    I’m going to say this. T8 CVs play VERY differently to t6s, training wheels come off. I like t8 more, t6 feels stale in comparison. It’s not harder as such, just different. Your Damage potential skyrockets at t8 as well which is always a good thing

    Any tips for doing damage? I copied some advice in game and tried ramboing the ram with a french bb in fandoms and got an average of 13k/game... i also cant seem to make my carriers work, and I was only hitting 60k with the shokaku, which took ages, as it’s planes seemed to fall out of the sky.

    I think it's because they set it up incorrectly, it was meant to be deal 150k damage using carriers, but it became deal 150k damage to carriers. so they reset it and made it deal 500k damage to anything (merging it with the deal 350k damage to other ship types).

    Oh nice, they've hotfixed it, it's now 500k damage to all ships, i suppose they hjust merged the 2 missions. Edit: they sadly appear to have reset curretn progres...

    i cant see WG deliberately encouraging this playstyle also there appears to be only 1 CV allowed in each game on each side, and they usually survive the game...

    Just done the same.. The missions are now impossible. The only way you can really do it is get a carrier and suicide rush your TBs into the enemy one...

    quick question about rewards, the in game mission says do damage to CVs, but the article says doing 150k damage playing carriers.     No problem! It was fun contributing to the community! And honestly, I don't know, I was very careful to ignore the 'I just won a premium ship, here's a screenshot' posts. It is possible, they were using a different methodology to collect the data, I suppose only @Silentraz can tell us more, unless a red post appears..... Added your data now, not quite sure how that happened... It is no problem, I was very curious about this topic, the community kept talking about TYL containers being not worth it, despite me picking them for about 6 months. I got curious to see if the data supported them. In my opinion, it does.

    Hi All, I'm sorry to say that I'm going to stop updating this spreadsheet on Saturday. This is for several reasons: I currently have 1,132 SC results in the spreadsheet, and the percentages have not changed significantly since I had 600 SCs. I think the key points are clear for everyone who wants to see them. To my knowledge this is the largest data collection on SCs. It is also roughly double last year's tally, so I think that this is probably enough. Side note: they've apparently halved the ship drop chance since last year >_< The early flood of data is over, the average size of each data submission has fallen, so it's taking longer per container, to update the spreadsheet. In addition, the number of submissions has fallen, so I think it is probably time to call time on this project The key findings of this project have been heavily discussed. Can I thank everyone who has submitted data to me, and an especial thank you to @Leo_Apollo11 for his help publicising this research, and also to two anonymous people, one who formatted the spreadsheet into something that looks amazing. The other person managed to find the one incorrect data entry in the project apparently by proof reading the whole document, whoever you are, thank you for your dedication.     CV Lexington stuff

    1. T8 carriers remove the 'training wheels' from their t6 variants, you can more easily lose all your planes, you need to learn to conserve your planes @El2aZeR has done a couple of threads on how to it. But the basics are you should be playing very conservatively early game and wait for the enemy to split up so they don't cover each other with their aa bubbles. Also avoid the big 3 AA cruisers, Worcester, Minotaur and DM. 2. normal, credits profit peaks at t6/7 w/o premium, and t7/8 with premium if you are decent. 3. have you upgraded your modules, your modifications and your captain? IMHO you need a 10pt caption to do well at t8. 4. subjective. You should also learn to play an aa cruiser of some description to learn aa, it helped me develop as a carrier. 19 'penetrating hits' and 3 torpedo hits is shockingly bad, can I suggest going to el2azer's youtube channel and seeing some of his replays, I suggest the Midway replays rather than the enterprise ones. The game is balanced so people cannot only play high tiers. For interest, buying fitting out a midway costs ±35million credits. Could I also suggest joining a clan, they get credit and xp bonuses.     Toxicity against carriers

    As someone who plays quite a bit of CVs (Enterprise and Midway mostly), I can assure you good players can stop me dropping bombs on them 'flush' this hugely reduces my damage output. In fairness, I have largely been farming the Seattle recently so I could be slightly biased, but when I play surface ships, I can always feel like I'm mitigating damage, and I can 'feel' their damage reducing if I'm paying attention and turn in the right way no matter what ship I'm in.
