Alpha-flag gives 5% boost in ship- & captain experience

The flag does grant an awesome boost of 5% to ship and commander XP. Yeah, that means they have no idea how regular players experience the grind down the tech tree... -

Been playing about 20-30 games with Lexington post-0.5.3 now. US DBs seem very, very random from my experience. When your squadron attacks something, there is no way to predict whether or not they will actually hit or do any damage. It also does matter very little whether you use manual or auto aim. I do understand that RNG is part of the game, but this really is too much RNG, considering the effort and time it takes to get your DBs into position in the first place.

Radar devices do have a lot of different ways to operate. As you know, rotating speed is one of the factors, but you also have to take into account potential noise (or false-positives) as well as what is commonly known as radar shadows. And this is shipborne radars only we talk about. When you have radar on aircraft, they can operate in a surface search mode where the dish rotates very quickly. This is meant to weed out false-positives by way of giving the operator a lot more images to decide whether or not a "blip" actually is a contact. Then we can delve more into wavelength, too. The shorter the wavelength, the more accurate the picture you get, but the more energy you need relative to the distance you want to cover. This comment is not meant to discredit your idea, I just wanted to throw in some more factors when it comes to operating a radar. May be this could also be factored in when considering solutions.

Die Lage am Arbeitsmarkt ist in Deutschland jetzt auch nicht so, dass man unbedingt gezwungen ist sich im Ausland einen Job zu suchen. Zumal es da ja auch immer Dinge wie Gehalt, Lebenshaltungskosten, Steuern, Versicherungen etc pp zu berücksichtigen gibt. Hatte mich mal für einen Job im Ausland beworben, der auch deutlich besser bezahlt worden wäre, allerdings wären dort auch Lebenshaltungskosten und Steuern um einiges höher gewesen, so dass ich am Ende effektiv weniger gehabt hätte als in meiner damaligen Position.

More than 1500 shots fired per battle? To think that those are average values and there could be even more ammo flying / swimming around in any given ranked battle....

Nevermind that I personally am just a tad more happy seeing WG doing an actual roundup for this season, something which went down the drain at some stage after season 2 :-/

May be you'd get a rank 1 camo... whole ship night black with white acents like gun barrels? Firing laughing skulls instead of normal ammo?

Ah yeah, if WG had not started the whole thing by introducing an non-announced reward in the first place, that might actually be somewhat reasonable. But as it is, your suggestion is just worthless.

May be it's just me, but... when WG hints that there'll be extra rewards, there should be extra rewards. when WG employees pretty much tell us that there'll be extra reward ships, there should be extra reward ships. when WG implements stuff which tells us that it's basically a token which will be transformed into a reward ship, well... I do see that things can go wrong, like the apparently wrong description of the Jolly Roger II. WG staff have been posting that it was wrong, that this was the reason why the flag was removed and that it'll come back once the description has been corrected. That's alright with me. If we get a purely cosmetic extra reward, that's great, although I still wonder if Wargaming might have attracted more people to ranked battles if they had told us that there'll be a new Jolly Roger right from the start.

No idea why you are raging that much. I was referring to WG postings over at the NA forums, which is about as official comments we will ever get when it comes to any Wargaming title. And if you think these forums are that bad, why do you frequent it in the first place, nevermind have made about 350 postings here?

You realize that WG handed out Kitakami to those who made it to rank 1 in season 1? You also realize they did not announce that little bonus beforehand either? Unless you take into account what WG people wrote on NA forums, where they not only wrote that there'd be a reward ship, they even specifically said that a rank 1 season 2 reward ship would not be the Kitakami. I might get bored enough to skim through the NA forums later today.

I'd rather have the old description where it'd grant a free premium ship. Not expecting a Tirpitz here, but considering that there were quite obvious hints that there'd be a reward ship for rank 1 in season 2 on the NA community, I still wonder if some day WG will get around to life up to that promise. Or, if WG decides not to hand out a premium ship for rank 1 in season 2, that they'd at least tell people. You know, making promises and then not coming around to fulfill those is kinda... poor company behaviour.

I wrote that in context of the idea of only enabling the cruiser who uses the radar ability to see the formerly hidden DD.
