  1. Hello commanders! We are ready to announce the details of the new Azur Lane collaboration. This time new content is not limited to Commanders with original voice line packs, but also features ships, port, a new Collection and more. We already have 7 Azur Lane Commanders, but this event will bring 8 more: Neptune, Prinz Eugen, Dunkerque, Atago, Azuma, Montpelier, Yukikaze and Kaga. Two new ships will come into game: USN tier VIII cruiser Montpelier and Japanese tier VIII destroyer Yukikaze. The room from Azur Lane will become a special port, complemented by background music. Also the Azur Lane Collection will be available, the reward for completing it — Commander Azuma. Further information will be available on the Official Portal. We would like to remind you that you can hide the special commanders using the Additional Content settings panel. Good luck and Fair Seas!
  2. No this only works for players who were recruited after yesterday's launch of the Recruiting Station. Greetings, Crysantos
  3. Yes we do offer incentives for new players when they start but if you take a look at this feature, you will realize that it actually rewards the veterans who invite new players the most. In addition to that we added so much content to the game, ranging from daily containers, event arcs, free premium ships, boatload of free camos, signal flags, event currencies, reward ships, etc. etc. for playing our game - we offer anniversary gifts and much more. So if you take a step back and look at all the things you can get in our game, I'm sure you'll see that your statement is far from true. Yes, that'll work with the system. Hi, the invitations from the very first systems don't work anymore, the connections from the previous "invite a friend" program were saved. If your friends stopped playing more than 90 days ago, you can re-invite them, otherwise it won't work. We can't retroactively reward you with the new system for referrals you made a few years back, the old system already rewarded you guys back then. Let me doublecheck on our side, you should have received it. Greetings, Crysantos
  4. This is the entire screen? Could you send our customer support a ticket with this screenshot attached? Looks like the resolution is borked. You can also access it here: https://friends.worldofwarships.eu/ There should be a big orange button stating "Send invitation". This isn't related to the topic but it's actually not true. We didn't sell any rare ships in the store directly and e.g. Santa Crates have always included a rare chance to get one of the rare ships. We have a lot of content going on and we switched to story arcs in early 2018, we also actually added an additional week between updates to improve quality. We always had an invite-a-friend program and the feedback was quite clear for the last iteration of this program, so we improved it to make sure it's interesting and offers good rewards for those who help by inviting their friends and acquaintances. Greetings, Crysantos
  5. Did you invite them via "Invite a friend"? If you still know their nickname, I'll check with our customer support. Otherwise just send them the link and they will be added automatically. When it comes to the rewards, happy to read your feedback about that. Thanks, yes the rewards are now much better They should work like Santa Crates but I'll doublecheck to confirm. Greetings, Crysantos
  6. If you invited them via our system, they will still count for you towards your recruitment points. Or if you have friends who stopped playing 90+ days ago, they're also eligible for this system. Greetings, Crysantos

Twitch Drops 0.8.4 —Check out What's New!

I'm sure all CCs have it enabled, at the end of the day this is up to each streamer (since it's a setting on their end) and we don't have any influence on that. Please don't forget that while the number of containers is reduced, we added the missions which allow you to get your hand on additional camouflages, etc. Yes we're looking into an update to update approach but we're still testing with the feature. Greetings, Crysantos
  8. Könnt ihr unseren Kundendienst bitte ein Ticket schicken, es sollte eigentlich wieder funktionieren seit gestern Abend. lg, Crysantos

    New game mode incoming?

Hi there! While I understand that you would love to see more historical content, these special modes allow us to try new mechanics in a less realistic setting and be creative. These modes are usually also quite popular with a large percentage of our player-base, otherwise we wouldn't invest the time and effort to create them. We give you constant updates on the work being done on CV balancing and AA rework, we released the British CVs with 0.8.1, Soviet BBs with 0.8.4 and the French DD line is next in line. Please don't pretend like we're not adding a lot of content - we add content every 4 weeks, ranging from new tech trees with historical aspects, collections, themed events, etc. There is a limit to what we can add content wise because designing ships, modeling, balancing, etc. all takes months of time. You can be assured that we're doing our best to also offer these other trees in the future. We already tweaked training rooms but they obviously cater to a very small amount of players. I get your point about more historical content - and you can be sure that we'll pass that sentiment along. Greetings, Crysantos

EU Stream "Clearing smoke" ST - New game event

Hi, If you follow the DevBlog you know that we're working on the CV balance, the gun bloom will follow as promised at some point but there are some things with higher priority at the moment, like reworking the AA sectors (which is done by the same team). As you can imagine we have different development teams working on different aspects of the game - and while you might not enjoy new game modes, others do. We're always doing our best to improve the game but also offer new content. Greetings, Crysantos

    Ranked Battles: the Twelfth Season

Hi, No worries, the forums are a place for exactly such questions. The focus on one Tier is mainly due to MM since players are spread out over several rank groups and we did experiment with two Tier Ranked seasons before. The seasons are usually alternating with clan battles to provide different content and to not overload players with activities - it also makes sure that there is some variety in gameplay. I wouldn't expect that, even though it would be probably quite entertaining. Don't make me suggest it for a sprint Greetings, Crysantos

    Ranked Battles: the Twelfth Season

We do, even if you might not agree with all of our changes - but for example initial spotting delay or adjusting difficulty for hitting DDs with HE bombs is very much feedback-based. A resource you can use in the Armory to cure excessive use of caps lock... erhm, I mean to buy special permanent camouflages for your Steel ships. You can find that in the Camouflages Tab of your Armory. Greetings, Crysantos

    Ranked Battles: the Twelfth Season

I understand your point of view and you are right, of course both can't be compared 1:1 - the same applies for the kind of damage application by CVs and to planes. We will see how population numbers for each of the classes are going to affect the ranked season and work with the results from this. But the meta always depends on what players pick - the same happens when other classes are popular and players adapt with their ship choices, especially with such specific modes as ranked. Guys, we do understand your sentiment regarding CVs and the concerns about their impact on the gameplay, in particular for ranked. I can assure you that we're collecting your feedback here and pass it along to our developers. Greetings, Crysantos

    Ranked Battles: the Twelfth Season

We are aware of the effect that carriers can have, just as we are aware of the impact of other classes, like a lonely DD would have on a flank if he isn't spotted. Flanking of lonely ships is more difficult in a competitive mode - just as it was beforehand in any other ranked season with CVs, where they could pick attack you with several squadrons at the same time or spot anything that moved away from the heavy AA cruisers. But it is still possible and as usual competitive modes require teamplay to counter several things - from being outspotted, flanked, harassed by a DD, etc. We'll see how this season turns out and it'll obviously help us to finetune the balance where needed. Greetings, Crysantos

    Ranked Battles: the Twelfth Season

The AA still works as indended - this is not a technical fix, it's more about how the economy is calculated based on damage applied per plane instead of planes destroyed in the future. I know you disagree with the CV gameplay personally but the gameplay isn't a public test. We're confident that the changes we're applying to 0.8.4 are going to help with the difficulty for DDs significantly and the future changes we're aiming for have been outlined in the DevBlog recently. Greetings, Crysantos

    Ranked Battles: the Twelfth Season

No worries, we always pass this sentiment along and are trying to offer a good variety. We can't fix this right now, but it's in our roadmap for CV changes (as posted last week on the DevBlog). We had an uneven Tier season before this one (Tier IX) and we tried out two-Tier seasons before but I don't think it got the best feedback. A few things to consider here though - players have to have at least 200 battles to be able to play ranked in general. They will only get rentals for the shipclass they play on Tier VIII - so they have an idea about how to play their ship class and they met plenty of Tier X ships while playing Tier VIII. We made several changes for Update 0.8.4 when it comes to efficiency of CVs vs. DDs and will monitor the situation there. Greetings, Crysantos

    Ranked Battles: the Twelfth Season

We had several sprints on other Tiers and also a Tier IX season previously, we're trying to keep some variety We have several changes for CVs planned for 0.8.4 that should help DDs a lot. CVs were part of ranked seasons before - with several squadrons in the air at the same time. And we'll monitor how the new CV gameplay will fit with ranked battles during the seaon. I need to check about this, not in the very near future though. Greetings, Crysantos

Hi! Did you experience that problem over the entire weekend or just on Friday? We deployed a small patch on Friday to fix the planes/minimap issue. Greetings, Crysantos

    ST: Changes to test ships

It was still performing too well while her gameplay is a lot of fun. This way other DDs get a bit more options once the Kleber gets spotted and the Kleber has to take a bit more risk when it comes to launching torpedoes. If we see the need to compensate for that change, we will do this like for any other ship - but right now we consider this change to put the Kleber in a good spot without changing her playstyle. Have you played her? The Kremlin is a ship that needs to take a position at the front of the fleet, thus it will get focused a lot - that's the reason why she is very tanky to be able to hold her ground. Once we have more info on Slava, we'll share it. Greetings, Crysantos

  23. Captains, Due to a technical error in update 0.8.3, the Radar range of USN premium cruisers Montpelier and Wichita changed to 10 km instead of correct and intended 9 km. This will be fixed in update 0.8.4, as we specifically reworked all Radar ranges for all ships to be systematic, and would like to avoid any inconsistencies. While we've tested Montpelier with the correct range all the way until her release (and Wichita was originally released with the correct range), we value your trust in us above all and want to own up to our mistakes. Thus, all purchases with Montpelier and Wichita in Premium shop made after update 0.8.3 and until 23:59 UTC, May 3, can be fully refunded. The refund will be available until 23:59 UTC, May 31. To claim it, please file a ticket to Customer Support. We apologize for any possible inconvenience and thank you for your patience. Best regards, Your World of Warships Team
