How can I become quality poster, community rep or privateer?
Crysantos replied to ___V_E_N_O_M___'s topic in General Discussion
I think I need a cup of coffee first before reading further. ... On a more serious note - feel free to send us an application, but given the content you usually post the chances are rather small that you would be accepted in any of those - you can also see the reaction of fellow forumites to your thread here, which should give you an indication of how your posts are currently seen. Your BB guide is rather the exception than the rule - provide good, high quality content on a regular basis and we can have a conversation about this. Greetings, Crysantos -
You can be sure that the guys responsible for trying to manipulate a contest will be sanctioned accordingly and with no mercy. We're currently still hunting the remaining bots and swinging the ban hammer, fyi. Greetings, Crysantos
-
Please send them in under "Bug report". We're on this and apply sanctions accordingly We already banned a significant amount of similar accounts on Tuesday and apparently there's a new wave, so we are taking care of this now, too. No worries, we're monitoring this but obviously there is a certain delay between people trying to do this and the time by which it gets sanctioned - but we're on it and whoever is trying to get some advantage with this won't succeed, quite the contrary. Addressing bugs that have been in the game since day1
Crysantos replied to Yankmyplank's topic in General Discussion
I understand your point of view - but it's not the initially stated "many many reports for ages" situation that you claimed it to be - and I'm not here to dispute that apparently you're experiencing issues. I can't tell you why you have those issues because afaik there is no such reported bug currently, so that's why I asked you to please provide us with the information as stated above so we can try to help you. There are many reasons for potential problems, ranging from a bad internet connection leading to desyncs, issues with your client or other software. Sorry but just because you press a button doesn't mean that info is magically read by the server, it needs to be sent over and processed. Since we don't have any similar reports lately a server-wide issue with this would be known and is apparently not the case, so the most likely scenario is an issue with your local client / PC / connection. Not stating this - we just need to see proof / examples / WGChecks to investigate and help you. You can share the ticket ID with me afterwards and I'll see how we can help you from our side. Greetings, Crysantos -
It might be a conspiricy theory, ...but
Crysantos replied to K98_Schuetze's topic in General Discussion
Even though I never understood that sentiment. Yes you can keep playing ships you know you are strong in, but that will never make you a properly well rounded, good player. Play the ships you suck in and understand why yo do poorly in them - the same aspect is true for playing unpopular or lower / mid Tier ships. Many people like to skip those but they miss out on odd ships that might be really fun and they don't learn how to deal with it. Your WR might drop on a short term scale but on a long term scale you will be a better player and score better results in general. WR without context only tells you so much about player skill - if you compare a player with 60% WR on very specific ships and a player who hits 55% WR on average on all ships, I'd probably rather have the second guy on my side because I know he knows how to handle himself. If you don't make mistakes and try these things, you limit your own growth in skill and experience. Greetings, Crysantos- 79 replies

Crysantos replied to K98_Schuetze's topic in General Discussion
Well, if he feels more comfortable at lower Tiers, so be it. To be successful on the Missouri more experience on higher Tiers will definitely be helpful and make him a better player. Greetings, Crysantos -

Crysantos replied to K98_Schuetze's topic in General Discussion
Well, there is only so much impact you can have as solo player on a match of 12 vs. 12. There is always room for improvement and the best way to learn is to observe the best players out there and play with / against them. So competitive gameplay might be a decent way to further improve your skill. Sorry but that's a tinfoil hat theory. We have no interest in doing that and many other players with higher WR are a good example for that. Maybe Missouri is simply not "your" ship so to say? There are certain ships that fit your playstyle better than others, while some might just not work out for you. Most players have these oddlings in their port, if you keep playing the Missouri I'm sure your WR is going to even out. Also when "we" as company talk about statistics, we talk about statistics for the entire server population on regional and global levels. The one thing to keep in mind about improving statswise is that the only constant in your games is yourself. Learn how to make most out of your own impact on the game, communicate with others or play in division to have an impact on teamplay. Learn from your mistakes - if you look at the game to blame it for not progressing further, you're looking the wrong way and this will be an obstacle in becoming better - because you start blaming other factors than yourself. My 2 cents on this Greetings, Crysantos- 79 replies

Well it's about the content of the post. If it's in nature about naming & shaming, then it well get moderated or we might remove the image in that case to avoid that issue, but overall in this specific case it's not about naming & shaming but pointing out a weird pattern that includes the name. Main aspect is here the intention for me and if it's a case that is hard to judge, you can simply contact my team and we will do our best to investigate and follow up on it. Greetings, Crysantos
-
No worries, we check this anyway. But this is definitely the fastest way when there is a sudden spike because then we can act on it separately from existing systems to catch botters. We dislike this behavior just as much as you do and will do our part to combat it - but first we need to investigate what exactly is going on, which we're doing right now and then act on it. It never hurts to send in proof Greetings, Crysantos

A ticket is a good way, especially if you attach actual proof e.g. screenshots, replays, etc. - if you get a bad replay, escalate it to me or MrConway and we will look into it. Otherwise creating a thread and tagging us in here will get the job done, too - since we will check with our support about these guys and take appropriate action. While I try to answer my PMs, I get a ton of those and I usually prefer to answers things in a wider audience so that more people get to see the answer if it's interesting outside of a personal scope. So ticket / thread with tagging us are the preferred options. Greetings, Crysantos

No, not really. But if you send us a replay and a WGCheck we're happy to look into what might have caused that but it sounds like there is some issue on your side. Can also please make sure that there are no old remnants of mods installed? Greetings, Crysantos -

Hi guys, I don't speak Polish but @Dark_Havoc was so nice to translate the latest update on the Naval Training Center into Polish. I wanted to share it with those of you who don't speak English: Drodzy gracze! Jest to dokładnie da sama strona, którą i my reprezentujemy. Dziękujemy i powodzenia! -

Hey mate, I also created a separate thread for this if you want to have one dedicated to new ideas & suggestions: One additional thing I wanted to say - I'm sorry if some things were perceived in a way that we don't care or listen like previous posts or the stream - when we talk to you we always take our time to read your opinions and we want to address those concerns, but also show our side of the coin so that you can understand our approach / reasoning behind it. With this I'll sign off for today and enjoy the rest of my public holiday, Take care, Crysantos -

UPDATE Dear players, After many discussions and feedback analysis, we decided to change the direction of Naval Training Center development to meet your expectations and resolve your concerns. The part of NTC connected with resetting and revisiting ship lines will stay, however, the rewards will be fully reworked. The design process for this is not an easy task, so we can not share a lot of details right now. But what we can share is the new general concept: We will fully remove direct performance buffs for ships which were originally presented in this system. Your feedback on this was clear, and we don't believe that reducing these buffs further is any good (it will not resolve your concerns, and make the reward not interesting at the same time); We will instead focus on unique, interesting, but non-mandatory content, like new ships. For a start, we confirm that French tier X cruiser Colbert and US tier X battleship Ohio will be the first rewards for NTC. They will be available in the Armory for a special resource earned by revisiting the ship lines during seasons. The new resource earned will take the place between casually accessible coal and much more rare steel, which is mostly locked behind competitive. We will invest our resources in exploring other types of rewards. For example, while we're heavily limited by the game lore itself, we will try to design some new cosmetics to make your ships look cool and show off your achievements. Another option for the future rewards are Legendary upgrades. Introduced in the game long time ago, they offer a trade-off, a change in playstyle of a specific ship instead of a direct buff. In any case, additional rewards will take more time, and we will be happy to hear your new ideas. We know that the last few days were very heated, and we also know that the reason is that you love the game and care for it. We do, as well, and we're not taking the opposite side here. While we need to introduce more high-end progression to ensure the game will be healthy and evolving for years to come, we want to do it together with you. There is a lot to work on now, but we're sure that in the end, we will get to the good, appealing system which all of us will be able to enjoy. We will keep you updated, and please expect more news as soon as we make progress in development. Thank you, and see you soon! -

Please don't judge us that quickly - yes we wanted to introduce the system as we announced and we heard your feedback. We then went ahead and made a first revised version of this system and announced it basically within 24h after the initial DevBlog post. We're not blind or ignorant to your feedback, I know this is a big ask given the current sentiment here but have some faith in us. We do our best to deliver an outstanding game and while we sometimes make mistakes and live up to them, our goal has always been and will always be to deliver a fun game that is going to be around for a very long time, with you guys on our side. No worries, that was more aimed at some not so nice things said in the past 48h. No worries, I can differentiate between criticism of a system and a person - always happy to read your input. 1. We always have a certain schedule for things but that doesn't mean things can't get changed if the need arises to. We're flexible and don't shy away from postponing things if necessary. 2. We are a global company - there are many different public holidays, so you'll always run into the issue. But I'm not aware of this having any impact in our reaction since we were very active the past 48h and I'm here on my public holiday talking to you, because I care a lot. 3. Not really but I guess that depends on perspective. We are very transparent and announce in advance - for some things we take the feedback into consideration but are confident that it will work out in the way we expect, e.g. RPF, or for some things we see that this won't work and readjust our plans, e.g. Giulio Cesare. We value feedback very much and include it in our decision making process but we always have a the big picture in mind, which also includes the other 90% of users who don't use our platforms on forums, SM, etc. 5. Maybe, maybe not - but at the end of the day it was my call to focus this feedback in one thread because I wanted to make sure to have everything in one place. I'll keep you posted about any news on this topic. Greetings, Crysantos -
