Don’t worry about it - as long as you can afford it, there is no right way to play. The only thing I would recomend is make sure you set your birthday so you can stock up on doubloons. Btw you don’t need to sell your ships to convert the xp into fxp, you can do it by clicking on the fxp counter in the top right of your game. I generally recomend not selling premium ships, and using filters to sort the port.

Well maybe, but you don’t get many dragon flags anymore. They don’t hand them out as much anymore.

Why aren’t you complaining about alternative permanent camouflages for premium ships? That’s even worse value…

I think it’s because submarines don’t have a clear way of countering them. You are essentially having torpedos coming out of nowhere, and unlike DDs, you can’t dodge them. And often the only way of hurting them is on a 60second cool-down and won’t do much damage to the submarine. Depth charging a submarine is usually suicide in the first ten minutes of a game due to the short range. The fact that they are statistically weak doesn’t help as sinking a submarine involves a lot of people dropping air strikes on them or the sub doing something stupid. Dealing damage isn’t bad, but dealing damage with limited counterplay is not. As a carrier main I also don’t have any tools to sink them at all.

IIRC WG said they tried guided missiles in testing, but they weren't fun. They've said they won't include kamikaze planes, so I can't see these being any different.

Does anyone know when it'll go live? The news article which announced last month's (the turbine), said would end on the 17th of March, but it still appears to be available.

By this logic, WG deserve to be shut down as they are knowingly distracting people from more productive uses of their time by running an online game.

Sadly I want the Hakuryu and I FXPed my way through the Ryujo so I need to test Japanese carriers before taking the plunge :(

I met @Excavatus in his enterprise yesterday. I was in my stock shokaku so didn’t do too well…

if you have amazon prime, twitch gives you free in game stuff. Wows gives something away each month.

I usually assume it’s a premium container every other month, which works out at 6 ~£3 containers a year. Which isn’t something to knock. I just meant to say some of the drops haven’t been worth much to veteran players, and I think they were designed that way.

Iirc prime gaming goes from the 15th of each month to the 15th of the next month. That said, it’s only good roughly every fourth month. Most of the time it’s rubbish or a port queen. The only time it has Been impressive is the time they gave away the texas and this Christmas when they gave away a nice selection of Christmas crates.

They generally verbally promise not to, and have not done so. That said, this is the only time I’ve seen it done apart from the sims (on launch). Also the scharnhorst is not competitive right now and deserves a buff imo. This sadly won’t happen as too many people have it as it was a must buy premium for a while early in WoWs’s history.

They give out a lot of premium containers as well. I got a sims B year before last.

I mean in fairness it’s one drop a month, usually a ship about 15% of the time, so it was about two ships a year for the cost of a prime sub, which is possibly a bit too much for WG to be comfortable with.

I asked @Seraphice on discord about this and he said the mousepads would be shipped by the end of the month latest.
