Looks interesting, for a tier 5 BB/BC, maybe tier 6, but not for a tier 9 CA.

Their is no discount. You want to sell something for x. To make it more appealing you invent a value y and then claim you discounted it from y down to x. Sadly a far too commen business practice.

The thing with RNG is, that it benefits noobs more just because the way it works. If you know where and how to aim, the only thing RNG can do for you is to screw you up. On the other hand if you have no clue how to aim, RNG can only do two things, make you miss even harder, which doesn't matter or let one or two shells hit. The same thing is with evasion. If you know how to dodge the only thing RNG can do is hitting you with a stray shell. Granted fires are a complete different beast. I had matches with 20+ fires and matches with the first fire after 100+ hits.

WG will not change the MM. WG will introduce real Tier 10 premium ships for 180+ bucks not just the special ships we have now and shortly after that we get special tier 11 ships with reduced maintenance and for a new creditsink tier 12 gets introduced and the circle continues. I hope I'm wrong but I fear I'm right. -

Let me look in my crystal ball. Next year we will have super submarines, the Japanese one can launch a squad torpedo bombers every minute, the German one can launch V1 rockets, the Russian one is nuclear powered with unlimited dive capacity, the American one can respawn once every match thanks to unlimited US industrial capacity. Spreadsheet says this will be fun and engaging, the statistic claim it will not hurt match quality and the silent majority approves. Disclaimer: This could be slightly sarcastic. -
Would be nice if the aiming ellipse would be visible on screen like by artillery by wot. This could help to show some people how unlikely a hit is on this 30km distant target.

The shells will most likely land in their dispersion ellipse. The question is, is the dispersion ellipse always where we think it is or does the aiming assist puts it somewhere else at times.

Thanks for the info. I just checked both sites, maybe it is a issue with my phone or I didn't looked in the wrong locations. On wowsft I couldn't find the fire resistance and on shiptool I did find the fire resistance but no way to check the fire resistance on the Z-44 prior to 0.10.8. Maybe you can help me.

Regarding the fire chance. Do we have any non WG-sponsored source for this? In 0.10.8 WG claimed to fix bug on the Z-44, on which the Z-44 could be easier set on fire than it should be. Not that I don't trust WG. But I don't trust WG.

Sorry but fact check says false. The République has 17" (431mm). Granted it's the only one. But why should the Alsace care, she can bounce 457mm shells.

Let's see if I understand this situation. The cruiser is sitting behind an island, this island blocks the shells but somehow doesn't block Schlieffen coming from the same direction. The Schlieffen can either push through the cap spotted and contested and the cruiser decides to stay and wait, or the Schlieffen can charge through the cap unspotted and uncontested and cruiser is in position it can only reverse from? By the way the 12 16" super heavy AP shells will overmatch the cruiser bow and the 30mm plating will help you not as much as think against the improved penetration angles. Now let's replace the island camping cruiser with a island camping BB and the Schlieffen with a, let's see, Kleber, Shima, Gearing any DD with enough torpedos to devstrike a BB. Is this a sign of the DD being op or the BB missplaying? Every described situation of the Schlieffen being op plays at sub 12km. Is the Schlieffen strong sub 12km? Yes, maybe even op. Is the Schlieffen crap at above 14km? Absolutely. If I had to play Schlieffen at its current state at ranges above 14km and had no option to close the distance, I would rather be in a Norca or Amagi, even the Sinop would probably be a better pick. The problem I have as a "Schlieffen apologist " is not that you want to nerf the brawling capabilities of the Schlieffen but that you offer no compensating long range buff. In WG minds it goes like this: Long range up + short range op = balanced This ship is sadly balanced by extremes. For what I care the brawling capabilities of the Schlieffen can be nerfed to the ground, remove the hydro, remove the torps, makes its secondaries useless, but in return I want Ohio-style, accurate, I-do-not-care-about-your-armor main guns. Since WG will nevet admit they missdisigned this ship line nor redesign it. We "Schlieffen apologist " just want to point out its weaknesses. If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle. Disclaimer: the following is not meant to be taken too seriously Trigger warning: provoking joke incoming To everyone complaining about the Schlieffen let me give you the same answer BB driver got as they complained about island and smoke camping HE spammers. If you have problems with it you are out of position, let your team help your with them your are not alone. Stop crying. Improvise. Adapt. Overcome. And most importantly. Get gud. -

So a cruiser is dieing to its hard counter at close range? What is the difference between getting killed by secondaries at 12 km to getting devastated by mainguns from a Montana, Yamato, Kremlin, Thunderer and so on at 13+. What I do if a cruiser buddy getting caught by BB at close range? The same thing I always do, I let him die and try to win without him. -

So you give ground and kite, why does it not work on the Schlieffen? And don't give me because 55knot torps or 35 knot ship speed. All you need to kill a Schlieffen from range is a DD spotting the Schlieffen that is able to hold its fire for once to not get spotted in return. -

The Schlieffen isn't that much faster than most BBs, the French one has similar a speed and 30mm overmatch. To light up a GK from range you have to give ground first and that is the main issue people complain about. To deal with a suicide pushing Schlieffen you have to give ground. In what position is the cruiser that it can get drive-by torpedoed by the slow Schlieffen torps? And any other Tier10 BB can't trade 1:1 against defenders that refuse to give ground? The problem is not, that Schlieffen is OP, the problem is, that years of long-range snipping meta didn't teach the community how to deal with a pushing BB. -

The situation in which the Schlieffen seems to be op gets pretty much always described as the Schlieffen pushes undetected in the cap, does not care about the presence of the DD and either kills or pushes the DD out of the cap and pressures the supporting cruiser. Now remove the Schlieffen from this situation and put every other Tier 10 BB in that spot doing the same thing. How would you spot it and why does it not work on the Schliefen? -

While I agree that some island are necessary. I can also see the other side. Their are some islands that are so shallow that even a Petro can't hide behind and only limit the room for maneuvers and some island are far too close to some spawn locations, that you have to take a great detour to get to right course to the cap point. -
