We actually made a lot of changes based on the feedback we received for Submarines and we will keep doing this. The change with ASW isn't final yet but the current plan. Based on the feedback we got we want to make a change here and buff her. It's pinned for now and we of course understand that you will judge us by our actions, not just words. We will try to do better when it comes to communicating from our side regarding feedback but it's almost impossible to address every individual piece of feedback by every player, sorry. Thanks for the trust! Greetings, Crysantos

Agreed but we still wanted to address the issues and questions raised over the last weeks, so that you have an idea of what we're working on and towards. Thanks, change takes time and we didn't want to rush this statement. Greetings, Crysantos

Feel free to vent at me - dealing with a lot of negativity isn't very easy but everybody's different. I know that many Community or Social Media Managers and Developers struggle with this aspect - and there are plenty players who go beyond acceptable boundaries to express their strong feelings, even resulting in death threads and similar shenanigans. You might find that easy but for most it's far from that. What do you expect to achieve with your rant here besides venting your anger in a personal attack? You should realize that Community teams do their very best to make your voice heard and advocate on behalf of your feedback. My job here is leading our Community Team, making sure that we answer your questions where possible with the information we have or get from our developers and to collect and forward your feedback. On top of that we've been working hard on providing players with new ways to interact with us - e.g. the official Twitch channel and the global Discord server have been created by the EU team, we're also running our Update surveys to collect more representative feedback from a wider audience than here on the forums. We also provide our feedback on future changes and anticipated reaction internally so that developers can take this into account. This is our main job here, on top of that we try to run offline / online events where possible, support our CCs and communities (e.g. tournament organization) and other internal departments when needed. Just because you personally disagree or even many forumites, doesn't mean that the general playerbase feels this way. State your personal feedback but claiming to speak for everyone doesn't make your point stronger, it makes it actually weaker. I'm sorry to hear that and we'll see what we can do to help but this will be a longer process. I think we managed to change a lot in the meantime, if you take a look at the initial design of the PR and where we are now with the Dockyard, e.g. the last iteration with De Zeven Provincien - and many changes were based on the feedback. The topic around randomness in purchases is a big one and while I don't have any news on this right now, we're taking it very seriously and have internal discussions about how to address this in the future. Different teams are working on these aspects. Ship design and production involves different teams, while maps are coming from another team. That team has been working on the maps to be able to introduce submarines, which is a complex and lengthy task. This is why it's unfortunately a long delay between the release of maps at this point. I get that but that's why I'm telling you that you will hurt your chances to have such events with a comment like that. The event you're talking about happened before my time but that wasn't the point. I love to give players the opportunity to have an impact on the game, design things, hide easter-eggs, etc. - I think it's one of the coolest things a player can do in our industry. So when I see people making comments around "WG trying to outsource work" it makes me sad because it takes a lot of effort to involve players instead of just relying on our internal resources to do what they do best. Since you participated in this event when the game was released I think you understand what I mean. Might be an idea to merge forums, right now the forums are regional due to regional accounts. But it's something worth investigating, even though that would be a long-term goal :) Greetings, Crysantos -

Of course it's great if the Executive Producer checks each regional forum himself and he might do this with other accounts, but in general he has to rely on our regional team here doing our job well and providing him and the rest of the development studio with feedback, updates and reports. I can guarantee you that we're very proactive in that area and there's no way Sub is going to miss the EU feedback - and we collect it from many different sources, not only forums :) approved! Our developers have tested new modes over a long period of time, so they're very experienced it at it. Maybe we can share some insights on how this works in the future, I'm personally not an expert and trust them to make the best conclusions after tests. News maps were blocked by the work on the underwater world which was very extensive, we're now getting back to introducing new maps in 2022 and I hope there will be many more. Regarding the mode - I would personally like that and I'll be happy to suggest it. Greetings, Crysantos -

We test a lot of different modes, if you pay attention to our DevBlog, and actually many of them didn't make it to the live server. We did announce the test of Convoy mode during May in this DevBlog: https://blog.worldofwarships.com/blog/154 . Afterwards we evaluate the success of these tests and then decide what can make it to the live server :) It's a tricky situation with new modes - they're new and shiny when we introduce them for the first time. But they can get old quite quickly and we want to have variety in game. Maybe some of them will be successful enough and fit the game well enough to establish themselves next to the other permanent modes. We're also very careful with setting up expectations here, so let's see where this will go. With Darude soundtrack? It's my job and responsibility to ensure that we do the best possible Community Management. I don't shy back from taking the flak, I personally find it very important to be visible where possible, in good and in bad times - my job moved away a lot from direct interaction because my responsibility lie now in different areas compared to a few years ago. When it comes to Sub's post - as I've said, this wasn't intended to be a "NA exclusive Q&A", Sub stepped in to help address the NA forums since they currently lack several CMs. This has nothing to do with him not wanting to be on the EU forums and I'm sure he will be more publicly visible in the future, also for EU players. We're still working on many things and I hope we can also address this :) Greetings, -

I understand but I also have to say that not everything is that black and white. Subs have gone through many changes, based on feedback and we continue working on CVs, see the change to attack aircrafts recently. But there are several areas we need to improve in and we're working on it. Hi, there's no bad intention there. NA is currently understaffed with both Hapa and Kalvothe leaving the team, so other teams are helping out - including Sub_Octavian. He shared some additional insights than we could here so far and I agree that this isn't great - the information should be available in all regional forums. But this has nothing to do with "EU bad" or anything :) We confirmed the information here and I think we'll be able to share some digest about upcoming changes in a more structured way in the foreseeable future. Yes, I do - but the question is to what degree. See the removal of Dead Eye, buffing of Secondary skills, changes to attack aircraft, working and testing plenty of new modes - recently Grand Battles, now Convoy mode. I'm not saying that everything is awesome, we have to work on a lot of things and we made far too many mistakes in the past months. It's bad and we're working very hard internally to tackle them but this is a big beast. I'm not here to raise false hopes but this is what I can tell you here. Sub shared some things in context with comments on the NA forums with when and how we want to address these pain points. We will see, I think it's hard to meet everybody's expectations. Let's see what actions we can take and if we can restore some of the faith. Greetings, Crysantos -

Damned if you, damned if you don't. If we decide to make players part of the process it's commented on as "now we peons are supposed to produce new maps", if we don't involve you it's said that we don't care about player feedback. Please don't do this, you mostly hurt your own impact on the game with making such statements. I personally think it's a great opportunity if you care about the game to have some impact on its development. It's correct information shared by Sub_Octavian on the NA forums to address some pain points shared over there. Greetings, Crysantos- 123 replies

We don't reward it extra but we don't block you from playing these Tiers - and not everything in a game is about rewards. If you want to have fun on lower Tiers, go do it. I do it every once in a while as well but our main focus for experienced players is definitely on Tier V and above. All of the missions of the campaign are set up in a similar way and are doable in Coop - whether you trust me with that info is up to you. Thanks, I'll pass it along. Never be sorry for being a bit nerdy We can consider this for future offers - this campaign is quite unique in several aspects and we'll of course analyze feedback and how players interacted with all of the aspects of this event for the future. Have a nice day, Crysantos

We provide early access - which is a different form of progress faster in our game. This is a core principle of our game - free to play, pay to progress faster. This applies to premium time, economic boosters, etc. The EA provides both for free (e.g. the last EA for Dutch cruisers gave you Tier IV-VII for free + a nice skin for Tier VIII) and as paid options you could get the Tier VIII - IX. A lot of our players are focused on higher Tiers and that's normal but we still do produce content for lower Tiers and most tech tree branches feature low Tier ships (and usually many historical ones) We do have existing low Tier premium ships and they existed for a long time. We don't try to incentivize playing on lower Tiers too much, most missions and activities aim at Tier V+ but you can always go back and have a round of low Tier fun if that floats your boat. We also have special MM rules, a new player won't encounter an experienced player like me until he reaches a certain milestone in the game, so he has some time to learn the basics before interacting with more experienced players. As I've said, if you don't want to get the Tier II-IV container, pick a commander of your choice. If you don't want use consecutive bundles, you can decide to invest the doubloons somewhere else in the game or nowhere. It's your choice and you have full control. You also know exactly what's in the random bundles, in the campaign and in the rewards. We'll be happy to pass along your feedback but this is the first time we used this Tier II-IV container and we'll see how our players interact with this campaign in the game. Greetings, Crysantos

It's a matter of perspective - if you already have the Missouri, then you can get the doubloon compensation for that ship. I don't think many players would be interested in participating in a campaign dedicated to the USS Missouri if they wouldn't want to get it. But in any case you know what rewards will be there if you finish the campaign or purchase the bundles. The consecutive bundles are one of the rewards you can claim for the tokens, otherwise you can pick commanders or credits are rewards. The choice is up to you - you can buy her directly, you can unlock her through random bundles or you can skip her. Also you do get a free Tier II-IV premium ship or one of the commanders - just for playing the game. Edit: These ships you listed were removed from sale and are only part of special containers (e.g. Santa containers) - this has been the case before and is the case right now as well. I hope I could clarify this for you. Enjoy your Monday, Crysantos

I can of course quote more players but yours was a direct answer after my post and we've known each other for a while. I get the current frustrations and I hope we get to make some changes that will restore some faith in the future. I do always ask players to provide more context when making statements - even here, if you want to tell the player that none of the options are a good choice it will be way more helpful than just stating "none". That's also the same reason I personally (I do this in my private life as well) don't rely on polls for recommendations - everybody has different opinions and I'm much more interested in personal experience and reasoning than just a simple yes or no. Yes, I was biased by my own sentiment but that's why I asked or made my comment. My assumption was wrong and thanks for providing the context, now I get your opinion. I don't mind if you state your opinion, even if it's a negative one, as long as it's constructive. No worries! Take care and I hope you get to enjoy your new ship. Have a nice week guys, Crysantos

That might be true, it's a very subjective thing. For me Ise is the "easier" platform because you have a longer break between firing main batteries and angling is easier, so you can adjust to the different playstyle better and maximize damage output, while in a cruiser a 30s flight might lead to bad things being done to your cruiser in your absence :D

You can get the Tokens also in Random bundles for the Missouri, so you can get the Missouri + special signals + Tokens in there. If you already own all ships that the container can drop, you will get doubloon compensation. It's an added reward. If you want to get specific ships you can buy them directly in the Armory. If you just want to get the Missouri without anything extra, you can finish the web campaign (with very easy missions) and buy it directly for cash or contact our customer support to deduct the doubloons from your account in exchange for the ship. Have a nice week, Crysantos

Flandre, since Tone is much harder to master. I'd try Ise first and if you think that having this kind of mix on a Mogami playstyle then I'd go for Tone. I don't think that's constructive. Somebody is asking for sincere advice here and even if you disagree with somebody else spending money, this won't help him or solve his question. Have a nice week, Crysantos

I think you answered many points for yourself. I personally think Constellation is the most outstanding one in terms of playstyle since you seem to have many similar ships already in port for those listed, followed by the Borodino. Otherwise Flandre should be a nice ship if you enjoy playing JB / Bourgogne and like the battlecruiser-approach. Tone is of course quite unique in its playstyle but also difficult to master since you have to play a cruisers that needs a lot of attention plus the planes. I'd suggest checking some videos to see how their playstyle fits your own expectation, I find polls usually quite hard to help making decisions since they're disconnected from the actual reasoning behind the decision. Have a nice week!

Hi, There are many things we can do but we're of course fully aware of the limitations of our systems. We wanted to offer the option to purchase the Missouri for money or doubloons after finishing the thematic campaign after the initial feedback for the planned sale. There is a technical limitation for our Armory that we can't add this condition to the availability in there right now, so we have to use the customer support ticket solution for now - otherwise we would have to cancel that option entirely. When it comes to bug fixes it depends on the difficulty to track down a bug, find the issue and then apply a fix. There are bugs that are easy to fix, some require significantly more time depending on what aspects of the game they touch. I hope we get to explain the background of this a bit more in depth in the future. Right now the fix for curving torps is being tested on PT and should be implemented with the 0.10.8 Update. We work as a global team and this campaign is the same globally, no matter which server you are playing on. Hi, Please don't spread this kind of misinformation. There will be many players who can verify that they didn't get this in the last bundle - it's randomized. Some get it earlier, some get it later. For the Santa containers we made a big mistake by not including the info we shared in previous years about the mechanic of the containers and we offered full refunds for this. We also addressed the technical aspects for the limitation of sales in the Armory. We're straight up about the coupon - yes we don't want this to be used with the coupon, same as with ships in the featured tab during that period of time. Have a good start into this week :) Crysantos

So WG ask for respect then we get this
Crysantos replied to King_Of_The_Potatoes's topic in General Discussion
Yes, as I've said we investigated this case internally and our stance on this behavior is very clear - it's not acceptable. We're not going to go into details who is responsible for this, but we wanted to update you on this situation: As you know, last Friday a bonus code with unacceptable content was distributed on our official stream, insulting our player and popular streamer Turry. This is unacceptable. We conducted an internal audit and found that this situation occurred due to the actions of one employee. He was suspended from work and the most stringent measures were applied to him according to the results of the audit. On behalf of the entire World of Warships team, we apologize to the players, the viewers of Friday's stream, and, most importantly, we apologize to Turry. We made a very disrespectful statement and are fully aware of our responsibility. We issued the bonuscode TURRYWEARESORRY to our global CIS audience for this incident. With respect and hope for your understanding, The World of Warships Team- 189 replies

It's vacation time and some of my team members are currently on vacation plus we do have a weekend. We answer where we can but if we can't provide any real insights or helpful comments it's sometimes better to not answer. In that case it would be better not to answer then I guess? Some players asked us about our stance on this and we gave the current update. That wasn't a hidden threat, if I feel you overstep our boundaries and forum rules I'll tell you directly. My question was sincere, I just wanted to understand what do you want to achieve with this post. Thanks for clarifying. No worries, I get the cynicism and current mood. We'll check what happened and then make decisions based on the outcome of that. None taken, just wanted to clarify so that we're on the same page. Thanks, I get your point better now. In that case I would only have one option until I can share more actionable points - not post at all. I don't think that sends a good signal either but I understand your frustration. I hope that my posts didn't contribute to that feeling. Greetings, Crysantos -

Crysantos replied to King_Of_The_Potatoes's topic in General Discussion
On the one side you say "don't try to pin this on one person" and on the other side you demand "a big head to roll" - that's contradictory. Sorry but that's not how we operate and you'll have to leave it up to the company to figure out what happened and if there was misconduct to deal with it internally. While I do speak for the company and represent WG here, it's neither my place nor position to make such calls. On the topic of constructive - what do you want to achieve with this post besides venting? Discourage staff to reply? This isn't an easy topic and we were tagged here, so I try to answer what I can. You might not appreciate or care about my answer, but others do. Have a nice week, Crysantos -
So WG ask for respect then we get this
Crysantos replied to King_Of_The_Potatoes's topic in General Discussion
Hi, this situation is being investigated internally. We do appreciate criticism even if we disagree and we ask to stay constructive, I expect the same from us. You know my stance on this and it won't change. I think you've been long enough on this forum and interacted with me to know that - even though we might disagree on many points - I always ask everybody to be respectful and constructive. That's at least for me personally the basis for communication to be able to have a meaningful discussion and I do the same. I can't comment on this case since I don't know what happened yet as I've said above. I don't know what happened here but I know that it's being investigated at the moment. One thing I ask for - and I know that we're currently in heated discussions and many of you shared your frustrations - is to please not make this discussion about nationality or origin. There will be always be cultural differences in this world but we're operating on a global scale. We act as one company and not as individuals, we share the good and the bad - if a fail happens, we share the burden as well as we celebrate success together. I'm very sorry if it's perceived this way and I hope we get to change this in the future :( I know words don't mean very much right now but I still want to say this here. Take care, Crysantos -

I expect people to not abuse anybody. It doesn't matter to me what status you have or where you are from, whether you are a CC, employee, a player or any other human being. I try my very best, in private life and in my professional career to treat everybody with respect and in the same way that I would expect to be treated. Unfortunately this doesn't always work out, I'm not perfect and sometimes people might take things the wrong way. I'm sorry when that happens and strife to be better, but it's the risk when communicating in general and especially with larger crowds. It's a challenge when talking to over 10.000 people in parallel, trying to address complex issues and topics where people tune in / tune out and not in their/my native tongue in many cases. You have to decide for yourself whether you want to believe / trust / respect me. When it comes to my personal opinion - that doesn't really matter here in my professional capacity and I won't get into legal topics or discussions, that's not my expertise. Now let's both enjoy our weekends, take care -

Well I can't speak for Conway who addressed this question, we might be called the Twins but we're not entirely interchangeable I absolutely agree with LWM that we should never write in anger, nothing good will come out of that. I hope I was able to clarify some of the points and provide some context. I wish you a great weekend! -
Tonight's official Livestream a request
Crysantos replied to King_Of_The_Potatoes's topic in General Discussion
I'm sorry if you feel that way. But when we say, don't be a willy, we mean it in general - and it was Conway quoting somebody from chat when we talked about general behavior. There's no excuse to go around and insult people because they don't share your opinion or don't do what you want them to do. There has been a lot of this lately - also towards current members of the CC program who didn't leave. We usually pull around 6-10k viewers these days for our EU streams for quite a long time already but I agree that this stream of course had extra attention from players. That is simply not true. When this topic was brought up - and please keep in mind the question was in context of disrespecting her by getting her name wrong - Conway explained why we used this name. It's her Discord nickname. We talk with our CCs very often and we're used to the nicknames and tagging them, there was no disrespect intended and we also offered to change if LWM wants that. You want us to address things, you want us to be transparent and we explained this in a direct way - nowhere did we say anything close to what you are claiming here. If you don't believe me, look up LWM's own take on her initial reaction. We try to pick as many questions as possible and it's almost impossible to catch every question when you have several thousand players interacting with you in chat. We're not afraid of addressing difficult topics and we spent like an hour talking about all of these aspects. When it comes to the survey I'll have to doublecheck but it sounds to me like a usual NPS survey which is designed to be that short. If you participate in our regular surveys, e.g. the ones we share in streams, you have a lot of open text fields to provide us with detailed feedback and comments. If you watched the stream to the end then you know that I fully acknowledge that we're one company, one team. All the positive, all the negative stuff. I'm not afraid to speak my opinion and I've been always very clear how I see derogative and insulting comments - be in game, in chat or in real life. I do think that you shouldn't do that or else you won't be able to have a conversation where both parties will listen and respect each others opinion. I value your input and while we might have different point of views I always respect you as a person, as long as you as don't try to attack people personally. I do ask you to keep it civil, I show you the same courtesy. As part of the company I do my part to improve things and I do take my share of blame when we fail to do so. I'm not asking you to go easy on me because I'm not XY, I own my statements and mistakes. For you CC question - I think right now isn't the best time to add new CCs. We'll take a close look at our program and potential changes before we add new CCs to it. We had somebody attacking the channel with a bot spamming racist comments so we built in this blocker (but the setting was 1 week). Have a nice weekend, Crysantos
