Weren’t you telling me earlier that CVs were terrible for the game and now you are complaining about them not working properly and spent money to buy one?

I mean I knew a few people would dislike the idea of anything good for CVs, so I was expecting at most 5 downvotes, and then abandon the thread to let the CV players discuss the idea seriously, I wasn’t expecting quite such a sustained flood of responses and I don’t think it deserves them. I think this thread was more of a response to generically feeling static in existing Cv, combined with in-game toxicity when playing CV. You start to feel like an outcast from the game, with WG seeming to be ignoring CV players. +1 - Great idea!

I remember playing RTS CVs, enemy players would usually pop DFAA to scare you off rather than aim to destroy your planes. There wasn’t, but at the time, it was a CV in every third game iirc so most people didn’t bother to spec into it. Though I was at low tiers then.

Chkalov? Shokaku? Kaga? Lexington? Seriously, the Lexington is very close to the enty in terms of utility as HE bombs have a lot more versatility.

It's not just skill, the enemy DD can more easily reduce the amount of damage they take even if you play perfectly. It has also been hit by several accross the board AP nerfs. It feels much worse than it did.

Didn't RTS CVs have a higher alpha?

The enterprise is much weaker than it was, i'm not sure it's still the strongest...

Please don’t lionise RTS CVs, please. The power of CVs was insane then. I wasn’t at high tiers then, but a high skilled cv player could destroy a solo ship relatively easily about once a minute, whereas a bad cv could barely hit a torpedo. In addition they could cross drop torpedoes in addition to bombers and fighters. The main gimmick with CVs at this point was the fighters’ strafing attack, which was janky as hell.

True. Its more of i get a feeling that CVs are ignored planning events, it seems most people think what I suggested in this thread is a bad idea...

Whut, the only way this could work is if subs could pass undetected through the entire enemy team, and then attack the CV without being detected, and THEN kill the cv before the CV's friends kill the sub. Bonus points as CVs are faster than subs. I think CVs should be able to do something about subs, but I would say they don't interact with each other (bad game design) rather than counter each other.

I know >_< I know others say CVs players are evil, but playing them does take a toll for the reasons you mentioned, then WG ignores us with the events and it feels like we are left out… I left out the last point (which I agree with) just because I don’t want to start the CV is overpowered already discussion. just some recognition would be nice

You don't like bad CV players?

Just to be clear, I am not asking for a CV buff (apart from a way of fighting subs), but only that we get some events sometimes to make the game more interesting.

On point 5, i don't recall any recently... The last i recall was about a year ago... CVs iirc the most expensive class to buy premiums for, and i'm not sure why.

I only got the CV bug about a year ago, so my stats are still in flux.

I mean, I'm a CV main so I'm used to being reported.... I knew this topic was going to be controversial as most players want fewer CVs, but they're in the game, but why specificially do you disagree apart from CVs bad?

I'm not talking about development work in Russia, i'm talking about which game version russian players will have. I can't see Russian players being unable to play up to date WoWs in the long term.

What i'd expect would happen is that Lesta would then sign a contract with WG to buy the right to keep the server parity with the rest of the world after the crisis is over. It makes no financial sense to develop the game twice, or run the risk of Lesta Studios releasing an improved game into the rest of the world. This is in several years time if and when the political climate is more forgiving.

I mean the problem for me is that US CVs are fairly similar… It’s basically a scaled down USS US…. I have literally only bought one ship, so I have to be a bit picky about what I buy… I have 10k dubs burning a hole in my pocket from the last twitch drop, but I’m certain the hornet will be very expensive, and the Kaga and chkalov both have good reviews… Very temping though…
