Do we need a premium CV? No. Would it be a nice addition? Yes.

*Sarcasm-meter explodes*

Well, it might just be that I'm not that much of an RTS person to find IJN carriers that entertaining. I've got to say that I didn't encounter any Shokaku so far which managed to snipe me in my Lex, even without AA heavy loadout.
-
And yet something else: Would it be possible to select ships and make the skill selector affect the ship's stats, i.e. weapon range, chance to cause fire etc?
-
Would it be possible to make the skill calculator available in different languages as well? Also, would it be possible to show the total XP required to actually get to X amount of skill points?

Wenn das nur in der RU community war, woher wissen die dann was die anderen communities wollen?

What ShockPirat wrote. Found it out the hard way when they introduced the change in 0.5.2

He's referring to RU market most likely, the individual communities having a somewhat independent life off mother Rus... Belarus...

^What he said.

I think Vanhal is asking what the term exactly encloses. Semester is usually used when it comes to higher education schools, where they range from April to September and October to March, give or take. But I take it that in this case, he is referring to the first half of the year.
-
Mind you that the guy is talking about RU market where the price usually is about 2/3 of what other communities have to pay... Nevermind that the RU community more often than not has more options than just the most expensive bundle.

I do that as well. Usually reserved for the odd DD that keeps hidden and spots the enemy instead of going yolo or the CV that leaves a squadron over enemy DDs instead of having them return for servicing. Or may be a BB that shoots at the most immediate threat to someone else instead of trying to get shots on some more distant ship which happens to sail broadside on. Dissuade an enemy can be worth a lot in itself and even if you have AP loaded, you can hurt an enemy DD quite a lot.

The last time Tirpitz and Warspite were sold was during christmas time and in relatively expensive bundles. If memory serves, Warspite was 50€, Tirpitz was 60€. That is a lot of money, especially during that time of the year and especially considering what else you can buy for that money (i.e. Fallout 4 or some other triple A title). May be we'll see those ships with less... extravagant bundles later this year. I'd love to see another CV line, but considering the troubles WG has with balancing the lines which are there already, I do understand that they'd rather sort out how the mechanics should work in the end before introducing more ships which might (and most likely will) cause more troubles.

Been taking out my Shokaku a few times. In the end, I feel that the Shokaku suffers from her setup, which has way less damage potential than her counterpart the Lexington. While the Lexington can choose to go all out damage, Shokaku is forced to take on two fighters. Her DBs are more precise but also a lot mor fragile. They also suffer a lot more from enemy AA consumable / fighters / fighter floatplane. IJN still has to rely on TBs to do damage, DBs can dish out some extra, but I feel that they're a lot less a factor than on the USN carriers. Mirror matching means that you can make use of your fighters, but the IJN fighters more often than not can only annoy USN planes. It usually takes quite a while until they manage to destroy an enemy squadron. Nevermind that if you happen to run into an air superiority Lexington, you are in for a very, very tough ride, no matter the loadout of your captain and ship. As it is now, the USN CV line is much more enjoyable for me and I don't see myself playing IJN CV much. What puzzles me even more is that a few months back, the IJN CVs were forced to take on fighters in their loadouts so they could not go all out damage. Now we have USN carriers with pretty much this loadout all over the place. With DBs being much more potent, even the damage output of Midway and Essex does not seem to be much less than before, if you stage your attacks carefully. Something else: Lexington can carrier snipe, Shokaku has lots of problems to do so. Lexington AA is quite potent so Shokaku squadrons will loose a few planes before they hit the Lexington. Essex can be sniped by Taiho and vice versa, I guess it'd be the same for Midway and Hakuryu. Don't know about lower tiered CVs.

To be honest, I prefer games where I'm top tier and only have to fight one enemy CV. However, playing as CV kinda tends to make you play with 4 CVs in total per match for some reason.... Bottom line: You rarely get what you want.

Kamikaze R in the premium shop - That was fast...
Takru replied to Nechrom's topic in General Discussion
WIth about 23.000 Kamikaze dished out due to the event, you can't really argue for it being something exclusive, can you? WG said they'd make it available for purchase after the event and so they did. Even in a comparatively modest bundle. If anybody wants to buy it, go ahead. -
It tends to even out. For every fail team you get, you get a game where the other side has one, too. When I notice one, it rarely seems to have that much impact anyway. Sure, you can a lose a game, but more often than not the fail division is just part of the reason why my side lost.

From what was very briefly readable, they plan to implement some changes although we do not know whether they plan to change such things as game modes.

I realize that but it still leaves open a rather interesting question. Why is the MK not OP when it is essentially a very similar ship to the Mogami which has been hit by the nerfs? That really is what I do not understand. If the Mogami was hit hard by the nerfbat because she was overperforming. But with the MK we now got a ship which is very similar to how the Mogami was before 0.5.3 ....
-
What puzzles me is that they buff the MK to pre-nerf stats while e.g the Mogami, which is rather similar to the MK, is not.

POLL: Which ships are you waiting for the most?

Didn't know those were two different breeds...
