ship can perform it's role as an reliable and outstanding AA platfrom on her tier. + increase standard charges of AA ability to 2. With perk and premium it can be increased to 4. + increase turret traverse time, so the ship can actually reliably participate in a battle outside the AA role. + decrease the damage the ship takes. Yubari dies very easily since she is such a big target. + increase torpedo launch angles to 110° on each side. The torpedos only have 6 km range, give the ship the ability to fire them without having to present full broadside to the enemy.

I did write gunboats, not stealth firing gunboats, did I?
-
Obviously none. But take into account the various islands on the majority of the maps, you can easily come up with situations where a DD might be stealth firing at someone else and a cruiser happens to come within radar range.
-
... unless you take into account the range of torps a Shima can drop. All you would achieve would be that DDs would try to avoid getting much nearer than 10 or 9 km to their target... which they should avoid anyway since you never know where enemy DDs are. Who will be hurt by such a new tool? Gunboat DDs.

It also shows his winrate as 42,76%. *shudders*

What Were Your Greatest Gaming Achievements Today ?

To be fair, those stats are probably older than 0.5.3 and from the grand old days when Lexington usually ran up with 2/1/1 setups
