You’re arguing for CV genocide? CVs need to do a lot of damage to remain viable, don’t see how they are a problem. Teams are balanced so there’s always one CV vs another.

I mean, the sheer hatred feels uncalled for. I made the mistake of sharing my first CV thread with a gaming related (but not WoWs related) discord server I was active on, and still today the memes '-1 bad CV main' and 'goddamn CV mains' are still thrown at me on occaison. It feels like any debate about buffing CV mains gets shut down by the community, though in both my previous threads, the discussion turned civil after five pages.

Hmm, I’ll think about it… In fairness it went far better than my previous two CV threads, the sheer amount of toxicity…

Hi All, If you are unaware, WG are planning to nerf CVs in two ways: Remove plane spotting Massively reduce strike power by changing how it interacts with aa and making recalling slower. As these together represent the largest shift in gameplay in WoWs, history, I have attached a poll to see how you would restore CVs to balance. I note that I do not think CVs are overpowered (and think they need a small buff in their current state), but I don't think it's unreasonable to think that these nerfs would be excessive. I would like to note that due to CVs role, as a strategic class in a tactical game as one forumite put it, I do think CVs will have to be more impactful than other classes to see play, and I don't see their current state as unreasonable. I do know that a lot of people don't like CVs but I seriously don't think that it is healthy for a class to be nerfed into oblivion. I would like to know what other people think. I mean I can see what you are saying, it was probably a bad idea to add CVs into the game. But now they are here, CVs essentially need to have a higher damage output than any other class because: CVs see more of the map so to feel impactful CVs have to do more damage. CVs don't usually have other ways of influencing the map, e.g. tanking fire They can get shut out of the map if uptiered in a way other classes don't. At the end of the day, CVs are a strategic class in a tactical game, and they have to be treated like it. As for the Malta issue, other ships (scharnhorst) have been designed to destroy other classes before..

I say clearly ‘if CVs have to be buffed’, voting does not imply you agree, it’s why I added question 1.

If you vote no in question 1, it indicates you don’t think a buff is needed..

I see, I did consider the option of a ‘don’t know’ button, but I was concerned everyone would choose it, as picking an option is hard, and I wanted to see what people thought. Is there an option to add a ‘other’ reply on these forum polls?

I did say “if CVs have to be buffed, how would you do it”, so I don’t see the problem tbh
